"Shizuka Domoto, you are quite impressive, facing death so nonchalantly. But don't expect me to spare you for that. An enemy is often a hidden danger, and I have no intention of leaving someone who wants my life alive. Those who need to be killed will never see tomorrow."
Mo Ming wore a natural smile as he slowly raised the knife in his hand, coldly saying, "For a man like you, I wouldn't mind giving you a quick end. Stand still, and I'll finish you with one strike, ensuring no pain."
"Hmph, falling into your hands tonight means I, Shizuka Domoto, must accept my fate. However, you think I will surrender? That's impossible. A man should fight honorably; you fool!" Shizuka Domoto's eyes flashed with a fierce light as he quickly crouched down to pick up the katana on the ground, preparing for one last desperate fight.
Such unyielding determination is indeed admirable, but even before being injured, he couldn't defeat Mo Ming. Now that he was hurt, even if Shizuka Domoto was not afraid of death, this last stand was akin to striking a rock with an egg; he wouldn't last a single move before meeting his end.
"Interesting. Instead of retreating, you come forward to seek death. Is this stupidity or courage? I truly can't tell," Mo Ming said without mercy as he quickly approached. With a flick of his long knife, he aimed straight for Shizuka Domoto's neck, intending to deliver a fatal blow.
The strike was too fast; the blade's shadow couldn't even be caught in the air.
Shizuka Domoto swung to block but was sent flying by Mo Ming's strike. Now unarmed, Mo Ming swung downwards again with thunderous force, fast enough that Shizuka Domoto couldn't react at all.
"I, Shizuka Domoto, have killed countless people and faced many strong foes. To die at the hands of such a terrifying person today is not in vain..." Shizuka Domoto thought as the blade's light flashed past him. He knew he couldn't dodge or block it; there was no trace of fear in his eyes. He had been prepared for death since the day he became a ninja.
Just as Shizuka Domoto closed his eyes and braced himself for the judgment of death, a loud clang echoed in his ears.
It was the sharp sound of metal striking metal.
Then came a proud voice: "Shizuka Domoto, over two hundred people have been taken out by someone else; you can't even protect your own life. How much of a failure are you? If I had arrived any later, you would truly be dead."
"That was fast!" Mo Ming thought in shock. Just as he was about to finish off Shizuka Domoto, a cold flash of light shot through the air at high speed, forcing Mo Ming to abandon his attempt to kill Shizuka Domoto and instead swing his weapon to block the incoming strike.
Otherwise, Shizuka Domoto would have become a corpse by now.
Mo Ming turned to the sound and saw a man dressed in a denim jacket and jeans stepping out of the darkness. Upon closer inspection, this man had a ruggedly handsome face with short bangs, and no one would be foolish enough to think he was a delicate pretty boy. His physique, while not overly muscular, was solid enough to suggest he was not an ordinary person.
What was most intimidating was that he held a completely black Katana in both hands, exuding an aura of lethal intent, yet his smile was devoid of any ferocity, appearing remarkably natural.
“Yamamoto Kyouka, you finally made it!” Shizuka Domoto felt as if he had been given a second chance at life and hurriedly retreated further away from Mo Ming. Without needing to look closely, he knew the newcomer was Yamamoto Kyouka, and he couldn't help but feel relieved that help had arrived just in time to save his life!
“Dual-wielding? No, triple-wielding... This guy is indeed the infamous Yamamoto Kyouka from back in the day. I never expected him to join the Heavenly Ninja Group. This organization truly surprises me!” Mo Ming felt a hint of threat from the newcomer, causing his nerves to tense up instinctively.
Before him stood Yamamoto Kyouka, who had vanished from the world after assassinating the Prime Minister of a Certain Country. Initially thought to be dead, it was astonishing to see him here alive.
Mo Ming had no direct connection with Yamamoto Kyouka, but as the king of the Special Forces, he was certainly familiar with such dangerous individuals and had seen information and images regarding Yamamoto Kyouka.
Yamamoto Kyouka glanced at Shizuka Domoto and sneered, “Shizuka Domoto, I initially wanted to give you a chance to prove yourself, but unfortunately, you failed miserably. You couldn’t even capture him and instead lost so many brothers. Useless, truly useless!”
Hearing this, Shizuka Domoto’s expression was clearly grim without needing to be seen. However, he chose not to argue; the situation was evident—two hundred men were dead, and he had nearly lost his own life. Putting up a fight would only make him lose face further.
“I thought it was someone else. Yamamoto Kyouka, I can’t believe it’s really you—a supposed dead man. I’m curious how you survived back then,” Mo Ming said with a faint smile. “It’s quite unexpected for someone who should be dead to still be around; you really shouldn’t meddle in these matters anymore.”
“Oh?” Yamamoto Kyouka’s smile widened again. “I didn’t expect you to recognize me so quickly, but your following words have angered me. What do you mean by ‘someone who should be dead’?”
As he spoke, Yamamoto Kyouka’s expression turned fierce, his tone filled with rage: “Bastard! If it weren’t for my orders, I would love to tear you apart!”
“Hah, tearing someone apart isn’t something done just with words. I’ve said it countless times; how do you still not understand? Is Ninjutsu just about talking?” Mo Ming mocked. “But then again, anything can seem weak; however, if one masters the art of nonsense well enough, they could become invincible. After all, you all are used to spreading rumors; everything good must be claimed as your own.”
"Ninjutsu? I'm just a swordsman who uses a blade, not the ninja you think I am. But your words have successfully provoked me, and I will make you pay for your arrogance." Yamamoto Kyouka narrowed her eyes into a dangerous arc and said, "You may be able to deal with Shizuka Domoto, but that doesn't mean you have the right to challenge my temper. Right now, I don't even need to use my true strength against you, understand?"
Mo Ming shook his head with a smile and said, "Are you suggesting that I should take you on with one hand? If that's what you want, I don't mind at all. Yamamoto Kyouka, underestimating your enemy is often fatal."
"I've always underestimated my enemies, yet I'm still alive and well," Yamamoto Kyouka replied dismissively.
Having already experienced Mo Ming's abilities, Shizuka Domoto was afraid of Yamamoto Kyouka's overconfidence and hurriedly reminded her, "Yamamoto Kyouka, no matter how arrogant you are normally, this guy is no joke. Underestimating him could lead to death!"
"How annoying!" Yamamoto Kyouka said impatiently. "I'm not like you useless people who can't even catch anyone with two hundred men and ended up being wiped out. Let's see how you explain this when you go back!"
"You... Hmph, how I explain it is none of your concern. You should focus on catching someone first; otherwise, you won't have anything to report when you return!" Shizuka Domoto gritted his teeth in anger. However, since he was outmatched, he refrained from making excuses that would only embarrass him further.
"Hah, whether or not I can catch someone is none of your business. Just watch quietly from the side," Yamamoto Kyouka said with a murderous glint in her eyes as she turned her gaze to Mo Ming. "You're called Shura, right? Hah, impressive. I thought I wouldn't need to lift a finger, but you've managed to kill over two hundred people. Are you ready?"
"Ready for what?" Mo Ming smirked. "Ready to kill you? Yamamoto Kyouka, your sword skills are renowned, but my Shura's blade is no mere kitchen knife. I'm curious to see whose blade is truly the knife."
Arrogant? Conceited? Stubborn?
Mo Ming was not the kind of brainless fool; he knew exactly what he was capable of. He had never witnessed the full strength of Yamamoto Kyouka's blade, but based on her reputation, it was clear she operated at an extremely high level.
However, Mo Ming was unafraid. Although he wasn't skilled in swordsmanship per se, he was still quite adept with a blade. Even the sword of Shizuka Domoto, who could barely be considered a swordsman, couldn't compare to him, which spoke volumes about Mo Ming's capabilities.
"Heh heh, kid, I've found your mouth truly annoying; every word makes me feel sick. Skill lies in action, not in words." Yamamoto Kyouka raised an eyebrow with a hint of anger in her expression and said, "Let's get started; show me what you've got. I don't want this to end so easily."
"Ha ha..." Mo Ming laughed heartily and then said, "You want to defeat me quickly? I would like to see if your skills are as terrifying as the rumors say!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Mo Ming moved, gripping his Katana tightly. He slashed forward at an incredibly fast speed towards Yamamoto Kyouka, who did not expect Mo Ming's speed and hurriedly dodged backward.
"Hmph, you almost scared me there. Your speed is quite impressive, and your sword techniques are sharp enough. But whether I will use my true abilities depends on whether you are worthy," Yamamoto Kyouka's temper flared immediately. With a cold snort, she charged forward, her dual Katanas seeming almost ethereal, not hindering her movement in the slightest as she moved with extraordinary swiftness.
"You surprised me too; I thought your skills were higher than this. What a disappointment," Mo Ming said with a slight smirk, tightening his grip on the long sword and meeting her head-on. Each strike was delivered with all his strength, flowing seamlessly into one another.
Yamamoto Kyouka's dual swords were agile, and when combined, they were incredibly powerful. Although Mo Ming's sword techniques were fierce enough, it was somewhat difficult to injure Yamamoto Kyouka. After deflecting each of his attacks, she immediately counterattacked.
"Kid, you deserve my full attention. At your age to possess such skills makes you a formidable opponent. I truly want to kill you to eliminate future threats, but unfortunately, I cannot kill you. However, teaching you a small lesson is certainly possible," Yamamoto Kyouka said as she swung her right hand to slash at Mo Ming's forehead with a fierce blade that carried the sound of wind.
"I don't like Little Devils, but your skills are indeed worth my full effort. Your swordsmanship is superior to mine, yet you cannot do anything to me. Yamamoto Kyouka, is this really your true ability?" Mo Ming replied calmly as he gripped his Katana with both hands and swiftly blocked Yamamoto Kyouka's strike. He then lifted his leg in a swift kick aimed directly at her waist.
Yamamoto Kyouka used the back of her sword to block Mo Ming's kick and immediately swung her blade towards his lower body with interest. "You do have some skill; your movements are fluid and your speed is decent. But alas, the sword is a friend; using it so recklessly won't do. Those who do not understand the sword do not deserve to wield it!"
"You’re just a sword fanatic! Why not say that the sword is your companion? I think you should rub it against your little buddy; that would surely feel good!" Mo Ming retorted with a mocking tone.
