The ranking battle this time ended with Silver Wolf's victory. The final ranking placed him first, without a doubt, a position no one dared to contest. After all, as the second-place contender, Silver Wolf still held some apprehension towards the strength of the first-place winner, and for now, he was not a match for him; why seek defeat?
Following Silver Wolf were Missile, Manticore, Xiu Meng, then Iron Man and Red Ghost, among others. These individuals currently formed the backbone of the "Yihun" new blood, while others still needed improvement.
Manticore was a burly man with a powerful build; his explosive strength in his arms was his greatest asset. Just a single punch from him felt like being struck by a massive rock, and many had met their end at the hands of Manticore.
As for Xiu Meng, while not as muscular as Manticore, he was still impressive, particularly with strong leg power. Together, they could be called "Steel Cannon and Iron Whip." However, based on the rankings, Manticore's punches slightly surpassed those of Xiu Meng, though the difference was minimal.
Silver Wolf informed Mo Ming that in the last ranking battle, Manticore had narrowly won. Even after defeating Xiu Meng, he had to recuperate for quite some time before fully healing. This time, however, Manticore achieved a complete victory, demonstrating how quickly an opponent could become formidable if one was not careful.
Positions here were hard to stabilize; even Liufeng and Mo Ming, ranked lower, struggled to maintain their standings because Poisonous Madness and others were top-tier experts, making it challenging to hold their ground.
Once Mo Ming finished discussing matters with Liufeng, there was no reason to linger any longer. After saying goodbye to everyone, he left directly for the parking lot to retrieve his car and headed straight to Murong Wei's home.
It was now three in the morning; the streets were somewhat desolate with few passing vehicles. Suddenly, a black Hummer sped up from behind, matching pace with Mo Ming.
“Hebrew!”
Upon recognizing the person inside the black vehicle, Mo Ming saw that it was Hebrew, who wore a strange smile while looking at him. While it might seem eerie to others, Mo Ming did not feel that way.
However, it did surprise him; his expression changed to one of shock and discomfort—not out of fear of Hebrew, but because finding him at this time and place indicated something significant.
Since leaving Fu Meng's house, Hebrew had been persistently following him!
This thought triggered a sense of crisis in Mo Ming. If Hebrew had discovered the location of their base, it could lead to serious consequences. The fact that Hebrew did not rush to eliminate him suggested that he intended to gradually undermine Mo Ming, making him taste defeat.
“Shura, don’t worry; soon you will lose everything!”
Hebrew said to Mo Ming, then rolled up his window and accelerated away.
“Since you’ve come this far, do you think you can leave?”
Now that Hebrew has come to him, it saves Mo Ming the trouble of searching everywhere. He wants to escape, but it's not that easy!
With full power, Mo Ming's sports car roars like a beast, chasing after Hebrew's direction of escape.
In the dead of night, there aren't many vehicles on the street, but there are still some. Mo Ming and Hebrew race through the darkness like street racers in the city, speeding past cars that seem nonexistent in their eyes.
The two cars speed ahead without a destination, showing no intention of stopping at red lights, rushing through and startling many drivers. Several times they ran red lights, almost colliding with other vehicles.
Ahead is an intersection, and just as Hebrew is about to dash out, the red light turns on.
Mo Ming doesn't even frown as he speeds up. Just as he bursts through, a bright light hits the side window of his car; another vehicle is racing towards him.
This is a heart-stopping moment; everyone else can foresee an impending car crash. Hearts are racing tightly, and some have already pulled out their phones to call the hospital.
However, the person involved, Mo Ming, doesn't care. He quickly glances at the position of the other vehicle and skillfully maneuvers his car, drifting slightly off the straight path to avoid the oncoming car.
The two cars nearly made contact at their limits, creating dazzling sparks like ghostly flames in the Underworld.
"Are you crazy? Running a red light and going that fast? Are you trying to get yourself killed?" The frightened driver slammed on the brakes and yelled at Mo Ming.
But Mo Ming pays no attention; he merely swerves his car and continues to chase straight ahead. However, Hebrew's taillights are already fading into the distance. Although he can't shake off Mo Ming easily, he still tries.
Mo Ming's sports car has been modified; it's impossible for Hebrew to easily lose him.
Before long, Mo Ming is closing in on Hebrew's Hummer.
"Hmph, Shura, I hope you don't die so easily. I have plenty of gifts prepared for you—enjoy them!" Seeing Mo Ming's shadow getting closer, Hebrew reveals a strange smile with amusement in his eyes.
"This is... brake failure!"
Mo Ming suddenly realized that the car's brakes had failed. His mind panicked for a moment, but he quickly regained his composure. This car must have been tampered with by Hebrew; otherwise, how could the brakes fail out of nowhere?
Earlier, in his haste to deal with Hebrew, he hadn't considered the consequences. No wonder Hebrew had suddenly appeared; it was clearly a trap to lure Mo Ming into speeding up, only for the brakes to fail, leaving him with no way out.
However, Mo Ming was not the least bit panicked, as panic would do him no good. Only by staying calm and thinking of a solution could he hope to survive.
"Hebrew, if you want to play this way, then I'll play along until the end!"
Mo Ming roared, his eyes filled with determination as he steered the car straight into the rear of Hebrew's vehicle.
Bang!
The two cars collided violently, and Mo Ming's car pushed against Hebrew's from behind.
"Haha, Asura, how can you play with me like this when you're in such a predicament? I can guarantee you that if you crash, no matter how skilled you are, you'll be finished!" Hebrew laughed arrogantly.
Just ahead at a turn, Hebrew's car veered right. At this speed, without brakes, there was no way Mo Ming could safely navigate the turn. He watched helplessly as Hebrew disappeared from view.
Mo Ming felt a deep sense of helplessness but knew he was powerless to change it.
"Damn it, I can't worry about him for now; I need to find a way to escape this disaster first." Mo Ming carefully controlled the car to avoid colliding with other vehicles. Fortunately, his driving skills were exceptional, allowing him to narrowly avoid danger time and again.
"Luckily, we're near the sea; the Cross-Sea Bridge is just ahead!" Mo Ming quickly glanced at the navigation system and felt he had found a way out. He smirked and said, "Hebrew, if you think you can make me die like this, you're probably mistaken!"
"You actually have some brains; you didn't waste my preparations for nothing. If you were to die like this, I would be so disappointed. God, I want him to suffer first before sending him to meet you."
Hebrew's voice echoed inside Mo Ming's car. Not only had Hebrew tampered with the brakes, but he had also installed listening devices and remote speakers in the vehicle. Everything Mo Ming said was being overheard by Hebrew.
Recovering from his momentary surprise and regaining his calmness, Mo Ming sneered and said, "Heh heh, I underestimated you. Don't worry; I won't disappoint you. If I can end your life once, I can certainly do it again!"
"Let's hope so. For now, why don't you go wash up in the sea?"
As soon as the words left Hebrew's mouth, a vast ocean appeared before Mo Ming, along with a high bridge spanning across it. Mo Ming remained silent, fully focused on the front, searching for a gap to cross over.
He pushed through until he reached the railing surrounding the sea. Without hesitation, Mo Ming blinked not once as he drove straight into the railing, crashing through it. The car jolted violently and soared into the air, heading towards the ocean.
Mo Ming quickly unbuckled his seatbelt, opened the car door, and jumped out. Just like that, both he and the car plunged into the sea.
...
In the Traffic Police Unit's Interrogation Room.
"What is your name?"
"Mo Ming." Mo Ming replied flatly, "Didn't I tell you before? How could you forget, beautiful? I'm really disappointed; I never thought I wouldn't be able to get into your heart..."
A loud bang echoed as someone slammed their hand on the table.
"Enough!"
Sitting across from Mo Ming was a female traffic officer, Xu Yanhui. She was of average appearance but had an impressive figure; her cup size must have been at least a D. Her temper matched her physique—fiery.
"Please answer me seriously. Who were you racing with tonight?"
Mo Ming shook his head with a slight smile and said, "I have no idea who he is. Besides, did I even race tonight? I thought it was hot and wanted to go wash up in the sea. Isn't arresting me like this a bit excessive?"
Another loud bang sounded as Xu Yanhui's face flushed with anger, causing quite a stir in her chest.
"Stop playing dumb! You clearly went racing in the middle of the night and fell into the sea. We caught you red-handed, and you still won't admit it?"
Mo Ming smiled even wider and said, "I'm just curious, why would I go for a midnight swim in the sea and coincidentally encounter a car that fell into the water, and you immediately blame me?"
"Stop trying to argue. I have photos from the road surveillance cameras as evidence," Xu Yanhui said as she took out her phone, showed Mo Ming a few pictures, and then tossed it over. "I checked the license plate number; it's registered in your name!"
"Alright, you caught me," Mo Ming said with a wry smile. "But that doesn't prove I'm part of a street racing gang, does it? Beautiful lady, what you claim is that you've caught me red-handed, but all I did was come out of the sea. Did you actually see me racing?"
"Are you out of your mind?" Xu Yanhui shot Mo Ming an angry glare, getting even more frustrated. "You admitted that car is yours, which means the evidence is solid. You definitely ran a red light and were speeding; how can you still deny that you were racing?"
"I want to ask, if a tornado comes and debris falls from the sky killing someone, what does that count as? Is it murder by the tornado or the fault of the building owner?"
Xu Yanhui glanced at the table impatiently and said, "I don't have time to engage in nonsense with you. Please just answer my question directly!"
"I'm trying to answer your question. Don't waste your brainpower on irrelevant things; having a big chest doesn't mean you can be brainless," Mo Ming said with a grin while looking at Xu Yanhui's chest, causing her face to flush red with embarrassment and anger. "You pervert! What are you staring at?"
"Hehe, I just wanted to remind you to use your brain to think things through before speaking," Mo Ming replied as he withdrew his gaze, chuckling softly and shaking his head while looking down at the ground before returning his attention to Xu Yanhui.
"The car is mine, and I did run a red light, but it wasn't intentional. If your brakes failed, would you be able to stop at a red light?" Mo Ming teased. "Our country has such a strong system for stopping at red lights and going at green; how could I not know about it?"
