Mo Ming knew that with Yang Yuan's hatred towards him, if he successfully escaped from prison, the first person he would seek revenge on would undoubtedly be Mo Ming. Moreover, given Yang Yuan's infatuation with Murong Lian, he might do anything outrageous to her. Therefore, the first thing on Mo Ming's mind was to find someone to protect Murong Lian.
With the Flowing Wind Sect providing protection, Mo Ming felt more at ease. The people sent would surely be elites; even Iron Fist Lingyun Tian would have to think twice before taking action!
"Who helped Yang Yuan and the others escape from prison?"
Mo Ming squinted his eyes, pondering this. The Bloodthirsty Mercenaries had already fallen apart and were leaderless. Even if there were remnants, it was impossible for them to successfully break into the prison without anyone noticing.
This indicated that those who rescued Yang Yuan must belong to another force, and their intentions were clear: to kill Mo Ming and achieve their own goals!
"The Dark Order!"
Without a second thought, the name of this organization popped into his mind. Among Mo Ming's enemies, the only one with such power was undoubtedly the Dark Order.
Hebrew, a lone assassin, could not have leaked information about Yang Yuan without raising any alarms.
Moreover, considering Hebrew's personality, it was unlikely he would entrust his enemy's life to someone else. So it was evident that it was the Dark Order behind this.
"No matter what tricks you plan to pull, I will make sure you end up like a stray dog!"
A cold light flickered in Mo Ming's eyes, as if it could pierce through the dark night.
…
The next morning, as Mo Ming stepped out of his room, he accidentally bumped into someone walking by.
"Ah!"
Mo Ming reacted quickly and grabbed the person's hand, pulling them back. The person stumbled and collided into Mo Ming.
Upon seeing who it was, Mo Ming hurriedly released his grip, feeling a wave of frustration. Why did he have to bump into Li Xiulan here?
Upon seeing Mo Ming, Li Xiulan did not create a scene like the first time; instead, she appeared somewhat delicate and pitiful, her eyes slightly unfocused, and her cheeks had turned rosy at some point.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Williams Mo..."
Mo Ming interrupted Li Xiulan, smiling lightly, "Just call me Mo Ming. And there's no need to apologize; after all, we bumped into each other. Who knows who ran into whom? As long as neither of us is hurt, that's what matters."
Seeing Mo Ming's friendly smile made Li Xiulan feel a bit more relaxed, but she was still somewhat fearful, likely intimidated by Mo Ming's status and worried about offending him and losing her job.
She recalled when she first met Mo Ming, she had mocked him as a poor man, likening him to a beggar. But now he had become the largest shareholder of this grand hotel, without exception.
"I really feel like I want to dig a hole to hide in!"
Li Xiulan felt ashamed for not recognizing his worth back then and treating a prince like a beggar.
"I have things to attend to, so I'll take my leave," Mo Ming said when he noticed Li Xiulan's gaze flickering and her silence before departing.
"Ah..." By the time Li Xiulan came back to her senses, Mo Ming had already walked far away. She watched his retreating figure.
Li Xiulan murmured to herself, "Why am I so foolish? I prepared for so long just to say thank you, yet I froze up just now."
In fact, Li Xiulan had been anxious about expressing her gratitude to Mo Ming. She was worried he might think she was being opportunistic, so she paced back and forth outside the door several times.
It was only when Mo Ming opened the door that her nervousness caused her to bump into him again, leading to their third collision in her life.
...
After leaving the Phoenix Grand Hotel, Mo Ming headed directly to Murong Wei's Hillside Mansion.
A few days ago, Mo Ming wanted to discuss Gong Gao Yi with him; however, Murong Wei happened to be out on business and mentioned he would return today.
Upon arriving at Hillside Mansion, Mo Ming happened to encounter Murong Lian coming out of the house, seemingly preparing to go to work, dressed in the same outfit as when they first met.
"Mo Ming, my dad is having breakfast inside. I have to go to work, so I won't accompany you in," Murong Lian said with a smile as she greeted Mo Ming and walked past him.
"Um..." Mo Ming turned around and said something that made Murong Lian stop in her tracks and turn back.
"What is it?" Murong Lian asked with a puzzled expression.
"Nothing, just drive slowly and be careful on the way," Mo Ming replied.
He initially wanted to tell Murong Lian about Yang Yuan's escape from prison but worried that it might frighten her. After thinking it over, he decided against it, shook his head, and changed the subject.
Murong Lian paused for a moment before responding irritably, "I know, I'm not you; I won't speed!"
Mo Ming smiled wryly and nodded without saying anything further. He watched as Murong Lian drove away before entering the house.
"Ming Shao, you're here," Aunt Xiang greeted Mo Ming politely upon seeing him.
"Mm," Mo Ming replied with a slight nod and then looked for Murong Wei.
At that moment, Murong Wei was leisurely eating breakfast while reading the newspaper. Hearing footsteps, he looked up and saw Mo Ming, a faint smile appearing on his lips.
"Mo Ming, you're here! Have you eaten breakfast? If not, come sit down and eat with me."
"I actually haven't eaten. I specifically came here for Aunt Xiang's breakfast," Mo Ming said without any pretense as he sat down and began to eat.
After finishing their meal, Mo Ming said with satisfaction, "Murong Old Man, I'm sorry, but I've encountered some trouble recently and can't leave for now. Your matter will have to wait."
Upon hearing this, Murong Wei's expression changed noticeably, but he still smiled and shook his head, saying, "No rush, no rush. A gentleman's revenge is not too late even after ten years. I've waited so long; what's a little more time?"
"Alright, I know you're eager for revenge, but everything is piling up, and I can't spare the time."
Mo Ming saw through Murong Wei's feelings and helplessly said, "Gong Gao Yi's backing is not simple. I think it's better if I handle it personally. However, I will send someone over to do some work first. Once everything is resolved, I'll take care of your matter immediately!"
"Ah, you’ve seen through me again. As long as Gong Gao Yi is alive, I won't have peace of mind," Murong Wei sighed heavily. "I can only let him live a little longer for now."
"Hey, don't think too much about it. Eat when it's time to eat and sleep when it's time to sleep. I can guarantee that Gong Gao Yi will be delivered right to you. When that time comes, you can take your revenge however you want."
Murong Wei nodded and asked, "What trouble have you encountered recently? It seems like you're not doing too well."
"Enemies everywhere; how can I not worry?" Mo Ming couldn't help but roll his eyes.
"About your situation, Lian'er has told me a bit. Have enemies come looking for you?" Murong Wei said. "If you need my help, just ask. I know all the officials here and can leverage their power."
"No need for that; those people can't help me. I can handle it myself," Mo Ming joked. "If you really want to help me, just give me all your assets."
"Sure, no problem! If you're willing to marry Lian'er, I'll hand over all my assets to you," Murong Wei replied with a slight smile, giving off an air of cunning.
"Come on, you know I'm already married. Don't you understand the concept of monogamy?" Mo Ming extended his middle finger in disdain at Murong Wei.
To his surprise, Murong Wei didn't care at all and chuckled, "As long as you agree, I can help you get a marriage certificate. As long as you're good to Lian'er, I have no objections if you want multiple wives. It's normal for a man with ability to have several wives."
"Planning to sell your daughter?"
Mo Ming scoffed and said, "You’re not even married yourself; why say so much? Fine, I don't want your assets anymore. You're such a lecher; I'm too lazy to banter with you. This conversation ends here; I'm leaving."
"Alright, if there are really any financial issues, you can come to me," Murong Wei said with a slight nod.
...
After leaving Murong Wei's house, Mo Ming drove to the busiest area in the city center. Once he parked, he wandered around for a while.
This way, Mo Ming wanted to confirm that he had shaken off Hebrew's control, and also to track Hebrew's whereabouts. In this bustling area, it was not difficult for Mo Ming to evade Hebrew's surveillance.
"It seems that Hebrew really didn't follow me this time. He must be hiding and nursing his wounds after I shot him last time."
Mo Ming strolled for quite a while, paying close attention to his surroundings, but he did not detect any sign of Hebrew. This indicated that Hebrew was indeed not following him.
Thinking of this, Mo Ming suddenly remembered something and immediately took out his phone to call He Yunsong.
"Ah Yun, have your guys check the pharmacies to see if they noticed Hebrew. I'm heading over to your place now."
"Okay, I'll have them investigate right away. It should be done within three hours. I'm at the gym, so come over."
After hanging up, Mo Ming quickly drove to He Yunsong's gym.
...
"Ah Yun, have you found any news?"
The first thing Mo Ming did upon seeing He Yunsong was to inquire about Hebrew. Until this guy was dealt with, Mo Ming felt uneasy; having someone watching you all day long was hardly comfortable!
"Not yet. There are many pharmacies in Nanhua City; we've already checked nearly two hundred of them without any leads. But we're still looking."
He Yunsong shook his head with a wry smile. The Little Green Society had considerable influence, but with so many pharmacies, finding one specific person was no easy task.
"Well, there's no rush. Take your time to search carefully, especially pay attention to those small pharmacies in less frequented areas. If Hebrew wants to buy medicine, he would likely go to such places."
Mo Ming speculated about Hebrew's thoughts. Given the injury, he would continue seeking medication but was also afraid of being found. Therefore, the most likely places he would choose would be those small pharmacies that few people visit.
"Don't worry, I've already instructed them specifically. I believe as long as Hebrew has bought medicine from a pharmacy, we will be able to track him down." Without waiting for Mo Ming to remind him, He Yunsong had already considered this possibility.
"I'll wait here. If there are no results, it might mean we were wrong; Hebrew hasn't been to a pharmacy."
The idea of Hebrew going to a pharmacy was merely a guess from Mo Ming. At this point, it was just a shot in the dark to see if they could find any trace of Hebrew, without much hope.
Suddenly, He Yunsong's phone rang. He glanced at the caller ID and said to Mo Ming, "Jordan is calling."
With that, He Yunsong answered the call.
"Yun Song, we found him! He was located at the pharmacy number 302 in Xia Yunling, but that was two days ago. We don't know if he's still nearby," Jordan said with slight excitement.
Mo Ming couldn't hear the conversation but could tell from He Yunsong's expression what was happening. He immediately said, "Tell Jordan not to act recklessly; I'll handle the rest."
"Jordan, the boss says not to act recklessly. Have your people withdraw," He Yunsong nodded in understanding and conveyed the message to Jordan.
