In the void, Li Hong sat quietly with his eyes closed, his body slowly rotating. The flames surrounding him had vanished.
Stretching lazily, a satisfied smile appeared on his face as Li Hong stepped into the void, walking down as if strolling leisurely in a garden. He moved very slowly, as if there were invisible steps beneath his feet. After a moment, Li Hong had descended to the ground, standing before the Azure Jade Gate.
The door opened readily, and Li Hong did not rush to exit. He looked down at his bare body and smiled, saying, "I can't meet Chu Xi like this."
With a flash of red light, a layer of crimson armor materialized around him.
This armor resembled the Song Army's armor, composed of intricate overlapping plates. The knee-length skirt reached his knees, perfectly covering the crucial areas.
Li Hong pondered for a moment and muttered to himself, "A helmet would make it look more imposing."
With a thought, a helmet appeared on his head, complete with a fiery red plume standing upright on top.
Looking up and down at himself, Li Hong was satisfied: "Let's call it Void Flame Armor."
This was a result of Li Hong's own understanding of Divination Technique. The Void Flame Armor was entirely composed of pure energy, capable of concealing his physical form and transforming into any desired shape at will. It was truly an immortal armor. Li Hong was confident it could withstand a strike from a Celestial Artifact. Furthermore, its defensive capabilities could increase as his cultivation improved; this thought filled Li Hong with pride.
Having completely transmuted one-tenth of Fire Saint's cultivation and achieved mastery over Ten Infants, he not only stabilized the fifth chapter of Six Spirit Salty Ritual but also made some improvements. Now, the Ten Infants were slowly rotating in a circle at the center of the Upper Dantian space, surrounded by numerous magical treasures.
Without needing to look inward, Li Hong knew that each Nascent Soul bore the same Void Flame Armor as he did now.
His body had become a pure energy entity, and the Ten Infants were pure energy essence combined with Innate Vital Blood and soul. Li Hong had undergone a complete transformation.
Now, Li Hong moved with greater confidence, like an unparalleled artifact fully sheathed in its scabbard—its brilliance only visible when drawn.
White Shadow floated over and, after a glance at Li Hong, knelt in the void with immense excitement and admiration: "I pay my respects to Fire Saint!"
A spark flashed in Li Hong's eyes, and he did not refute: "Get up. You are the Spirit of the Hall here?"
"Indeed! I have guarded this place for fifty thousand years, always waiting for this moment. I am overjoyed!" The Spirit of the Hall was so excited that Phantom's chest was slightly heaving.
Li Hong had many questions in his heart but knew he could only slowly extract information from the Spirit of the Hall. If he revealed any flaws, it would not bode well for Chu Xi and Chuxiong, even if he himself was not afraid.
Li Hong calmly asked, "Have they come out yet?"
"No, but it will be soon."
"You lead me around; I haven't been back in many years, and I'm starting to forget." Li Hong deliberately sighed: "Azure Sea, how things have changed!"
"I obey your command! Does Star Sovereign want to see the Center Restriction?"
Star Sovereign? Upon hearing this title, Li Hong felt a stir in his heart but quickly thought of another matter. The Center Restriction of Temple City! As long as he entered there, it would be equivalent to knowing the entire secret of Temple City. This was exactly the place he was looking for!
"Alright, let's go there." Suppressing his inner excitement, Li Hong deliberately slowed his pace and followed the Spirit of the Hall step by step toward the bottom of the Passageway.
The Spirit of the Hall made no movements, and what had originally been an empty bottom of the Passageway revealed a door—the Azure Jade Gate.
Upon entering, Li Hong was momentarily taken aback.
The Spirit of the Hall immediately sensed this and asked, "Star Sovereign, what is wrong?"
"Nothing much, I just recalled some things from a long time ago," Li Hong concealed.
The Spirit of the Hall sighed, "The Star Sovereign can only recall one-tenth of his previous cultivation now, so many things are temporarily forgotten. However, I can guarantee that as time goes on, the Star Sovereign will remember more and more."
Li Hong smiled bitterly inside; the true one-tenth of the Fire Saint had already been eliminated by him, so how could he remember more? Of course, he couldn't say that out loud. He maintained the imposing demeanor of the Fire Saint Star Sovereign and nodded slightly.
This was a vast space with only one object, or rather, a set of objects: six identical, shimmering golden rectangular mirrors.
Each mirror stood tall and wide, ten zhang across, with an unknown height. The edges were pressed together to form a circle, resembling lotus petals. There was a gap on the front side, exactly the size of one mirror. This gap served as the entrance.
The Spirit of the Hall naturally walked into the gap, and Li Hong followed closely behind, standing in the center of the circle formed by the mirrors. He noticed something peculiar: despite the flawless surface of the mirrors, they did not reflect his image.
He pondered deeply; this mirror...
He then heard the Spirit of the Hall ask, "Star Sovereign, where would you like to see?"
Li Hong already had an idea in mind and casually replied, "Let's take a look at the scenery outside."
"At your command!"
The large mirror facing him flickered with light as its surface gradually brightened. An image began to appear, becoming clearer and clearer as blue skies, oceans, and beaches swiftly passed by until finally revealing the entire Temple City.
The perspective was from above, clearly showing each layer of circular buildings radiating outward. Among them, a white point stood tall against the clouds; that was the White Tower as seen from below.
Li Hong's heart stirred; he understood completely. This place was similar to the Ancient Celestial Field; through the mirrors, he could see moving images of places he wished to view, as if he were there in person.
As he descended from the White Tower, layer by layer, he calculated that he should now be at the very bottom of the Temple City. This indicated that the entire Temple City was floating on the Sea Surface, possibly able to drift according to the will of the Spirit of the Hall. This meant that the whole Temple City was under the control of the Spirit of the Hall; one bronze mirror was already sufficient, so why were six needed here?
Li Hong had an idea in mind and decided to take a gamble, casually saying, "Let's check somewhere else; I wonder how other places are doing."
"Understood."
The remaining five bronze mirrors all lit up, each displaying different scenes.
Li Hong was overjoyed; he guessed correctly! This Temple City was indeed the temple among temples. All the temple ruins in Middle-Earth were connected to this place, and one could even see other temples from here.
One bronze mirror showed the "Gatekeeper" Stone Fortress in the desert they had passed through earlier. It was this Stone Fortress that Heavenly Danzi had longed for and had gone through great efforts to find, only to return with just the Lunar Eclipse of the Universe due to some unknown reasons, missing out on the secrets and truths of the Ancient God. For the rest of his life, he could only lament over that incomplete Ancient Marvelous Skills.
Li Hong then focused on another bronze mirror. This one displayed a temple that had completely collapsed and lay in ruins at the bottom of the Great Lake, vast remnants spectacularly buried underwater.
Another mirror showed a strange palace that Li Hong was sure he had never entered.
The next one was similar.
When his gaze fell on the last mirror, Li Hong was taken aback. The Ancient Celestial Field! The Celestial Mansion Map within the Ancient Celestial Field.
Li Hong stared intently at the image, and the Spirit of the Hall immediately sensed it and kindly asked, "Does Star Sovereign want to see more of that place?"
The image began to shift perspective, revealing vast deserts, black mist within the desert, familiar walls, towering majestic palaces, rows of Azure Jade Forbidden Stone Beasts at the entrance, and finally even glimpsing the temple's back garden along with that familiar Jade Cottage in the center. Li Hong was completely certain that this was indeed the Ancient Celestial Field temple he had missed out on!
His shock was evident despite his efforts to control it.
"What's wrong with the Star Sovereign? Is it because of some recent changes there?" the Spirit of the Hall asked in surprise.
Changes?!
Li Hong could no longer hold back and directly asked, "What changes?"
"Actually, it's nothing much. Someone has been going in there. A Middle-Earth Cultivator discovered the method to enter and exit the Starfield Center Restriction, and now there are people fiddling around there all day."
Li Hong's heart surged with waves of shock; someone could enter and exit the Ancient Celestial Field's Center Restriction just like he could!
"Who is it?"
"It's a woman. For a while, she even brought a man inside."
"I want to see what happened at that time." Li Hong raised the request, unsure if the Spirit of the Hall could fulfill it, but it was crucial.
"I am guilty!" The Spirit of the Hall immediately knelt in mid-air. "The Starfield has been abandoned for years, and people have been coming and going inside for a long time. They cannot enter the Transmission Hall, so I never took it seriously. Ever since that man and woman were able to enter the Center Restriction, I have disliked their presence inside; whenever I see them go in, I avoid looking there. I have failed in my duties! Now I can only see what is happening here; I cannot let the Star Sovereign see what happened in the past. I am guilty; please punish me, Star Sovereign!"
The Spirit of the Hall's words were not very clear, but Li Hong understood part of it. After reflecting on the situation, he suddenly realized.
He had suspected that there were traitors within Heavenly Grain's upper echelons colluding with the Demon Sect to harm the newcomers from Immortal Sect during the grand competition. This matter had been ongoing for sixteen years, and Heavenly Grain had always claimed they couldn't find anything. Moreover, their actions had become increasingly erratic; not only did they stop supplying Elixirs to Immortal Sect, but they also announced their separation from Immortal Sect to establish some Pharmaceutical Sect. Behind all this was that traitor causing trouble.
A woman! A flash of red light appeared in Li Hong's eyes as he recalled Qingqinzi's cold face from Heavenly Grain and Southern Valley Master.
After asking about the woman's appearance in detail, Li Hong concluded that it was indeed Qingqinzi! As for that man, there was definitely no such figure within Immortal Sect.
The truth is about to be revealed; that man must be the Demon Sect Monster!
What a good Qingqinzi, committing adultery with the Demon Sect Monster, having cultivated power and trained assassins many years ago, collaborating with the Demon Sect Monster to stir up turmoil in the Immortal Sect. Truly ruthless.
Thinking of the Transmission Hall mentioned by the Spirit of the Hall, Li Hong couldn't hold back his curiosity and directly asked, "Are those five temples all Transmission Halls, and do they ultimately lead here?"
"Yes. But it doesn't necessarily transmit directly here. For example, the Transmission Hall in the Starfield leads to the Wandering Path of the Stars."
Li Hong thought for a moment and then asked, "This place is within the Restrictions of Restrictions; from here, can we directly control all Transmission Halls' Restrictions, is that right?"
"Yes."
"Great! You need to change it for me now. No matter what method you use, I want to change the entrance to the Ancient Celestial Field, um, the Starfield you mentioned, to... anywhere you like, as long as it prevents those people from entering, especially that woman!"
"Understood!"
