The sky of Watson District is covered with black smoke, and the entire area is filled with the smell of charred flesh and death. The name of Adam Smasher once again shocks the entire Night City, his violence and cruelty showcasing the astonishing power that can be unleashed when man and machine merge. Standing indifferently on the destroyed ground of the commercial district, Adam looks around at the scene of devastation, his face devoid of any expression.
Before long, helicopters from various media outlets arrive and hover overhead, their cameras trained on the destroyed commercial district and Adam standing within it. The helicopter's lens captures Adam's cold and ruthless demeanor, as well as the scene of destruction behind him. In the footage, smoke billows, flames still flicker, and the entire street looks like it has experienced a catastrophic apocalypse.
The connecting reporter held the microphone with trembling hands and a quivering voice, revealing fear: "This... this is the terrifying scene that just happened in Watson District. According to on-site reports, the culprit behind all of this is the legendary mercenary who was long thought to be dead— Adam Smasher. The scene switched back to the newsroom, where the host's face also displayed shock and bewilderment. Adam's terrifying image and the destruction he brought are spreading at lightning speed across the entire Night City and even the world's news networks. Everyone is discussing this legendary mercenary who has returned from the dead, and fearing the greater disasters he may bring in the future. In every corner of Night City, people cannot ignore the presence of the mad mechanical warrior; his existence has become an inescapable symbol of terror.
Adam's irritability was evident in his cold eyes, and he felt disgusted by the media's unreasonable demands. He believed that these reporters were only using him to gain more viewership and attention, and their reports would only lead more people into panic and ignorance, rather than thinking about the real issues.
He suddenly turned and locked his gaze on a helicopter hovering above. His stare was piercing, as if he could see through the people in the helicopter. A missile launcher popped out on his shoulder, and a red indicator light flashed on his glasses display screen, targeting locked.
The journalists and photographers on the helicopter were reporting nervously, completely unaware that the shadow of death was quietly approaching. When they noticed the sound of the missile launch, it was already too late. A flame shot out from Adam's shoulder, and the missile quickly flew towards the helicopter, instantly hitting the fuselage.
A huge explosion reverberated in the air, and the fire instantly engulfed the helicopter, turning it into a fireball. The personnel on board had no time to react, and the helicopter disintegrated in the air, with debris and flames falling from the sky and crashing onto a distant ruin, causing another series of explosions.
At this moment, there was still a helicopter dodging missile attacks, and the rapidly flying missiles became the most dazzling focus in the sky. The speed of the missile far exceeded that of the helicopter, and even the pilot's desperate maneuvers could not shake off the missile's tracking. The pilot, on the other hand, was a sight too gruesome to bear, having already perished in the flames and impact.
Adam walked up to them mercilessly, his eyes filled with indifference and a destructive desire. He saw the live broadcaster still operating on the ground, reflecting his cold, mechanical face on the screen. He bent down to pick up the broadcaster, aimed it at himself, and stared directly into the camera with his cold, mechanical eyes.
"Residents of Night City, look closely. I am Adam Smasher," his voice transmitted through the broadcaster, spreading across the entire Night City, every word filled with indifference and intimidation. "I have returned from death to make all of you feel the anger and fury in my heart. The corruption and chaos of Night City will be settled."
As his words fell, he turned to the half-dead journalist and, with his mechanical giant hand, grabbed the journalist's collar tightly, lifting him up forcefully. Amid the journalist's panicked and desperate screams, Adam mercilessly smashed his head against the broadcaster, shattering both the broadcaster and the journalist's head at the same moment. The screen suddenly became blurry and eventually turned into a static silence.
