The person who climbed onto the roof quickly came down because the windows on the roof were also fixed and could not be opened.
They discovered that Chen Haoxuan's door was unlocked, and it opened with a push. Upon entering, they found a small door inside that could only allow one person to pass at a time. He let one person go in first to scout.
Chen Haoxuan had installed an alarm system; if someone intruded into his residence, a device he carried would vibrate. After waking up, he turned on the desktop computer next to him.
"Wasn't he sleeping? Why did he suddenly wake up? Did he notice our people?" Abel muttered to herself, as she could see Chen Haoxuan through the window of his residence from her angle.
"Maybe! But so what if he woke up? I have fifteen experts here, and he's all alone. What can he do, ha ha ha..." Meihiko said confidently.
Seeing Meihiko smile so confidently made Abel want to strangle her. Her subordinates had already suffered two losses, and instead of comforting her, Meihiko kept saying that the agents from the United States were nothing special. She wished for nothing more than for Chen Haoxuan to wipe out all of Meihiko's subordinates. As for Chen Haoxuan, she could ask her superior for support and then fight him.
Meihiko's subordinate was the first to enter without any issues, so they continued to go in one after another. Once inside, they found doors everywhere; most of them could be opened, which left them unsure of where to go. They turned and turned but couldn't find their way out. The doors were made of stainless steel, and they marked the doors with knives, but no matter how they turned, they couldn't escape from the formation designed by Chen Haoxuan.
If Chen Haoxuan wasn't home, they might have been lucky enough to find their way out. However, with him at home, there was no way they could successfully escape from the formation unless they dismantled all the doors. The problem was that these doors were made of stainless steel, which was very hard; it would be difficult to destroy them by sheer manpower.
"Where are they? Why aren't they making a move?" Meihiko wondered as she saw Chen Haoxuan still playing on his computer through the window. She felt something was off; logically, her people should have launched an attack on Chen Haoxuan by now! But why hadn't they appeared after such a long time?
Abel said smugly, "Hmph, I told you to be careful of Chen Haoxuan, but you wouldn't listen. Now your subordinates might have fallen into Chen Haoxuan's trap and are all done for."
"You’re talking nonsense! They are our Island Nation's best ninjas; they won't be defeated so easily. Perhaps they're temporarily unable to attack for some reason. Once the timing is right, they'll show up," Meihiko replied seriously.
"My subordinates are also experts, and look what happened! One was forced to death by Chen Haoxuan, and another was unknowingly captured alive by him. How much stronger do you think your subordinates are compared to mine? Hmph, self-righteous little brat," Abel scolded angrily; she couldn't stand others being arrogant in front of her.
"You... how can you say that? I'm your partner!" Meihiko retorted angrily at Abel.
"Partner, it depends on whether you can help me. If you can't do anything, don't expect to gain anything from me," Abel said with a snort.
Meihiko no longer paid attention to Abel; she was fixated on Chen Haoxuan, silently praying, "Yamamoto, please show up! As long as you capture Chen Haoxuan, I’ll sleep with you for a month."
Meihiko's subordinates did not have earpieces like Abel's. It wasn't that they couldn't afford them; their combat style differed from Abel's. They preferred to stealthily approach their targets and take them by surprise. In contrast, Abel's group favored long-range assassinations, which allowed them to use earpieces. Meihiko's team could not do so because they needed to get close, and using earpieces might alert the target.
Chen Haoxuan was using a computer that allowed him to see the situation inside the formation. After confirming that no one else was entering, he pressed the Enter key. As he did, thick smoke began to rise from the ground within the formation. A few ninjas accidentally inhaled the smoke and immediately collapsed.
"This smoke is toxic! Cover your mouth and nose and get out quickly!" an Elite Ninja shouted. However, as he spoke, he inhaled a bit of the smoke and soon fell to the ground.
The ninjas inside the formation were in chaos. They initially thought the smoke was only in the area they had just been in, but soon realized it was everywhere. Except for a few elite ninjas, most had already been incapacitated by the smoke. The remaining elite ninjas were holding their breath, their faces turning red. If this continued, they would suffocate.
Seeing the elite ninjas' flushed faces made Chen Haoxuan laugh out loud. He muttered to himself, "Hehehe... so this is what legendary ninjas are like! How can they be so weak? They can't even reach me and yet think they can assassinate me? I disdain your ignorance."
Across from Chen Haoxuan's residence, Meihiko noticed him suddenly laughing and curiously asked, "Why is Chen Haoxuan laughing? Is he mocking my subordinates?"
"I think so," Abel replied with a faint smile.
"Abel, have your subordinates shoot at Chen Haoxuan's legs. Then we can go capture him together. Are you brave enough?" Meihiko said seriously to Abel. She suspected her subordinates had already been defeated and knew she had to take risks for the benefit of Island Nation.
"What do I have to be afraid of? Not long ago, I charged into Chen Haoxuan's room alone and made him flee in disgrace. Unlike your subordinates, who didn't even make a sound before disappearing," Abel sneered.
Meihiko didn't want to argue further with Abel; she urged him again, "Let your subordinates shoot!"
"Number One, Number Three, can you see Chen Haoxuan?" Abel asked her subordinates through the earpiece.
"Number One here, ready."
"Number Three here, also ready."
"I'll count to three. Number One will target Chen Haoxuan's left leg, and Number Three will target Chen Haoxuan's right leg," Abel commanded.
"Number One received."
"Number Three received."
"One, two, three, fire," Abel ordered.
With two muffled sounds, they used silenced sniper rifles this time, so the noise was minimal and wouldn't disturb the nearby residents. The windows of Chen Haoxuan's residence were marked with two impressions on the bulletproof glass.
"Damn it, he actually used bulletproof glass for his windows," Abel cursed.
"Hehehe... gather your men! Let's go together," Meihiko suggested with a smile. Seeing Abel at a disadvantage lightened her mood a bit after just losing her subordinates.
