Kunlun Cave, Xuan Xuzi smiled as he saw Li Hong arrive with the Black Abyss Celestial Torch. The two had been in deep discussion for a day and a night, and by the time dawn broke the next day, everything was settled.
One by one, Little Yellow Paper Birds flew out of Kunlun, flapping their wings rapidly towards their destination. These were communication talismans processed with secret techniques; if intercepted midway, they would self-ignite immediately.
On that day, all seven sects—Emei, Kongtong, Zhao Zhen, Bixiao, Penglai, New Luo, and Xuanwei—as well as the newly established Beast Cultivation Sect received the communication talismans. Summons echoed throughout each Mountain Gate. Meanwhile, members of the Nine Li Sect also received a message from Li Hong, and Yun Jiuzi began to gather people to leave the mountain.
A great battle was imminent.
Inside Kunlun, a tense and busy atmosphere prevailed. Elites from various branches and halls were summoned, even the elders in seclusion were called out. The sky was filled with figures rushing towards Jade Lake and Qionghua Palace.
However, Li Hong and Chuxiong remained remarkably relaxed. It was not yet their turn to act; they sat cross-legged in opposite corners of the Inn lobby, meditating. The Heavenly Torch and Black Abyss also appeared at ease, lazily sprawled on the White Jade Floor, munching on high-quality spiritual fruits provided by Kunlun and sipping fine wine, occasionally glancing at Li Hong or Chuxiong with concern.
Suddenly, Li Hong opened his eyes and asked, “Second brother, I remember you obtained a Void Bottle in addition to that Heavenly Axe. Have you practiced with it?”
Chuxiong chuckled, “I’ve already mastered it. That thing is actually a strange treasure for storing people or objects; anything put inside will vanish completely in no time at all. It’s quite vicious. That’s why I haven’t had a chance to use it until now.”
Li Hong solemnly advised, “When facing those from the Demon Sect, do not hold back, especially against the Azure Guardian. If you get the chance, use the Void Bottle! Do not be merciful. In this battle, the smaller the impact on Middle-Earth's common folk, the better; otherwise, they might face great calamity.”
“I understand. You can rest easy, big brother.” When alone, they still preferred to address each other as brothers; it was a habit they had long since formed.
Li Hong continued, “I just remembered I have two treasures that I haven’t formally refined yet. I’ll be right back.” He stood up and headed down to the basement.
The basement of the Inn was designated for guests to cultivate. It was equipped with spatial overlapping formations; although the Inn only occupied a small area above ground, below it stretched an expanse of nearly a hundred acres.
Since Kunlun belonged to the Western Gold element and focused on cultivating Gold Spiritual Energy, this place was rich in dense Gold Spiritual Energy. While it wasn’t particularly beneficial for Li Hong’s cultivation, it was more than sufficient for refining treasures.
Li Hong summoned the Yin Yang Platform and the Heartless Shuttle, beginning the formal refinement of these two pieces of Extreme Treasure.
The Yin Yang Platform and Heartless Shuttle each have their own Artifact Spirits, but they resemble the avatar of the leader, Divine Slaying Monument, and originally did not require additional refinement. However, Li Hong thought that with the upcoming great battle, even a small flaw in the Yin Yang Platform or Heartless Shuttle could lead to significant trouble, so he decided to formally refine them.
The two Celestial Artifacts immediately flew out and quietly hovered in front of Li Hong.
Li Hong quickly sensed the Artifact Spirits, which conveyed a warm feeling of goodwill.
In the next moment, Li Hong first extended his Divine Consciousness into the Yin Yang Platform, and immediately a flood of information surged in, all about the mysteries of the Yin Yang Platform.
Li Hong carefully experienced it from beginning to end but was slightly taken aback.
Unexpectedly, the Yin Yang Platform turned out to be a Spatial Treasure.
Its shape resembled a box but was divided into two parts, with two opposing triangles connecting the halves into a whole. The entire object was dark and gave an incredibly solid impression; indeed, it was extremely sturdy.
The two halves of the "box" represented positive and negative spaces. As long as a person or object was placed in the positive space, if the owner wished, it would be transported to the negative space. Without the owner's command, it was impossible to exit from either the positive space or Anti-Space under any circumstances.
Li Hong found it strange why such a method of transportation was necessary.
He oriented the positive side towards himself and focused his thoughts. In an instant, he found himself in an unusual space. It felt as if he were in the center of chaos, with no sky above or ground below; everything was shrouded in gray. Even as the owner, Li Hong felt a sense of weakness and helplessness. This feeling was unpleasant, so he quickly commanded to transport himself. He then felt his body swiftly pass through a passage and suddenly the scenery before him changed dramatically.
Above him was a blue sky with white clouds; he found himself in an incredibly beautiful Gorge surrounded by mountains, filled with Jade Flower exotic plants. In the center of the Gorge lay a small lake that sparkled like a mirror, occasionally rising with enchanting mist that shimmered with iridescence. Beside the lake stood a white jade platform on which rested a magnificent Jade Palace open on all sides; blue silk fluttered under the eaves, harmonizing beautifully with the mountains and blue sky.
Li Hong flew towards the main hall, growing more astonished as he realized this space was filled with rich Five Elements Spiritual Energy! It was precisely the ideal cultivation location he had been seeking throughout Middle-Earth but had been unable to find!
When he reached the lakeside, Li Hong was even more stunned to discover that the lake contained large chunks of Complete Elements Supreme Celestial Stone—some as big as grinding wheels and others about the size of teacups—making this lake rich in Water Spirit Energy. The rising Five Elements Spiritual Energy almost condensed into tangible mist; no wonder he had seen those shimmering mists from afar.
Staring at the lake, Li Hong was mesmerized.
After a long time, he reluctantly flew down to the grass. At that moment, Li Hong's eyes nearly popped out; right beneath his eyelids were celestial herbs! Wherever he looked, it was not grass but rather a field composed of exquisite spiritual herbs over ten thousand years old, a true treasure trove of elixirs! Just pulling one out would be worth more than those top-tier celestial herbs fiercely guarded by spirit beasts in the Ancient Celestial Field! Yet here, they formed what appeared to be "grass."
Li Hong couldn't help but smile wryly. What kind of place was this? Could it be an illusion?
He dared not land, fearing he might accidentally trample on a herb that had existed for over ten thousand years. Li Hong flew straight into the grand hall. It was only upon arrival that he realized this seemingly magnificent hall was actually a dump, devoid of any treasures. The vast Jade Palace was empty except for an incredibly ornate Jade High Couch in the center. On that couch lay a Golden Silk Mat and a White Jade Pillow, exquisite and pristine, as if someone had recently rested there.
This seemed to be a resting place; of course, it could also serve as a cultivation area since it was adjacent to the Spirit Lake, which would likely enhance the effects of training.
Looking at the couch, the golden mat, and the white jade pillow, Li Hong began to feel a strange sensation. Even though he knew he was the master here, he couldn't shake off the feeling that he had intruded into someone else's home.
"There are no outsiders here, only you, the master," an abrupt voice echoed in his mind. Startled, Li Hong jumped up and realized it was the Artifact Spirit. He couldn't help but smile wryly again; this place was truly astonishing, and he still felt as if he were dreaming.
Li Hong decided to explore how large this place was. At that moment, the Artifact Spirit sensed his thoughts and said, "The master can teleport freely with your mind; you can go wherever you wish."
Li Hong immediately understood. He gazed at the mountains outside the Gorge, and in the next moment, he found himself on one of the summits. Turning around to look outside, he discovered that there was nothing there! From atop the mountain, he saw an oddly vanishing horizon; in the distance lay a band of gray swirling matter that resembled chaos in real space.
Afterward, Li Hong teleported to various peaks, and it was always the same: looking inward revealed the beautiful Gorge along with the Spirit Lake and Jade Palace, but turning around always showed him nothingness.
It seemed that this Anti-Space only encompassed the Gorge's vast area. The surrounding mountains were merely an illusion; no wonder they appeared low and had gentle slopes.
Thinking about how this place now belonged to him made Li Hong hardly believe his good fortune. However, at the same time, a peculiar feeling surged within him; this place seemed... somewhat familiar.
Yet Li Hong knew for certain that he had never been here before.
Now there is no time to manage this, in the blink of an eye, Li Hong has emerged from the Yin Yang Platform, sitting cross-legged on the ground, deep in thought.
It turns out that the function of the Yin Yang Platform is similar to the Eight Formation Flag, but while the Eight Formation Flag has powerful offensive capabilities, activating any of its one thousand and eighty formations is a deadly trap. Here, however, it is purely a place for confinement and rest. If someone is drawn into the positive space, they become completely trapped in that chaos, neither living nor dead; if it continues, they will be transported to Anti-Space. In this Anti-Space, it is truly a place for relaxation and cultivation.
This is quite strange; who would design such a relaxing Celestial Artifact?
Suddenly, a thought emerged in Li Hong's mind as he focused his gaze on the Heartless Shuttle.
The Heartless Shuttle is a peculiar shuttle-shaped treasure, pointed at both ends and rounded in the middle. It is black and made of a material resembling wood, with obvious wood grain on its surface. However, ordinary wood is not nearly this hard; it must be some kind of extraordinary species, radiating a purple glow throughout, indicating its exceptional nature.
As his Divine Consciousness probed in, Li Hong was immediately astonished. Countless three-dimensional rune formations were interconnected endlessly; this object could almost infinitely amplify spiritual power, giving one the impression of being an indestructible rod!
Li Hong could imagine that with one strike from this rod, heavy as a mountain, even Chuxiong's Heavenly Axe would likely be at a disadvantage. Comparing these two Extreme Treasures, it is indeed difficult to determine which is stronger or harder.
Then recalling the two Six Paths of Reincarnation and Bagua Crown in the hands of Yandao Demon Lord, along with the Divine Slaying Monument and the last unknown component somewhere in space, Li Hong's eyes lit up as he began to draw on the ground.
Moments later, an oddly shaped "vehicle" appeared before him.
It turns out that this object, composed of seven components and six sets of Celestial Artifacts combined together, is actually a "car!"
The Heartless Shuttle serves as the axle; the two Six Paths of Reincarnation are the wheels fitted onto either end of the Heartless Shuttle axle; the Yin Yang Platform forms the carriage; atop the Bagua Crown stands the Divine Slaying Monument, seemingly a combined attack weapon placed on the carriage. As for that last unknown Extreme Treasure, it surely also possesses special powers as a formidable Celestial Artifact.
When combined together, it forms an oddly shaped yet powerful divine artifact "chariot"!
"You are not wrong; when our brothers gather together, we are indeed a chariot. Hehe, but back then, it was not horses pulling this cart! It was the Divine Dragon! So you should say it's a Dragon Car."
At that moment, the Divine Tablet Spirit suddenly interjected, speaking with a cheerful tone.
"What is the last item?" Li Hong asked.
"The Star-Moon Radiance, that's the best item!"
"Star-Moon Radiance?" Li Hong replied, surprised.
"Yes, it's the most powerful high-level Celestial Artifact in the Divine Realm. With it, as long as you avoid those annoying forbidden zones, you can pass through almost any region without obstruction. Right now, it's in another space, so it seems you won't be able to get it. However, if you defeat that annoying black mist and seize the Six Paths of Reincarnation and the Bagua Crown, you could already assemble this Dragon Car. It just lacks defensive capabilities. But that's okay; as long as my brothers are tough enough and careful, they won't have to worry about breaking it," the Divine Tablet Spirit said with a grin.
Li Hong smiled wryly.
What kind of person is so bored that the rarest materials in the world and the most powerful forging techniques are combined just to create a carriage?
No matter how powerful it is, it's just a carriage! It would be better to use them separately!
"You are mistaken in thinking that way," the Divine Tablet Spirit replied.
