Dragon Slayer drove his black sports car to the top of Dragon Head Mountain with Mo Ming.
Dragon Head Mountain was tall, giving a feeling of towering into the clouds. Looking down, the people and cars below resembled ants.
It was nighttime, and the city of Dragon City below was adorned with colorful lights. The bustling crowds and vehicles created a lively night scene.
"This is the highest mountain in Dragon City. I often come here alone to overlook the entire city. It makes me feel good, a sense of unrestricted comfort," Dragon Slayer said, spreading his arms and standing at the railing with his eyes closed, seemingly enjoying something.
It was a feeling of being above all, looking down from the mountain always made one feel that all beings were insignificant while he alone was great.
Successful people often like to stand high above everything. Some arrogant individuals prefer to look down on others entirely.
"I can understand why you like standing here, but I don't share your feelings. You and I are not from the same world," Mo Ming replied. He could understand Dragon Slayer's feelings, but standing there brought him a sense of loneliness, devoid of any domineering aura.
No matter how high one stands, if alone, turning back suddenly only reveals boundless loss.
"Why? We were both soldiers once, survivors who crawled out from piles of corpses. How can we not be from the same world?" Dragon Slayer lowered his arms, opened his eyes, and looked puzzled.
"Although we had a common point in the past—being soldiers!—that doesn't mean we belong to the same world. You enjoy taking in the beauty of the peak alone, while I prefer to share all the beauty with those around me, not just one person but a group," Mo Ming replied lightly with a smile.
"A group sharing beauty? Ha, that's a beautiful wish! I once had such a wish: brothers shoulder to shoulder, sharing honor and disgrace, advancing and retreating together. But what did I get?" Dragon Slayer appeared somewhat agitated as he pounded his chest heavily. "I got betrayal! My comrades who once shared hardships abandoned me; Luo Long abandoned me too!"
Mo Ming remained silent. At that moment, he saw not a ruthless Dragon Slayer, but a man filled with hardships.
From Dragon Slayer's expression and words, it was clear he had endured an unmentionable past that had become his emotional knot, shaping who he was today.
"You should know what it feels like to be betrayed by someone you trusted. Ha, since that time, I've clearly understood that in this world, the only one who will never betray you is yourself," Dragon Slayer said with a cold smile. However, there was nothing terrifying about it; on the contrary, Mo Ming felt pity for him.
"I can understand the feeling of being betrayed by someone you trust. Although I don't know what you've been through, I can tell that it has changed you," Mo Ming said seriously, putting away his smile.
"Yes, from the moment I was betrayed, the old Long Wei ceased to exist. Now, there is only the Dragon Slayer!" Dragon Slayer said emphatically.
Long Wei?
The name quickly struck a nerve with Mo Ming, reminding him of some past events.
A soldier who once had a high reputation in the army!
However, after a failed mission, Long Wei became somewhat cold, undisciplined, and erratic in his actions, ultimately being expelled from the military.
"You are Long Wei?" Mo Ming squinted at Dragon Slayer, looking somewhat surprised.
"No, Long Wei is dead. What remains is the ruthless Dragon Slayer!" Dragon Slayer declared firmly.
"Why deceive yourself? Long Wei is the real you, not the Dragon Slayer," Mo Ming shook his head and said. "Although I don't know what happened to you back then that caused such a drastic change, I do know that Long Wei has always existed in your heart and has never changed."
"Hmph, the one deceiving themselves is you. Long Wei is dead, truly dead; he will not exist anymore. Do you understand?" Dragon Slayer said, his emotions getting somewhat out of control.
"Since you're so stubborn about this, I have nothing more to say," Mo Ming shook his head and said. "Did you bring me here just to talk about this?"
"No, I just suddenly remembered some past events," Dragon Slayer took a deep breath and said. "Last time in Nanhua City, I lost to you and couldn't accept it. I want to fight you one-on-one again."
"You are not my opponent," Mo Ming said without hesitation. "I have no interest in someone who has lost themselves."
"Do you look down on me?" Dragon Slayer began to exude a killing intent; it seemed that Mo Ming's words had already angered him.
"Yes, I look down on Dragon Slayer, but I admire Long Wei, a soldier who once fought for his country!" Mo Ming said.
"Long Wei is a loser; you don't need to admire him!" Dragon Slayer gritted his teeth and said, "Fight me! Regardless of the outcome, I will tell you Luo Long's address!"
"I won't fight you," Mo Ming shook his head and replied. "I’ve said before, I have no interest in someone who has lost themselves."
"You don't have a choice. If you don't make a move, then I'll have to kill you!" Dragon Slayer's eyes flashed with killing intent as he stepped forward and threw a punch at Mo Ming.
Mo Ming stood with his hands behind his back, facing Dragon Slayer's attack with an unperturbed demeanor. His attitude was clear: no matter what Dragon Slayer did, he would not retaliate.
Dragon Slayer launched a fierce assault with punches and kicks, but these seemingly ferocious attacks never touched Mo Ming even slightly.
With Mo Ming's current strength, even if Dragon Slayer's attacks were fast, he was confident that he could avoid injury without making a move.
"Bastard! Why aren't you fighting back? Why are you dodging?" Dragon Slayer shouted in fury.
He was not a fool; even if Mo Ming didn't strike back, he clearly understood that Mo Ming had already left him far behind—he couldn't even see Mo Ming's back!
"I told you, I have no interest in you!" Mo Ming replied.
"Hmph, this is an insult to me. As a soldier, my dignity is what I value most, and you are trampling on it!" Dragon Slayer snorted coldly and desperately swung his legs with all his might.
Yet Dragon Slayer still couldn't touch Mo Ming at all. Mo Ming's swaying body was as elusive as the Underworld; such speed was not something Dragon Slayer could keep up with just by exerting himself fully.
"Do you still have dignity? If you have dignity and remember that you were once a soldier, then you shouldn't let yourself fall so low. Of course, I'm not talking about your underworld identity; I'm saying you shouldn't do things that harm the innocent!" Mo Ming said coldly.
Upon hearing this, Dragon Slayer's expression froze for a moment, and then his movements came to a halt. He wore a serious face and said nothing.
Mo Ming saw that he was lost in thought and didn't bother him. He took out a cigarette, lit it, and exhaled smoke while watching Dragon Slayer.
After a long while, Dragon Slayer sighed deeply and said, "Over the years, I have indeed made mistakes. In fact, since returning from Nanhua City, I began to pay attention to you and searched for your information. I saw your selflessness in fighting for your comrades, which deeply moved me. You are a great comrade and a good soldier."
"Don't you have good comrades? I refuse to believe that all your comrades would betray you. Is it really worth falling into despair over a few scoundrels? How ridiculous, Dragon Slayer. The real you is Long Wei!" After taking a puff of his cigarette, Mo Ming threw the butt on the ground and extinguished it.
"You've won," Dragon Slayer said with a bitter smile. "I have completely lost to you, both in strength and spirit. I am not as good as you. Asura, you truly were once the top King of Soldiers."
"Heh, it seems Long Wei has awakened," Mo Ming smiled slightly.
"Asura, I understand the purpose of your visit this time. I can tell you the whereabouts of Luo Long," Dragon Slayer said seriously. "You don't need to doubt my intentions. First, I want to repay your mercy from last time; second, that bastard Luo Long betrayed me, and he deserves to die. So don't blame me for being ruthless!"
"I have no intention of doubting your words. Now tell me, where is Luo Long?" Mo Ming shook his head.
"After he returned to Nanhua City, his movements have been very secretive. He probably fears your revenge. However, I secretly searched for him as well; he is living in the Dragon Rising Community in Crimson District. He thinks he's hiding well, but unfortunately for him, I've found him," Dragon Slayer said with a cold laugh.
"Let's go; take me down! I've let him live too long; it's time for him to go." The thought of Lord Qian's death cast a layer of frost over Mo Ming's face, making him look ominous and frightening.
"Are you going alone?" Dragon Slayer frowned and said. "There are many of Luo Long's people in that community, and he has quite a few experts around him. I advise you to be careful; don't let your desire for revenge cost you your life."
"Heh, if I want to kill someone, even if he's in the den of wolves and tigers, I will ensure his demise. Anyone who harms those around me must pay the price!" Mo Ming's voice was heavy, and a murderous intent spread across his eyes.
"Well, I've warned you. If anything happens to you, don't blame me," a hint of fear arose in Dragon Slayer, but he quickly concealed it.
After dropping off Mo Ming at the bar, Dragon Slayer left. From his demeanor, it seemed he didn't want any further contact with Mo Ming.
However, Mo Ming saw a different side of Dragon Slayer in his eyes. Perhaps from the moment they finished discussing matters at Dragon Head Mountain, Long Wei had awakened from his slumber.
Upon returning to the private room, all the hostesses were gone except for Xiaochun. Now, only Xiaochun and Qi Miao were engaged in a "battle."
Mo Ming took a glance and immediately stepped back. After a while, Qi Miao awkwardly came out.
"Master, why did you come back so quickly?" Qi Miao scratched his head and asked.
"It's already been two hours; how is that quick?" Mo Ming replied irritably. "How many times have you done this?"
Qi Miao didn't respond and awkwardly held up three fingers.
"You can't be a virgin, can you? Why are you trying so hard? We have serious business to attend to tonight; don't let your legs go weak!" Mo Ming said, rolling his eyes.
Qi Miao was indeed still a virgin. He had always believed that unless it was with his first love, he couldn't create love with anyone else. However, tonight, he had succumbed to Xiaochun's advances and had been drained three times!
"Master, don't worry; I'm in great shape and definitely won't have weak legs," Qi Miao said with an awkward smile. "What are we doing tonight?"
"Do I even need to ask? Of course, we're handling business—taking down Luo Long!" Mo Ming said, his body radiating killing intent, his voice deep and powerful.
