Under the neon lights of Night City, Adam Smasher looked up and let out a long howl, a puff of hot air escaping his mouth and mingling with the cold night air. A large bullet casing slowly emerged from his wrist, white smoke from the high temperature swirling around his mechanical arm as the wrist slowly returned to its original shape. In the heart of Adam Smasher, though it was a mechanical indifference, amidst the carnage, he felt an unprecedented excitement.
In his eyes, the shadow of the next target began to emerge. In the dark corners of Night City, there existed a group of criminals known as Janitor. They trafficked in human organs, kidnapped people, and even produced illegal holographic dance videos. Their actions were extremely heinous, representing the dirtiest and darkest aspects of Night City. Adam Smasher decided that they would be his next target for elimination.
Adam Smasher randomly stole a police car parked on the side of the road, squeezing his massive body into the driver's seat, feeling quite cramped. He started the car, turned the steering wheel, and the police car immediately headed towards Janitor's hideout. On the way, he casually turned on the car's radio, and suddenly, the latest news from Arasaka Corporation came into his ears.
On the broadcast, Arasaka Hanako's voice came through clearly, officially announcing her control of Arasaka Corporation and unveiling a series of new measures for the company, claiming to bring Arasaka back to its peak. She did not shy away from recent challenges faced by Arasaka, starting with the death of Arasaka Saburo, followed by last month's invasion of Arasaka Building by mercenaries, resulting in significant damage and destruction of important data, as well as the death of Arasaka Yorinobu. The police car driven by Adam Smasher raced through the streets of Night City, while not far above, a " MaxTac " flying car followed slowly. The low, continuous wail of the sirens was a constant irritant to Adam's nerves. He saw the hatch of the flying car slowly open, and five well-equipped members of the MaxTac stood inside, one sniper already aiming at his car, while another netrunner was rapidly trying to hack into Adam's cyberdeck.
But Adam was prepared early, he casually activated the brain-machine's protection system and counterattacked. Suddenly, flying car felt a strong headache, his operation was interrupted, the device in his hand short-circuited instantly, and even his brain-machine was burned by Adam's counterattack. He held his head in pain, quickly lost consciousness, and fell to the floor of the flying car, smoke coming out of his ears and nose, indicating that he had died.
Adam Smasher smirked cunningly, his reaction was very quick. He held the steering wheel with one hand, and the other hand's wrist transformed again, turning into a rapidly firing machine gun. He aimed the machine gun at the flying car and fired without hesitation. The bullets from the machine gun were like a dense downpour, instantly riddling the flying car's cabin with holes.
The sniper on the flying car and the other team members quickly sought cover, but Adam's firepower was too intense, leaving them little opportunity to counterattack. They could only watch helplessly as the flying car was destroyed by Adam's firepower, until finally, the flying car exploded in mid-air, turning into a fireball and then crashing heavily to the ground, causing a massive explosion.
At the moment of the flying car's explosion, the remaining four members of the MaxTac decisively jumped out of the cabin and landed gracefully on the ground. Their training was very rigorous, and even in such life-and-death situations, they were able to remain calm and decisive.
The sniper had already adjusted the angle of the muzzle at the moment of the jump. His target was very clear, it was the tire of the police car driven by Adam.
