"Transplanting? Isn't that supposed to be in mid-April?" Chen Haoxuan asked curiously.
"It was supposed to be mid-April, but the weather is bad today, so we postponed it," Li Xin explained.
"I'm really sorry; I didn't know you were busy. I feel bad for dragging Nana along with me. How about this? I'll help you with the transplanting this afternoon," Chen Haoxuan said apologetically.
Li Ping quickly waved his hand and smiled, "No need, no need! You can continue playing with Nana this afternoon! It's not a lot of land; Xiao Feng and I can finish it in a few days."
Farming is the best form of exercise; otherwise, how could every farmer be so strong? In the afternoon, Chen Haoxuan followed Li Xin and the others to transplant. Transplanting rice seedlings doesn't require much skill; as long as you know a few methods, it's fine. Each seedling should be spaced out at a certain distance, and when throwing them, just use a bit of force so that the roots can dig into the soil.
Li Ping and the others used a method of transplanting where they stood in the field to throw each seedling one by one to ensure they were evenly planted and grew well.
It was Chen Haoxuan's first time transplanting. He threw the seedlings like he was playing darts, quickly tossing each one out. Every seedling landed in the field at a very even distance, as if someone had drawn grids for him to place them in.

Chen Haoxuan actually had some family assets; he owned an old house and two acres of land. However, he didn't know about the land, and even if he did, he wouldn't cultivate it because it was on the mountainside. The nearby fields had been abandoned by the villagers, and the only creatures benefiting from his potential crops would be the animals in the mountains.
"You have a loose tongue! What good is that fool? Besides studying—what else can he do? Hmph, a college student, and still just a poor loser," a middle-aged man with a beard cursed loudly. This man was Chen Haoxuan's heartless father, Chen Zhenghao. Although he seemed to be scolding his wife, everyone could tell he was indirectly insulting Chen Haoxuan.

"You ungrateful wretch! Who brought you into this world? Who raised you? After all the effort we put into raising you, now you've turned your back on us. If I had known back when I gave birth to you that this would happen, I would have suffocated you at birth," Li Xin angrily shouted at Chen Haoxuan.
Chen Haorong's wife spoke up to her mother: "Mom, don't get angry anymore. Why bother with such a useless person? You have my husband, Chen Haorong; that's enough."
"That's right! My son is now successful; he has a car, a house, and money—not like some people who only know how to be kept men," Li Xin habitually insulted Chen Haoxuan indirectly.
Chen Yina quietly comforted Chen Haoxuan beside her, saying that no matter how they treated him, they were still his family and that he should endure it if he could. After hearing Chen Yina's words, Chen Haoxuan stopped arguing with Li Xin and her husband.
With Chen Haoxuan not fighting back, Li Xin and the others assumed he was afraid of them. Thus, they became even more outrageous in their insults; it seemed that berating Chen Haoxuan was the happiest thing in their lives.
After a while, a van stopped by the roadside, and a fierce-looking face poked out of the window. It was no surprise; in Chen Family Village, only Chen Haoxuan's brother, Chen Haorong, had such an intimidating appearance. Seeing his family still transplanting, Chen Haorong got out of the car, walked to the edge of the field, and squatted down leisurely to smoke.
He seemed to have inherited Li Xin's trait of particularly enjoying putting others down. Today he drove the van to target Chen Haoxuan. Chen Haorong mocked Chen Haoxuan's poverty, while Li Xin ridiculed his foolishness. Chen Zhenghao criticized him for being an unwanted child, and Chen Haorong's wife, Fang Zhiyu, insulted him as a pretty boy.
