Ling Jizi nodded silently, "No need to ask. I've already inquired, and it is indeed the Fire Origin Pill that is the problem. Except for Yun Jiuzi, everyone else is still working to expel the poison."
Looking at Li Hong, a hint of killing intent gradually emerged in Ling Jizi's eyes. "Do you have anything else to say? Li Hong smiled bitterly, and the hall fell silent as everyone looked at him with expressions of shock.
"Wait, I think there is indeed insufficient evidence for this matter. If we rely solely on Elder Yao's word to condemn Chu Hongzi, it is far too arbitrary," Ling Daozi finally couldn't help but speak up loudly.
Li Hong looked at Ling Daozi with gratitude in his heart but knew that his single voice would not change anything. It seemed he was mocking him—thinking he could act here or escape was simply a delusion!
Li Hong took a deep breath, striving to calm himself. "What do you want from me?"
Yue Mangzi retorted from above, "Do you confess?"
"I do not!"
"Then don't blame us for taking action. Do you really think you can stand against so many of us?" Yue Mangzi mocked.
"I know I'm not your match, but I still won't plead guilty. Don't think you can impose such a dirty accusation on me! If you want to kill me, then come at me. But to make me admit to something I never did? Absolutely not!"
As he spoke, Li Hong quickly retreated. Once he was out of the main hall, things would be much easier. With his familiarity with Nine Li Cave Heaven, he believed he had a good chance of escaping.
Although the thought of "escaping" brought a pang of pain to his heart, it was the best option available.
Just as he reached the entrance of the hall, a sudden sense of urgent danger surged within him. Without looking back, Li Hong saw Yue Que unleash an attack that shot towards him. With a clang, a fierce wind rushed at him, shredding his clothes and sending white butterfly-like fragments swirling into the hall.
Along with them flew two extremely thin bolts of lightning. When those two bolts missed their target, they immediately retreated. Their master, Yiyang, caught the two bolts in his hand, his gaze towards Li Hong filled with extreme coldness and hatred.
Yiyang recognized it at once; Li Hong had just used a Celestial Artifact! Xuan Xuzi and Bai Juzi exchanged glances, their eyes flashing with understanding.
Amidst the scattering wind and torn fabric, everyone retreated to protect the entrance. Through their fingers, they saw Li Hong suddenly donning a majestic fire-red armor that made him look like a celestial being. Standing tall against the wind, he declared loudly, "I, Chu Hong, am the Seventeenth Generation Sect Leader of Nine Li Sect! Yet I have been wrongfully accused and slandered as a traitor! Now I officially declare my position as Seventeenth Generation Sect Leader. If you want to take my position, there is only one way: you must kill me first!"
With a fierce glare, Li Hong surveyed everyone around him, his blood boiling with passion.
No one moved. The thirty or so elders exchanged glances, even retreating in unison.
Ling Jizi was furious: "What are you all doing?"
One elder glanced at Li Hong and stepped forward to clasp his hands in respect. "Ling Jizi, Elder Brother, Chu Hongzi is the designated successor of the late Sect Leader Ling Xuzi. He is right; the Vermilion Bird Nine Li Blade has already recognized him as its master. Regardless of whether everyone acknowledges it or not, he is now our leader in Nine Li Sect. If we were to kill our own leader without reason now, we would truly be the traitors! I'm sorry, Ling Jizi, Elder Brother; I cannot support or participate in this."
The elder then bowed to Xuan Xuzi and flew away without looking back.
"Yes! Why should we believe that our sect leader is a traitor just because Elder Yao said so? If we kill him, we would be the real traitors. Why should we get involved in this mess? Someone shook their head in regret and followed suit, disappearing out of the hall.
In the blink of an eye, over thirty elders had left. After a moment, Chulin suddenly stood up and walked out without saying a word.
Ling Jizi shouted, "Chulin, why are you leaving too?"
Chulin stopped, fearfully looking at the grim-faced Ling Jizi, her body trembling. Yet she mustered her courage and said, "Chu Hongzi has killed so many Demon Sect Monsters since becoming an elder after forming his Golden Core. This time he even led the Immortal Sect reinforcements here. How could such a person be a traitor? He is a hero! Besides, Junior Sister is still watching from the Immortal Realm. I trust her judgment; she would never choose a traitor as her husband."
Li Hong felt a surge of emotion, tears welling up in his eyes.
Elder Yao stepped forward and coldly said, "Chulin Junior, are you implying that I am lying?"
Chulin was taken aback and quickly clarified, "I didn’t say that Elder Yao is lying. I just mean that Chu Hongzi is not a traitor. There must be some misunderstanding here. We cannot hastily condemn Chu Hongzi to death like this; how can we face Junior Sister? How can we face..."
Just then, Chulin felt someone grab her arm, and her body involuntarily lifted into the air. A voice whispered in her ear, "Thank you for your trust, Chulin Junior. Please help me this once."
Li Hong pulled Chulin and swiftly flew out of the hall into the sky. Behind them, Ling Jizi and Yue Mangzi exchanged glances and immediately shouted, "Not good! He wants to take Chulin Junior hostage! How could Chulin keep defending him? What a despicable person!"
Chulin was stunned and turned to Li Hong, asking, "Are they saying you are kidnapping me?"
Li Hong chuckled softly, "I knew they would think that, which is why I asked for your help earlier."
Just as Chulin was about to say something, her eyes suddenly lit up. A sly smile, quite uncharacteristic of her dignified demeanor, appeared on Lirong's face. "Chu Hongzi, you actually don't need my help because the person who will help you has already arrived!"
"Big brother, we're here!" A loud and arrogant shout came from a distance, accompanied by the thunderous roar of Black Abyss.
A wave of Black Light rapidly expanded, and in the blink of an eye, a massive and imposing figure appeared before everyone, blocking the pursuit of Xuan Xuzi and Ling Jizi.
Black Abyss swiftly turned in mid-air, raising its enormous Dragon Tail Whip and aiming it at Xuan Xuzi and the others, making a very clear warning gesture while quickly twisting its upper body. Scales the size of water tanks swept past, and soon its large head was facing Li Hong.
Li Hong was met with Chuxiong's sincere smile. Chuxiong stepped on the dragon's head and reached out both hands toward Li Hong. "Big brother, they don't acknowledge you as the leader and even want to kill you. But in my heart, you have long been our leader, my Chuxiong's eternal big brother. Let's go now; the world is vast, and there will be a place for us."

The two pairs of large hands tightly clasped together.
Chulin watched this scene with tears of emotion in her eyes; indeed, her junior sister had never misjudged anyone! However, she turned to look at Xuan Xuzi and the others near the Dragon Tail Whip and quietly said, "Continue to hold me hostage; as long as we enter the Li Fire Formation, we will be safe. We must hurry!"

Li Hong lifted Chulin onto Black Abyss. Before they could steady themselves, a golden-white light shot towards them. It was Little Fei. Behind it, on Black Abyss's dragon body, were the curled-up Big Silver Ball, Small Silver Ball, and Soul Devourer.
Little Fei complained, "Master, you're always running around and making us worry. Just now, the big guy said we need to leave here; you can't leave us behind again!"
Li Hong patted Little Fei's soft head. "Alright, let's go!"
Black Abyss quickly turned around and flew rapidly towards the entrance of Li Fire Formation.
Behind, Ling Jizi and the others frowned. Yue Mangzi shouted, "Hurry! Go notify the people at Array Hall, we must not let them escape!"
Ling Xiaozi actually chuckled and glanced at Yue Mangzi, saying, "Master Uncle, are you an idiot? Chu Hongzi is so close with Yun Jiuzi that they might as well be wearing the same pair of pants. How can you expect Yun Jiuzi to not let him leave?"
Ling Jizi furrowed his brows and called out, "I need to warn Yun Jiuzi before they get in. You all find a way to hold him back for a moment!"
Xuan Xuzi nodded and said solemnly, "Leave this to me. I've heard that Chu Hongzi is a standout among the new generation of Immortal Sect disciples, but I have never tested his skills. Today will be a good opportunity."
Upon hearing that Xuan Xuzi was willing to take action personally, Ling Jizi was overjoyed. He bowed deeply to Xuan Xuzi and quickly turned to fly away.
Meanwhile, Xuan Xuzi silently formed a hand sign within his sleeves. A beam of white light shot out from his sleeve, growing larger until suddenly a massive white tiger with wings appeared in front of Black Abyss.
The tiger was as large as a small mountain, its enormous white wings blocking out the sun. Its blood-red eyes emitted an eerie red glow that extended several feet, fixating on Black Abyss. With a powerful flap of its wings, it suddenly faced Black Abyss, raised its head high, and unleashed a dazzling fireball from its gaping maw straight towards Black Abyss's face.
Furious, Black Abyss let out a thunderous roar and opened its mouth wide. A loud splashing sound echoed as an enormous column of Black Water erupted from its seemingly bottomless maw, directly meeting the fireball head-on.
