"I hope you really won't get involved in the drug business again, or don't blame me for being ruthless," Mo Ming said, his gaze sharp as it pierced Eda. "Eda, about those films you’re making, I may not like them, but I still have to tell you not to force anyone. If I find out, you can imagine what will happen."
"I understand. Following Shura Boss, I know there are some lines that cannot be crossed." Although Eda felt somewhat displeased, he could only comply out of fear of Mo Ming's methods. After all, money is secondary to life.
"Good to hear. I have my principles, and I hope you won't cross my bottom line. As for other matters, do whatever you want; I can't be bothered to manage you," Mo Ming nodded slightly and said, "Next, I can tell you our plan moving forward."
Upon hearing this, Yin Eun-hye and the others immediately became serious, waiting for Mo Ming to reveal the next step. They had always been curious about why Mo Ming had brought so many gangs together.
"Heh, I think you've all heard of the Frank Family?" Mo Ming said with a faint smile. "My next plan is to deal with the Frank Family. Of course, you can rest assured that I'm not reckless or foolish. I'm well aware of the Frank Family's influence in Y Country. Even with your combined strength, confronting them head-on is quite difficult. However, if I didn't have full confidence, I wouldn't be standing here!"
"Uh, the Frank Family is a major force that spans both the underworld and legitimate businesses in Y Country. On the surface, it seems like our six major gangs control this area, but we have to act according to the Frank Family's wishes and dare not defy them," Mario said with a wry smile. "Shura, do you really want to take on the Frank Family? The current leader, Reed, is quite a dangerous person."
"I know the Frank Family is powerful, but I've never feared anyone I'm aiming to deal with. Moreover, I'm not looking to eliminate the Frank Family entirely; they've been entrenched for so long that their deep roots are quite formidable. It would be challenging to uproot them completely."
Mo Ming's eyes flashed with intensity as he continued, "You just need to create chaos and draw the Frank Family's attention to us. At that point, you won't need to do anything else; I just need an opportunity to speak with Reed!"
"Shura, what exactly do you want to discuss with Reed?" Yin Eun-hye asked with a worried expression. "Although I've never met Reed, from his style of doing things, he is definitely an extremely dangerous person. If you proceed like this, we might not even have time to establish ourselves before getting eliminated."
"I know what kind of person Reed is. As long as you stir things up enough for him to notice us, there's no need to worry about his retaliation. By then, the Y Country government’s crackdown on organized crime will likely become even more severe; Reed will find himself constrained. To protect his interests from being damaged, he will have no choice but to seek negotiations."
Mo Ming appeared confident; indeed, he had memorized all available information about Reed and had some understanding of him. He was someone who could temporarily set aside hatred for profit. However, such a person was also a formidable enemy. If it weren't for Murong Lian, he wouldn't want to confront Reed at all.
"Since you've made up your mind Shura, no matter how powerful the Frank Family is, we will follow you through thick and thin," Annan said with a slight smile. "I believe you'll find a way to make our gang even stronger."
"Starting tomorrow, you can send people to stir up trouble at the Frank Family's territory as much as possible so that it attracts police attention regarding a serious conflict brewing in Y Country. This will surely trigger a severe crackdown on organized crime," Mo Ming instructed. "I anticipate that many of Reed's businesses will become very difficult for him; at that point, he will have no choice but to temporarily compromise for the sake of his family's interests."
"We know what to do; don't worry about it Shura Boss," Eda nodded in agreement.
Mo Ming was quite satisfied with Eda and the others' attitude and put away his cold demeanor to reveal a friendly smile. "That's enough for today; now it's time for our celebration party! We should raise a glass in honor of Mario for his allegiance; if it weren't for him choosing to stand by us, taking down Moses Gang would have required much more effort."
Mo Ming raised his glass as the leaders followed suit. They toasted each other before downing their drinks in one go. The following activities were purely for enjoyment; Eda and the others called in a group of hostesses, but Mo Ming didn't need any and let them all go to his companions instead.
That night, the Dragon Soul Gang took its first real step. Yin Eun-hye and the others returned to their respective gangs, discussing everything with their subordinates. Everyone understood their current identity: they were now part of the Dragon Soul Gang!
However, Night Peak faced some difficulties taking over the Grizzly Bear Gang. After all, Rex's death was too sudden, and as an outsider, Night Peak naturally faced resistance from the gang members. Encouraged by Michael from the Grizzly Bear Gang, many wanted to nominate him as the new leader.
Inside the original headquarters of the Grizzly Bear Gang, a large group of people was gathered together, filling the small space to capacity. Night Peak had just arrived, but the others clearly showed no respect. Michael was sitting in the leader's position, while Night Peak didn't even have a chair.
Hearing his name being called out as the most popular candidate, Michael displayed a smug expression, revealing his smoke-stained teeth as he looked disdainfully at the serious-faced Night Peak.
"What do you think you are?" Michael mocked. "Although you were recommended by Lion, even without Rex as leader, your status doesn't allow you to take charge here!"
"That's right; I am just an outsider. However, Lion made it very clear that I am the leader of the Grizzly Bear Gang, not you. Although you've been in the Grizzly Bear Gang longer than I have and have more brothers backing you up, since I, Night Peak, am standing here now, this position must be mine." Night Peak's gaze was icy as he showed no fear of Michael's eager subordinates surrounding him.
"Haha, Lion indeed said you would take over as leader. But I'm sorry; do you see anyone here supporting you?" Michael smirked sarcastically. "Can a leader who lacks support be convincing? It would be better for me to take charge; I can still follow Lion."
"Oh? So you mean this position is something you must seize for yourself?" Night Peak sneered.
Upon hearing this, Michael wiped away his smile and slammed his hand on the table angrily. His subordinates immediately surrounded Night Peak. Seeing this scene, Michael grinned menacingly. "That's exactly what I mean! I will take this position as leader; otherwise, the Grizzly Bear Gang will break away from Dragon Soul Gang's control and become independent again!"
"That statement alone is enough for you to die a thousand times. Are you planning to betray Dragon Soul?" Night Peak's gaze grew colder as he scanned his subordinates surrounding him and said to Michael, "I can give you one more chance: submit to me, and I won't kill you!"
"You little clown are truly laughable. I think you still don't understand the situation and dare to threaten me? Are you looking for death?" Michael coldly laughed. "If Dragon Soul insists on making you the leader, then what if I betray them?"
"Alright then; this is your stubbornness. Don't blame me for being ruthless." A glint of killing intent flashed in Night Peak's eyes. He showed no concern for his current situation and seemed to have anticipated this scenario without any surprise.
"Brothers, since this outsider insists on interfering with my Grizzly Bear Gang, let's send him to meet God! God will tell him how foolish his words are today!" Michael appeared amused by Night Peak's threat and clapped while laughing.
The surrounding subordinates seemed to have received orders to attack and rushed forward immediately. However, just as they surged toward him, Night Peak quickly drew a gun from his pocket and fired a shot at one of the approaching subordinates' heads, instantly causing chaos.
Night Peak showed no concern for such a bloody scene; taking advantage of the gunfire to scare off those subordinates, he dashed toward Michael with incredible speed. Before Michael could react, the cold muzzle of a gun was already aimed at his head.
"You better not move, or I'll blow his brains out," Night Peak said, a cruel smile curling at the corners of his mouth, his eyes filled with murderous intent. It was clear that he had made up his mind to kill Michael after being provoked. He pressed the gun firmly against Michael's head and added, "I told you, if you insist on going your own way, don't blame me for being ruthless!"
In truth, Michael had been in this line of work for many years but was still a coward at heart. He had just been lucky enough to accomplish a few things to rise to his position. Now, with Night Peak's gun pressed against his head, a flicker of fear crossed his eyes, though he quickly forced it down.
"Hmph, if you have the guts, just shoot me. I don’t believe that killing me will let you walk out of here!" Michael pretended to be tough. "With just one handgun, how do you expect to take down all of us here?"
"That's not something you need to worry about; you'll be dead anyway."
Night Peak coldly laughed and without hesitation pulled the trigger. A gunshot rang out, and a bloody hole appeared in Michael's head. With shock and fear in his eyes, Michael widened them before instantly becoming a corpse.
After Michael's death, a few of his more loyal subordinates rushed forward with reddened eyes. Night Peak's gaze turned even colder as he shot each of them without mercy. His aim was precise; every bullet struck vital points, taking their lives in an instant.
"If any of you are willing to die, feel free to come at me. I don't mind taking care of a few more of you," Night Peak said sternly to those who wanted to move but were too afraid. "Michael's death is no loss; he wanted to betray the Dragon Soul Gang, so his only fate was death! If any of you want to challenge the Dragon Soul Gang, come and try!"
The subordinates were intimidated by Night Peak's ruthless methods. This strategy of capturing the leader first had indeed worked; with Michael dead, those who were close to him no longer dared to make noise. After all, with their leader gone, there was no need for them to seek death.
"Good, does anyone oppose?" Night Peak scanned the remaining subordinates and declared, "Then I am now the leader of the Grizzly Bear Gang. Let me make it clear: obey the Dragon Soul Gang or die if you betray them! From now on, the Grizzly Bear Gang will be renamed Giant Bear Hall and become a branch of the Dragon Soul Gang!"
