Yang Lin is a troublemaker at New City University, and everyone knows it. He requests leave very quickly; he runs to his homeroom teacher's office and says, "I have something to do, I need to take a few months off, I'm leaving now." It's that simple. The reason he can get leave so fast is that the teachers at the school would rather he leave; without him at New City University, it would be much more peaceful.
Chen Haoxuan leaves Li Jun and Li Botao to ensure Chen Yina's safety while he drives Yang Lin to Chen Family Village.
When Chen Haoxuan drives into Chen Family Village, he notices that there are very few people out enjoying themselves; it feels deserted, as if the village has hardly any residents.
Chen Haoxuan drives into the villa. After getting out of the car, he tells Yang Lin to go find Lin Hao and the others. Yang Lin has been here before and is quite familiar with Chen Haoxuan's home. Moreover, Yang Lin has a good relationship with Lin Hao, so Chen Haoxuan is not worried about Yang Lin being neglected.
Excitedly, Yang Lin goes off to find Lin Hao while Chen Haoxuan heads to Chen Yina's house. In the yard, he sees Li Ping chopping meat alone. Noticing her occasionally rubbing her arms, he realizes she must be tired. Chen Haoxuan walks over and says to Li Ping, "Aunt Ping, don't worry about that for now; I need to talk to you about something."
Li Ping doesn't notice him when he enters until he speaks up. She looks up and sees it's Chen Haoxuan, her face immediately breaking into a kind smile. "Haoxuan, you're back! Oh! Where's Nana? She didn't come back?"
"She didn't come back. I'm here because I have some matters to handle. Aunt Ping, when I drove into the village just now, I noticed it was so quiet; it’s not lively like it used to be. What's going on?" Chen Haoxuan squats down in front of Li Ping and asks.
"This is all their own doing. When you were starting your business in Chen Family Village, they made things difficult for you everywhere. Now that you've moved the Clothing Factory away, those who used to run small businesses in our village have left too. Even those who worked in your Clothing Factory have followed you to New City. You could say that all the people who could make money have left; only those who can't earn anything or lack ability are left in Chen Family Village.
When you were here, villagers' conversations revolved around you; now that you've gone, they have nothing to talk about. Bored, they can only focus their energy on farming. Nowadays, villagers mostly work in the fields or stay at home; they rarely come out," Li Ping replies.
"I leave and it turns into this? They really depend on me too much," Chen Haoxuan exclaims in surprise.
"Who told you to be so capable? Just look at Xiaomin's family; they rely on you for their new house. And look at those women from the village who worked in your Clothing Factory; they've all bought new furniture for their homes. Tell me, which of those who followed you hasn't had their life improved? So the villagers all want to rely on you for wealth; now that you've moved the Clothing Factory to New City and don't come back often, they think you've abandoned them," Li Ping says.
"I understand that; let's wait a bit longer! If they truly change their ways, I'll consider helping them become wealthy too; after all, I'm not losing money myself," Chen Haoxuan replies with a smile.
"By the way, what brings you back?" Li Ping asked Chen Haoxuan.
"In a few days, there's a martial arts competition, and I want Lin Hao and the others to participate. That's why I came back specifically to train them for a few days before the competition starts. Aunt Ping, please cook some nutritious meals for them so they can replenish their strength," Chen Haoxuan said to Li Ping.
"Okay, I understand," Li Ping replied.
"From now on, I'll send a few people over to help you during mealtime, so you won't have to handle everything alone and get tired," Chen Haoxuan said with concern.
"Xuan, that's not necessary. I can manage on my own; just let them focus on training," Li Ping said happily. In her heart, she thought, "I don't know what kind of blessing I've earned in this life to have such a good son-in-law."
"They'll go crazy if they train every day without any break, so it's only right to give them something to do. Besides, tasks like chopping bones are perfect for them since they're strong," Chen Haoxuan smiled.
"Alright then!" Li Ping felt a bit embarrassed to refuse Chen Haoxuan's kindness again.
"I'll head back now; take your time with your work," Chen Haoxuan said goodbye to Li Ping and left.
In the past, there were always a few women helping Li Ping at home. Moved by their assistance, she had invited those women to learn sewing at the Clothing Factory. Now that there was no one to help her, Chen Haoxuan felt a little guilty towards Li Ping.
Chen Haoxuan returned to the villa and went to the training area behind it where Lin Hao and the others were practicing. When he arrived at Yang Lin's training spot, he saw Yang Lin being beaten by Li Wenshan, the weakest member of the Security Team. Without needing to think, Chen Haoxuan knew that Yang Lin must have challenged Li Wenshan; otherwise, Lin Hao and the others wouldn't have ignored it.
Seeing Chen Haoxuan arrive, Yang Lin worried that he might misunderstand. He walked over to Chen Haoxuan and said, "Boss, don't get the wrong idea; they're just sparring, not fighting."
"Yeah, I can see that," Chen Haoxuan replied with a smile. He believed that starting today, Yang Lin would train hard because he had lost to the weakest member of his Security Team today; for the sake of his pride, Yang Lin would give it his all.
Yang Lin had been knocked down by Li Wenshan many times, and it was only when blood trickled from the corner of his mouth that he finally called for a stop.
"Stop, I give up," Yang Lin said dejectedly. At that moment, he felt a deep sense of frustration. He was the weakest among Lin Hao and the others, and he couldn't even fight back. Being knocked down repeatedly was a huge blow to his strong sense of pride.
"Yang Lin, don't be disheartened. As long as you are willing to work hard, you will surpass them one day," Chen Haoxuan said with a smile.
"Of course! If I trained every day like they do, not to mention Lin Hao, even you, Haoxuan, wouldn't be able to beat me," Yang Lin boasted.
"Confidence is good, but overconfidence can be harmful," Chen Haoxuan joked.
After speaking with Yang Lin, Chen Haoxuan suddenly shouted, "Everyone assemble!"
Upon hearing those words, Lin Hao and the others didn't have time to think; their bodies instinctively rushed to line up in front of Chen Haoxuan. This was a habit they had developed over the years.
Seeing Yang Lin standing there in a daze and not coming to line up, Chen Haoxuan couldn't help but scold him loudly, "I called for everyone to assemble! Didn't you hear? Hurry up and line up." Training was different; they couldn't be playful as usual. It had to be strict in order to train capable individuals.
