Red Cloud turned his head to look at Di Jun and smiled, saying, "How have you been lately, Di Jun?"
"Good," Di Jun replied, his gaze fixed on him, uttering just one word.
Standing beside them, Ye Chuanze watched the two and felt a headache coming on. His relationship with Red Cloud was merely casual; to put it bluntly, even if something happened to Red Cloud, he wouldn't be too affected. After all, Red Cloud was just an acquaintance to him. However, his relationship with Zhen Yuanzi was relatively good. Zhen Yuanzi had shown him goodwill multiple times, so out of respect for Zhen Yuanzi, Ye Chuanze thought it best to remind Red Cloud a bit.

He could disregard Di Jun's threats, but he had to consider his friendship with Nuwa. Therefore, after she spoke, he chose to remain silent. Naturally, he would choose to help Nuwa over Red Cloud.
Red Cloud glanced at Nuwa and then at Ye Chuanze, ultimately fixing his gaze on the Innate Spiritual Root growing in the yellow earth ahead, the Gourd Vine.
The gathering of immortals was drawn here by an intense wave of spiritual energy; there must be a Spiritual Treasure emerging. The Gourd Vine was surrounded by dense spiritual energy, its vines lush and green, adorned with seven gourds in red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet.

Red Cloud looked at the gourds and said excitedly, "I knew something was off today; I felt restless and couldn't settle down. It turns out there's such an opportunity waiting for me. It was worth my trip out!"

Red Cloud replied cheerfully, "Did you not see that this gourd is red?"

"This gourd is red; my name is Red Cloud. Today I'm wearing red clothes; this gourd must be fated for me!" Red Cloud said matter-of-factly.
"Wow... you're even more shameless than I am." Ye Chuanze couldn't help but speak his mind before quickly clearing his throat and saying, "Today I'm wearing black clothes... Di Jun is in blue... Taiyi is in plain brocade... Fuxi is in white... Nuwa is in a lotus-colored long dress... The Three Pure Ones are in black, white, and green. It seems that aside from Di Jun and Sky-Connecting, we are all fated to have no connection with this gourd!"
Upon hearing this, the faces of the other immortals turned sour; Red Cloud's words were essentially slapping them in the face.
"That's absurd!" Primordial said coldly. "Red Cloud, we arrived before you. If we're talking about fate, we have a stronger connection with this gourd than you do."
"Primordial is absolutely right," Fuxi agreed, a gentle and elegant smile on his lips as he nodded in support.
"My brother's words are much more reasonable than those of Red Cloud," Sky-Connecting lazily chimed in.

Seeing so many people opposing him, Red Cloud's expression darkened.
As the one who first struck at Red Cloud, Ye Chuanze stood quietly to the side with a hint of mockery on his face, observing the scene without speaking. Don't blame him; Red Cloud's reasoning was simply too ridiculous. He wanted to come up with an excuse to claim a connection with the Primordial Gourd, which was fine since everyone did that. However, he should never have chosen such a reason; it was one that could easily backfire on many others. Aside from Di Jun and Sky-Connecting, who wore blue and green respectively, everyone else felt like they had been shot in the knee.
Everyone wanted the Primordial Gourd, and Red Cloud's statement denied the connection between the other immortals and the gourd. So it was no wonder they all united against him; it was a case of collective anger! Ye Chuanze thought that if he weren't wearing black today, he might have considered siding with him. Unfortunately, he was dressed in black. Those not wearing red, orange, yellow, green, blue, or purple robes were bound to stab him instead.
"Red Cloud makes a valid point; this red gourd does suit him," Di Jun suddenly spoke up.
All the immortals, including Red Cloud, looked at him in surprise. Ye Chuanze scoffed lightly and said sarcastically, "Is this because you're wearing blue today?"
Di Jun glanced at him and replied, "No, I don't want this Primordial Gourd today. One is enough for me and Taiyi."
Now Ye Chuanze was genuinely surprised; Di Jun had decisively given it up. He looked at Taiyi standing beside Di Jun and pondered whether it was truly due to brotherly affection. This brought to mind the previous incident at Buzhou Mountain when the immortals competed for the Primordial Banana Leaf. At that time, Taiyi had been the first to give up and let Di Jun take the opportunity. Could it be that this time Di Jun was sacrificing himself for Taiyi?
Fuxi then straightforwardly added, "One Primordial Gourd is enough for me and Nüwa as well, but we need to choose first."

Next, Taiyi selected a gourd, and then Ye Chuanze picked a blue gourd. He did this intentionally to annoy Dijun, as Dijun was wearing blue today. After all, he had echoed Red Cloud's words.
The Three Pure Ones chose three gourds, and whether intentional or not, the red gourd was left for Red Cloud.
Red Cloud received the red gourd and happily exclaimed, "I must say I am destined to have this red gourd!"
Upon hearing this, the other immortals, including Dijun, frowned in displeasure. At this point, did he still not know to hold back? After all the immortals had clearly stated that his reasoning about being destined was absurd, he still said such things, which truly made people feel uncomfortable.
Ye Chuanze snorted coldly and turned to Dijun, saying, "Dijun, this blue gourd in my hand must be destined for you."
Dijun was taken aback for a moment and then smiled as he replied, " Mr. Ye is joking. Since this gourd has come into your hands, it must be destined for you. Those absurd reasons are not worth listening to!"
"Indeed! Junior Brother, why bother with such baseless remarks? Just treat them as jokes," Sky-Connecting added with a lazy smile and a light mocking tone.
At this moment, Red Cloud's smile completely vanished.
