Chen Haoxuan made the first move, charging towards Yang Lin. As he got closer, Chen Haoxuan unleashed a flurry of punches: left swing, right swing, left hook, right hook, uppercut—a combination that forced Yang Lin to defend and dodge, leaving him no chance to counterattack.
Maintaining such speed was certainly unsustainable for Chen Haoxuan; his body was still in poor condition, though much better than before. Suddenly, he grabbed the fabric on Yang Lin's shoulders and pushed off with his feet, flipping over to land behind Yang Lin. Then, Chen Haoxuan tightly held onto the fabric on Yang Lin's shoulders and quickly bent down, attempting to throw Yang Lin off.
Having been in the streets for so long and having fought countless battles, Yang Lin was well aware of Chen Haoxuan's intentions. He almost bent down at the same time as Chen Haoxuan. As a result, Chen Haoxuan was thrown off because his strength was not greater than Yang Lin's. However, being thrown did not harm Chen Haoxuan; he performed a backflip and landed safely.
"Damn, you're actually that strong," Yang Lin exclaimed in surprise. He thought that if it weren't for his greater strength compared to Chen Haoxuan's, he might not have been able to withstand even one of Chen Haoxuan's moves. Although Chen Haoxuan's strength was not as great as his own, the combination punches that landed on his arms and stomach left him feeling sore all over.
"Hehe... now you've experienced my fighting skills," Chen Haoxuan said smugly.
Watching from the side, Ma Yichen and Liu Junfeng clapped excitedly. "Yang Lin," Ma Yichen shouted loudly, "you're such a cowardly man who can only take hits without fighting back. Don't tell me—Karate is like this."
Liu Junfeng joined in teasing, "Yang Lin, weren't you always bragging about how strong you are? Why do you look so pathetic today?"
Yang Lin felt embarrassed by their remarks and shot them a glare. "Damn it! If I'm not a man, then why don't you come and fight me? Let's see who's stronger." After saying that, he turned to Chen Haoxuan and said, "Xuan, I won't underestimate you this time; be careful!"
Chen Haoxuan laughed confidently. "Bring it on! I'll show you whether China's fighting skills are superior or if Island Nation's Karate is better."
In truth, Yang Lin didn't want to learn Karate; he just didn't know where else to learn martial arts. He felt he had no choice but to pursue it since lacking skills could be dangerous on the streets. If Chen Haoxuan's fighting skills were significantly better than his own, he would definitely give up Karate and choose to learn fighting techniques from Chen Haoxuan instead.
With a loud shout, Yang Lin charged at Chen Haoxuan. His speed created a gust of wind that swayed the grass on the ground aside as if welcoming him.
Chen Haoxuan smiled and suddenly jumped up, kicking off a tree trunk. His body flew towards the other side before he kicked off another tree and soared back again. By repeatedly using the rebound force of the trees and his kicking momentum, he climbed higher and higher until he reached about eight meters before stopping. He tightly hugged a tree and smiled down at Yang Lin below. "I really want to see if your Karate can help you scale walls."
Under the tree, Yang Lin felt quite embarrassed. Karate didn't have the same skill as Chen Haoxuan, who could easily kick off the ground and fly up into the tree. Yang Lin could climb trees too, but he didn't dare to because he knew how slow he was at it. If he really tried to climb, he believed that even without a competition, Chen Haoxuan would still win, simply because he might laugh so hard that he would fall from the tree.
Liu Junfeng and Ma Yichen were egging him on, saying, "Yang Lin, go for it! What are you just standing there for?"
Ignoring Liu Junfeng and the others, Yang Lin pointed at Chen Haoxuan and angrily said, "Xuan, if you're a man, come down and compete with me. Stop hiding!"
Chen Haoxuan smiled and replied, "Alright!" He relaxed his body and immediately dropped down quickly, kicking towards Yang Lin in a flying kick.
Jumping from a height of eight meters, combined with his weight, that kick had to weigh several hundred pounds. Yang Lin didn't dare to take it; instead, he performed a backflip away from where he had been standing.
Ma Yichen and Liu Junfeng stood up in surprise as they watched Chen Haoxuan leap from the tree and drop down from such a height. They couldn't help but feel like they were dreaming; these kinds of moves usually only appeared on television. Yet here they were witnessing it in reality, performed by someone they knew well. How could they not be shocked?
As soon as Chen Haoxuan landed, he rolled forward while simultaneously kicking towards Yang Lin. Yang Lin quickly raised his hands to protect his chest. With a loud thud, he was sent flying backward and landed two meters away. It wasn't that Chen Haoxuan was particularly strong; rather, he understood how to generate force. Having just jumped down from eight meters high, the impact was significant. As soon as he landed, he rolled forward to dissipate some of that force, but the remaining impact was still considerable. Thus, Chen Haoxuan's kick sent Yang Lin flying.
Lying on the ground, Yang Lin rubbed his hands together and cursed under his breath, "Damn it, that hurts." His hands felt numb from Chen Haoxuan's kick and were extremely sore. He now understood Chen Haoxuan's skills; he estimated that even ten of him wouldn't be able to match Chen Haoxuan. If Chen Haoxuan had a weapon, even a hundred of him wouldn't stand a chance.
Chen Haoxuan beckoned Yang Lin with his finger while boasting, "Get up! I haven't seen your Karate yet! How can you just lie there?"
It was humiliation—blatant humiliation. Yang Lin got up and shouted angrily at Chen Haoxuan, "Xuan, today if I don't take you down, I'll call you my master."
"You said it!" Chen Haoxuan laughed, unaware that he had fallen into Yang Lin's trap. Yang Lin's current goal was to learn Chen Haoxuan's fighting techniques.
Afterward, it seemed like Chen Haoxuan was letting Yang Lin have his way; he rarely fought back and skillfully dodged around Yang Lin. Yang Lin found himself spinning in circles as he often lost sight of his target.
After twenty minutes, Yang Lin could no longer hold back and shouted angrily, "Chen Haoxuan, where are you hiding? All you do is hide."
As soon as Yang Lin finished speaking, Chen Haoxuan suddenly appeared in front of him and struck Yang Lin's face with a heavy elbow. After taking the hit, Yang Lin swayed, clearly feeling dazed and disoriented. Chen Haoxuan moved closer, driving his knee into Yang Lin's left ribcage with such force that Yang Lin couldn't help but spit out some water. Fortunately, Chen Haoxuan had shown some restraint; if he had gone all out, what Yang Lin would have spat out would not have been water but blood.
