"Alright," Chen Haoxuan replied.
Seeing that Chen Haoxuan had agreed, Chen Yina didn't know what else to say.
Chen Haoxuan drove Chen Yina and the others back to Chen Family Village. Following behind him was Lin Hao, who was riding a motorcycle. Lin Hao was the captain of the Security Team and was supposed to be responsible for training the team, rather than Jiang Dong, who served as the deputy captain.
In Chen Haoxuan's car, Zhou Kexin and Chen Yina both showed expressions of joy, while Hua Lingwei looked different; she wore a bitter expression. She felt like a third wheel because both Zhou Kexin and Chen Yina were Chen Haoxuan's girlfriends, while she was not. She hadn't wanted to come, but Zhou Kexin insisted on dragging her into the car, saying that sisters should be together every day. She wanted to tell Zhou Kexin, "Just because you get married doesn't mean I have to marry along with you!"
Upon arriving at Chen Family Village, Chen Yina went home, while Zhou Kexin and Hua Lingwei followed Chen Haoxuan back to his house.
Once they reached the villa, Chen Haoxuan went to make coffee for Zhou Kexin and the others.
Zhou Kexin made herself at home, lounging on the sofa in an ungraceful manner. It was unclear whether she was trying to seduce Chen Haoxuan as she smiled and said, "Ah, Haoxuan's home is so comfortable, even more so than mine!"
"Of course it feels good; it's your boyfriend's house!" Hua Lingwei thought to herself.
Hua Lingwei then spoke up to Zhou Kexin, "Zhou Kexin, I'm just going to sit for a bit before heading back."
Hearing Hua Lingwei's words, Zhou Kexin sat up in confusion and asked, "Why?"
"You and Chen Yina are both Chen Haoxuan's girlfriends; it's only natural for you to stay here. But I'm not his girlfriend, so it feels awkward for me to stay at his house! I want to go home where no one will say anything," Hua Lingwei explained.
Zhou Kexin tugged at Hua Lingwei's hand playfully and said, "Vivi, please have some pity on me! If you're not here, what if someone bullies me? You're my good sister! I feel sad if I don't see you for even a day."
"I am your good sister, but I can't accompany you for a lifetime! Don't tell me you want me to be Chen Haoxuan's lover like you," Hua Lingwei replied.
At that moment, Chen Haoxuan came out carrying a tray and happened to overhear Hua Lingwei's words. He jokingly said, "Being my lover doesn't sound bad!" He didn't understand why he was becoming increasingly mischievous; having Chen Yina wasn't enough for him.
Hua Lingwei awkwardly explained to Chen Haoxuan, "I was just joking, don't take it seriously."
Hua Lingwei's words made Zhou Kexin genuinely wish for Hua Lingwei to become Chen Haoxuan's secret lover like herself. After all, Hua Lingwei already knew about her relationship with Chen Haoxuan, and they were closer than sisters. Zhou Kexin earnestly said to Hua Lingwei, "Vivi, I actually have this idea! Why not be a secret lover of Haoxuan like me? When we find someone we truly like later and get married, wouldn't that be great?"
"Uh..." Hua Lingwei was speechless. She liked Chen Haoxuan, but she wasn't at the level Zhou Kexin was at. Besides, she didn't want to share a man with so many people! She wanted a lover who belonged entirely to her.
"Don't you like Chen Haoxuan?" Zhou Kexin asked curiously upon seeing Hua Lingwei's expression.
"Don't ask me that; I'm still a single girl! If you ask me like that, I'll get shy," Hua Lingwei shyly replied.
Chen Haoxuan brought coffee to Zhou Kexin and the others and said to Zhou Kexin, "Zhou Kexin, you know Vivi is shy, so stop teasing her. Come drink the coffee I made."
The DVD player bought by Chen Haoxuan's family had gaming functions. To find some entertainment, Chen Haoxuan took out the remote control and played games with Zhou Kexin and the others, where the loser would give up their seat.
Chen Yina initially planned to go home and greet her family before heading to Chen Haoxuan's house. However, she couldn't go to Chen Haoxuan's house for now because her brother brought a female classmate home, claiming she was his girlfriend.
At Chen Yina's home, her family treated Chen Feng's girlfriend like royalty, but it seemed that Chen Feng's girlfriend was quite dissatisfied with them.
Chen Feng's girlfriend was named Qian Xiaozhen; she was in the same class as him and of the same age. Chen Feng had recently started dating Qian Xiaozhen during the holidays and wanted to bring her home to please his parents. His girlfriend came from a good family; both of her parents were senior white-collar workers.
Qian Xiaozhen had believed Chen Feng when he said his family was wealthy and that his brother-in-law was billionaire Chen Haoxuan from New City. However, now she saw a house that looked bare; although there were plenty of appliances and an abundance of fruits inside, could a house made of mud really be lived in? If she married Chen Feng in the future, would she have to live in such a house? She was the child of senior white-collar workers; how could she endure such hardship?
Qian Xiaozhen leaned close to Chen Feng's ear and quietly complained, "Didn't you say your family is rich? Why do you live in such a house?"
"We don't have time to build a new house right now! So we're living here temporarily," Chen Feng replied loudly without thinking much.
"I want to go home; take me back," Qian Xiaozhen said angrily to Chen Feng. She had spoken softly just now to avoid letting his family know, but unexpectedly, Chen Feng answered so loudly that it made her furious.
"Didn't you say you would stay at my house for two days?" Chen Feng asked curiously.
"Do you think your house has a place for me to stay?" Qian Xiaozhen replied unhappily.
In the living room, Chen Yina and the others understood Qian Xiaozhen's meaning; it was clear that she looked down on their poor home. Initially, Chen Yina and the others were very happy, but now they all sighed.
"My brother-in-law has plenty of rooms; are you afraid there won't be a place for you to stay?" Chen Feng said seriously to Qian Xiaozhen. People in love can be so clueless; he didn't even catch on to such an obvious hint from her.
"Your brother-in-law is your brother-in-law, and yours is yours. How could I let my girlfriend stay at my brother-in-law's house? I don't care; you have to take me back. If you don't take me, I'll just take a bus back myself," Qian Xiaozhen said angrily.
"If you don't want to stay at my brother-in-law's house, you can stay at my house! I'll let my sister stay at my brother-in-law's," Chen Feng said earnestly to Qian Xiaozhen.
Chen Yina finally couldn't hold back anymore. She said to her brother, "Xiao Feng, she might have something going on at home. Just take Dad's motorcycle and send her back!"
"Is there really something going on at your home?" Chen Feng still wanted to keep Qian Xiaozhen around.
"Yes, yes, I just remembered," Qian Xiaozhen quickly nodded in agreement.
