"You are impressive." Black Heart said with a painful expression, his fingers that were on the trigger were broken by Chen Haoxuan's two consecutive shots, making it impossible for him to shoot at Chen Haoxuan.
"You are not bad either! Even at this moment, you remain so calm," Chen Haoxuan replied with a proud smile.
"What's going on? Didn't Chen Haoxuan get shot by Black Heart twice? How is he still fine? Did he wear a bulletproof vest?" Li De muttered to himself.
A police officer next to Li De said, "Chief, those two shots weren't fired by Black Heart; they were fired by Chen Haoxuan. He shot Black Heart's index fingers off."
"Ah?? That can't be possible!" Li De exclaimed in surprise. He looked at Black Heart's hands and saw that both of his index fingers were indeed gone. He was incredibly shocked; he didn't expect Chen Haoxuan's marksmanship to be this impressive. He clearly saw Black Heart raise his gun first, yet it was Chen Haoxuan who defeated him. How fast must one be to achieve such an effect?
Chen Haoxuan coldly asked Black Heart, "Are you surrendering?"
"I will never surrender, even if I die," Black Heart replied firmly.
Bang bang! Two more gunshots rang out, both fired by Chen Haoxuan, hitting Black Heart's wrists. Then Chen Haoxuan stepped forward and swept his leg, causing Black Heart's index fingers to be gone. With his wrists shot as well, he could no longer exert any strength to hold onto his guns, which were then kicked away by Chen Haoxuan.
"Quickly arrest him," Chen Haoxuan shouted to the police.
Two officers rushed over and pinned Black Heart to the ground, disregarding the condition of his wrists as they handcuffed him.
"Chen Haoxuan, I will haunt you even as a ghost," Black Heart snarled at Chen Haoxuan, knowing that once captured, he would not survive due to his crimes of kidnapping Billionaire Chen Haoxuan, illegal possession of firearms, and openly opposing the police... all these offenses would surely lead to his execution.
"Great! When you become a ghost, come find me so I can see what a ghost looks like," Chen Haoxuan replied with a cold laugh.
Li De walked over to Chen Haoxuan and said, "Xuan, the Tile House is currently on fire; do you want to help put it out?"
"Yes, but not with water; instead, we will dismantle it. We'll take away all the wood that has been taken down, and the fire will naturally go out," Chen Haoxuan said calmly.
Li De had his men dismantle the Tile House, and Chen Haoxuan also enlisted the villagers to help tear down the house. With many hands working together, the Tile House was quickly dismantled completely, and all the wooden items inside were taken by the villagers for firewood.
With the Tile House dismantled, the fire was extinguished. Chen Haoxuan intended to compensate the landlord, but the landlord was not present. The villagers informed him that the landlord had gone on vacation. Therefore, Chen Haoxuan wrote a check for one hundred thousand Renminbi to Li De, asking him to give it to the landlord when he returned.
With the troublemaker caught, Chen Haoxuan had no further involvement in the matter. He drove to New City University to inform Chen Yina about the capture of the troublemaker so that she wouldn't have to live in constant fear. After catching up with Chen Yina on campus for a while, Chen Haoxuan drove back home.
On his way back to Chen Family Village, Chen Haoxuan encountered Jiang Dong, who was riding the motorcycle provided for them and had his secretary Miao Yuxiang with him. Seeing their closeness made Chen Haoxuan suspect that they might be dating.
When Chen Haoxuan saw Jiang Dong and Miao Yuxiang, he honked his horn as a greeting and continued driving back to Chen Family Village. While Chen Haoxuan didn't say anything about them, Jiang Dong and Miao Yuxiang thought otherwise. They suspected that Chen Haoxuan was upset. Jiang Dong stopped the motorcycle and turned to Miao Yuxiang, saying, "Xiangxiang, what should we do? Boss saw us."
"What do you mean what should we do? I'm not his wife; I came out with you. What does it have to do with him?" Miao Yuxiang replied, dissatisfied with Jiang Dong's lack of assertiveness.
"But we're technically on duty right now!" Jiang Dong said worriedly. Their security team took turns having days off, and Miao Yuxiang's day off was every Sunday. Today was Jiang Dong's turn, so he invited Miao Yuxiang out for a ride since he saw that Chen Haoxuan wasn't home. Unfortunately, they ran into Chen Haoxuan shortly after leaving.
"Boss treats us well; he definitely won't be angry," Miao Yuxiang reassured Jiang Dong, though she was really comforting herself since she was the one skipping work, not Jiang Dong.
"We should go back now. If Boss says anything to you, just tell him I insisted you come out," Jiang Dong said seriously to Miao Yuxiang. He had feelings for her; otherwise, he wouldn't have chosen to invite her out when there were many other young women at the Clothing Factory.
Miao Yuxiang also had feelings for Jiang Dong; otherwise, she wouldn't have agreed to his invitation to go out for a ride.
"Thank you, Jiang Dong, but you don't need to take the blame for me because I believe someone as good as Boss wouldn't do anything to me," Miao Yuxiang said.
Jiang Dong was no longer in the mood for a drive; he took Miao Yuxiang back to Chen Family Village. Jiang Dong returned to Chen Haoxuan's villa, while Miao Yuxiang went to the Clothing Factory to find Chen Haoxuan.
Sure enough, she saw Chen Haoxuan teaching employees how to make clothes at the Clothing Factory. With a nervous heart, she walked up to Chen Haoxuan and said, “Boss, I’m sorry.”
Chen Haoxuan knew why Miao Yuxiang was apologizing. He smiled lightly and said, “Dating is good, but it’s best to know when to separate. Just be careful in the future. By the way, I think you two really suit each other.”
Miao Yuxiang blushed at Chen Haoxuan's words and shyly replied, “Boss…”
“Alright! Don’t act spoiled in front of me. If Jiang Dong sees this, he will definitely suspect that I want to steal you away,” Chen Haoxuan joked.
“Boss, you’re so annoying! I won’t talk to you anymore; I’m going to work,” Miao Yuxiang said with a red face as she hurried away.
After staying at the Clothing Factory for a while, Chen Haoxuan stepped outside. He intended to go home but heard loud noises coming from Chen Yina's house. Out of curiosity, he walked in and found Li Ping arguing with a group of women from Chen Family Village.
“It’s not my fault that you ruined the fabric! Who told you not to follow the instructions on the design?” Li Ping yelled at the group of women in front of her.
“Do you think we’re geniuses? We can’t get it right on the first try! Besides, when you gave us the design, you didn’t specify that we had to follow exactly what was written on it. This isn’t our fault!” one woman shouted back at Li Ping. This woman was Zhou Hongxue, known as the most unreasonable woman in Chen Family Village.
