"Abel, I never expected you to be this kind of person. You deceived me here for money and caused the deaths of my fifteen Elite Ninjas. If I manage to survive and return, I will definitely report to my superior. At that time, the relationship between our Island Nation and the United States will no longer be as close as it used to be," Meihiko said coldly to Abel.
"Abel, what are you waiting for? Hurry up and tie her up; I don't have time to watch your act," came Chen Haoxuan's impatient voice from inside the room.
"Chen Haoxuan, you bastard! You want us to turn against each other, but we won't fall for your tricks," Abel shouted angrily.
"Abel, you should know that I am a person with limited patience. If you haven't tied up Meihiko in five minutes, then you all can forget about coming out; you'll be my captives together!" Chen Haoxuan said coldly.
Chen Haoxuan was in the living room, watching the computer screen and chuckling to himself. He initially planned to capture Abel and his group and hand them over to the police, allowing Li Delin to gain some merit. However, when he saw Meihiko was present, his plan changed. He wanted Meihiko and Abel to turn against each other, making him, their common enemy, an inconsequential bystander.
This was much better than offending both sides at once because Chen Haoxuan knew that even if he handed Abel and his group over to the police, they would be released quickly. After all, they were rare talents, and their countries would find ways to ensure their safety.
"I am not cooperating with you; stop deceiving Meihiko," Abel shouted.
"Abel, I am very disappointed in you. I thought we would have many opportunities for cooperation, but now I've changed my mind. Meihiko, do you want to cooperate with me? As long as you work with me, you can get anything you want: money, technology, talent, martial arts..." Chen Haoxuan said.
"I agree to your terms; you won't kill me, right?" Meihiko asked, genuinely believing him.
"You agreed to work with me; how could I possibly kill you? If anyone were to die, it would be that traitor Abel!" Chen Haoxuan sneered.
"How can I trust your words?" Meihiko replied coldly.
"You will believe me soon enough," Chen Haoxuan said.
Chen Haoxuan walked into the basement and used a silver needle to wake up each of the ninjas. Once all the ninjas were awake, Chen Haoxuan addressed them: "Listen up! I am now your leader's partner. Your leader is in danger; she is being held hostage by Abel and his subordinates in my room. Hurry up and save her."
“Baka, Abel has already said she can't be trusted. Everyone, hurry up and follow me to rescue the commander,” Yamamoto shouted to his companions.
“To prevent Abel from escaping, I will let you in and then close the door. Whether you can kill Abel and save your commander depends on you,” Chen Haoxuan said.
“Thank you, Mr. Chen. From now on, you are our friend in Island Nation. If you need anything, just let us know, and we will definitely help,” Yamamoto said seriously to Chen Haoxuan. If he knew that Chen Haoxuan was deceiving them, he wondered if they would still say such things.
“Go save your boss!” Chen Haoxuan replied.
In Chen Haoxuan's room, Abel and Meihiko were on guard against each other when suddenly the door was kicked open. Abel happily exclaimed, “Meihiko, the door is open! Let's escape!”
“Baka, do you think you can get away? Daring to deceive us Island Nation people means you all have to die,” Yamamoto and his fifteen companions blocked the doorway.
At that moment, Chen Haoxuan's voice rang out again: “Meihiko, you really believe what I said now! To make you trust me, I have released all your subordinates.”
“This…” Meihiko hesitated. Abel's identity was not simple; if the United States people found out she killed Abel, she would meet a terrible fate.
Meihiko's subordinates entered the narrow room, and as soon as they did, the door closed again.
“Meihiko, now that you have so many subordinates, why are you afraid of her? Kill her, and you can live! If you refuse, I will cooperate with Abel again. If she doesn’t agree either, then you both can go to hell!” Chen Haoxuan declared.
Then Chen Haoxuan continued, “Yamamoto, it’s clear that you really like Meihiko. Honestly, I envy you; the person you like is so beautiful and adorable. As a man, you should protect her from the storm. Go! Kill Abel.”
“Kill!” Yamamoto shouted as he charged at Abel, with his companions following suit.
At that moment, Chen Haoxuan suddenly yelled: “Not good! This is bad; the system is malfunctioning! Yamamoto, hurry up and kill Abel! The window at the top of the room will open soon; if she escapes, we will all be in trouble.”
Yamamoto listened to Chen Haoxuan's words and immediately intensified his attack. Abel was quite clever; she raised her gun and with a bang, shot out the lights in the room, plunging it into darkness where nothing could be seen.
A buzzing sound echoed as Abel's subordinate No. 1 suddenly shouted, "Commander, hurry, the window is open, come up!"
"Don't let them escape; kill them!" Yamamoto shouted loudly. He was aware of Abel's identity, and to avoid unnecessary trouble for Meihiko, he needed to kill Abel and dispose of the body. As long as Chen Haoxuan didn't say anything, who would know that Abel died at their hands?
To save her life, Abel couldn't care less about anything else. She fired both guns simultaneously, bang bang bang... The sound was like a machine gun as bullets continuously erupted from her weapons.
Meihiko, seeing that the window in the ceiling was already open and moonlight illuminated the room enough to see vaguely, witnessed Abel slaughtering her people. Unable to hold back any longer, she raised her handgun and fired, bang bang...
With a thud, Abel was hit in the shoulder. She quickly rolled on the ground. Subordinates No. 1 and No. 3 had already climbed onto the roof. Seeing their commander in danger, they opened fire. In an instant, a brutal scene unfolded in the cramped room; Meihiko dodged bullets while her subordinates were killed one by one by Abel and her team.
Abel jumped up suddenly; her subordinate quickly grabbed her hand and pulled her up to the roof. "Meihiko, you will pay a heavy price for what you did today," were Abel's last words.
"Yamamoto, Yamamoto, are you still there?" Meihiko called out repeatedly in the dark room.
"Meihiko, I'm still here," Yamamoto replied as he pushed aside a partner's corpse. If he hadn't used his partner's body to shield himself from Abel's bullets in time, he might have already been dead.
