Li Ming returned home, feeling heavy-hearted. He opened his computer and carefully compared his proposal with those submitted by Xiao Li and Xiao Wang. He found that their proposals were astonishingly similar to his, with many paragraphs nearly identical, only differing in some vocabulary and expressions. This made Li Ming feel immense anger and disappointment.
"This is clearly plagiarism!" Li Ming's heart burned with rage as he realized that the fruits of his hard work had been shamelessly stolen. Unable to tolerate it any longer, he decided to confront Xiao Li and Xiao Wang to expose their despicable actions.
Early the next morning, as soon as Li Ming arrived at the office, he headed straight for Xiao Li and Xiao Wang's desks. They were chatting happily about something when they saw Li Ming approaching angrily, momentarily taken aback.
"Li Ming, what are you doing here so early? Work hasn't even started yet," Xiao Li said mockingly, a look of disdain on his face.
"We need to talk," Li Ming said coldly, his eyes filled with anger.
Xiao Li and Xiao Wang exchanged glances, a hint of tension appearing on their faces, but they quickly regained their composure.
"Whatever it is, you can say it here," Xiao Li replied, feigning calmness.
Li Ming took a deep breath, forcing himself to calm down, then pulled out his proposal and theirs from his bag and placed them on the table.
"This is my proposal that I submitted ear Li'er; this is yours. Take a look for yourselves at how many parts are exactly the same," Li Ming's voice carried suppressed fury.
Xiao Li and Xiao Wang glanced down at the documents, their faces turning pale. They hadn't expected Li Ming to discover their plagiarism so quickly, and they felt a surge of panic.
"Li Ming, what do you mean by this?" Xiao Li asked, struggling to maintain his composure while feigning innocence.
"What do I mean? You know very well! You plagiarized my proposal!" Li Ming said angrily, clenching his fists.
"Li Ming, don't make baseless accusations. This is our own work; it has nothing to do with you," Xiao Wang hurriedly defended himself, a guilty expression on his face.
"Your own work? Then how do you explain these identical contents?" Li Ming pointed at the documents and coldly questioned them.
Xiao Li and Xiao Wang were left speechless; they knew further arguments would be futile and could only lower their heads in silence.
"What you did is utterly shameless," Li Ming's voice was filled with deep disappointment and anger. "I will report this to our supervisor; I won't let you get away with it."
"Li Ming, don't be so agitated. We had no choice," Xiao Li suddenly said in a low voice, a pleading expression on her face.
"No choice? What reason do you have that justifies this?" Li Ming scoffed, not believing these people had any legitimate justification.
"Li Ming, we are also being forced into this. The pressure from this project is too great, and we simply can't complete it, so..." Xiao Li's voice grew quieter, her face filled with regret.
"What you are doing is not only betraying me but also the entire company," Li Ming said coldly, then turned and walked toward Liu Yi's office.
"Li Ming, stop!" Xiao Wang shouted loudly as he quickly caught up to Li Ming and grabbed his shoulder. "You can't go report us; we have our own difficulties!"
Li Ming shrugged off Xiao Wang's hand and replied coldly, "What difficulties do you have? All I see is your shamelessness and despicability."
Seeing this, Xiao Li's expression changed. Knowing the situation was beyond repair, she decided to tear off the facade and said loudly, "Li Ming, who do you think you are? We merely borrowed some of your content; this is normal in the company. Besides, you're not that impressive—why can't we use your stuff?"
"Borrowed? This is outright plagiarism!" Li Ming exclaimed angrily, clenching his fists. "I will not tolerate this."
Xiao Li sneered, "Li Ming, what you're doing will only bring trouble upon yourself. Do you really think the boss will side with you? You're just an ordinary employee while we have connections."
"Connections? Your behavior only makes people look down on you," Li Ming responded fearlessly, knowing he could not back down.
"Li Ming, let us say this one more time: don't seek trouble for yourself," Xiao Wang threatened, his face darkening.
"Trouble? The ones truly seeking trouble are you," Li Ming said coldly before resolutely turning back toward Liu Yi's office.
At that moment, Liu Yi approached. Seeing the confrontation between Li Ming and Xiao Li and Xiao Wang, he wore a puzzled expression.
Liu Yi flipped through the documents again and said coldly, "Li Ming, these contents are indeed very similar. However, I have looked closely; Xiao Li and Xiao Wang's wording is more refined, and their proposal better meets our needs. You should learn how to express your ideas more effectively."
Li Ming felt a wave of helplessness wash over him. He couldn't believe his efforts would be so easily dismissed and was even more shocked that Liu Yi would show such favoritism toward Xiao Li and Xiao Wang.
“ manager Liu, their proposal is basically a copy of mine,” Li Ming said unwillingly.
“Li Ming, what matters in the workplace is the result, not the process. You need to learn how to showcase your abilities more effectively,” Liu Yi replied coldly, clearly not wanting to discuss it further.
Xiao Li and Xiao Wang nearby wore smug smiles on their faces.
“Understood, manager Liu,” Li Ming replied softly, filled with anger and disappointment. He knew he could not achieve fairness in such an environment, but he also understood that this was a reality he could not easily change.
Leaving Liu Yi's office, Li Ming felt a wave of helplessness and loss. He returned to his workstation and silently began to work, while his mind was occupied with thoughts on how to become stronger.
Zhang Xiaomin walked over and noticed Li Ming's pale face. She asked with concern, “Li Ming, what’s wrong?”
Li Ming looked up at Zhang Xiaomin and forced a smile, “It's nothing, just a bit tired.”
Zhang Xiaomin looked at him with compassion in her eyes. She knew about Li Ming's situation in the company and the pressure and injustice he was enduring.
“Li Ming, don’t give up. I believe you will succeed,” Zhang Xiaomin said softly, her eyes shining with encouragement.
Li Ming nodded, feeling a warmth in his heart. He knew that no matter how difficult it was, he could not give up. He decided to work even harder to prove his worth.
That night, Li Ming returned home and continued studying the Primordial True Scripture. He felt that his strength was gradually increasing, and his cultivation was continuously improving. He knew that this was just the beginning; many more challenges awaited him in the future.
