Ye Chuanze pondered for a moment, unable to recall any interaction with Kitsunetsu, and wondered why Kitsunetsu specifically called for him. After a brief pause, he spoke, "I am Ye Chuanze. May I ask what business you have with me?"
Seeing him, Kitsunetsu raised an eyebrow in surprise and said, "A few days ago, did you not eliminate a Nine-Tailed Fox with ill intentions in Qishan?"
Ye Chuanze nodded in response, saying, "That is indeed the case."
"Then it is correct," Kitsunetsu began to explain the situation.
It turned out that the Nine-Tailed Fox in Qishan had cultivated eight tails by devouring the demon cores of Yao Xian, successfully taking on a form but was unable to cultivate the ninth tail. Thus, the Fox left Qishan and went to Azure Hill, using its alluring appearance to entice many from the Nine-Tailed Celestial Fox clan of Qingqiu Mountain. Taking advantage of their unguarded moments, it harmed their lives and extracted their demon cores to cultivate its ninth tail.
After the incident, the entire Nine-Tailed Celestial Fox clan of Qingqiu Mountain was enraged. Kitsunetsu took matters into his own hands, seeking to kill that Fox to avenge his fallen kin. However, someone from his clan, who had been bewitched by the Fox, suddenly intervened and blocked Kitsunetsu, allowing the Fox to escape. Nevertheless, the Fox was severely injured and could no longer maintain its human form. Having relied on dubious methods to enhance its powers, its foundation was unstable; after being heavily wounded by Kitsunetsu, it reverted back to its original form.
After fleeing from Qingqiu Mountain, the Fox dared not roam outside of the Primordial realm and had no choice but to hide back in Qishan. Kitsunetsu searched for it for a long time but could not find its hiding place. Eventually, when Ye Chuanze unknowingly passed through Qishan and eliminated the Nine-Tailed Fox, breaking the magical barrier there, without that obstacle, Kitsunetsu was finally able to locate it. However, he discovered that the Fox was already dead; upon calculation, he found out that it was eliminated by a Yao Xian named Ye Chuanze.
The reason Kitsunetsu came to attend the Ginseng Fruit Banquet at Wuzhuang Temple was partly due to his friendship with Zhen Yuanzi, who personally invited him. He agreed to come for the banquet. The other reason was to seek out Ye Chuanze, as eliminating that Fox had greatly aided the Azure Hill Nine-Tailed Celestial Fox clan.
After hearing Kitsunetsu's account, Ye Chuanze realized that there was an unknown backstory behind the events in Qishan.
Knowing that Ye Chuanze was the one who had helped the Nine-Tailed Celestial Fox clan, Kitsunetsu's expression softened, and his tone became less harsh than before. He said to Ye Chuanze, "You have eliminated that Fox; thus you have rendered a great service to my clan. In the future, should you encounter any difficulties, our Azure Hill Nine-Tailed clan promises to assist you once in gratitude for your great kindness."
Surprised by this unexpected promise from the Nine-Tailed Celestial Fox clan for merely killing that Fox, Ye Chuanze remained composed and replied modestly, "It is only right to eliminate evil beings; there is no need for such formalities." In truth, he had already begun contemplating what benefits this promise from the Nine-Tailed Celestial Fox clan could bring him.
Kitsunetsu insisted firmly, "Your great kindness will surely be repaid by our clan!"
What Ye Chuanze did not know was just how much hatred the Azure Hill Nine-Tailed Celestial Fox clan held towards that Fox. The Nine-Tailed Celestial Fox clan had very few members due to their slow reproduction rate and long growth period for their young; thus they valued each member greatly. The fact that that Fox had harmed several members of their clan and extracted their demon cores for its own gain could only incite fury within them.
Moreover, that Fox possessed formidable charm abilities and had captivated many within the Azure Hill Nine-Tailed Celestial Fox clan. As long as this monster remained alive, peace would be elusive for them! Who knew when that Fox might infiltrate Qingqiu Mountain again and repeat its heinous acts? This was why Kitsunetsu had been relentlessly pursuing the whereabouts of that Fox. Now that Ye Chuanze had killed it and removed a significant threat for the Azure Hill Nine-Tailed Celestial Fox clan, it was only natural for Kitsunetsu to feel grateful and indebted.
Seeing that Kitsunetsu remained steadfast in his stance, Ye Chuanze decided not to decline further; forming a good relationship with the Azure Hill Nine-Tailed Celestial Fox clan would be beneficial.
Zhen Yuanzi sent a young attendant to retrieve another Ginseng Fruit and placed it on Kitsunetsu's table, effectively smoothing over the earlier seating dispute. Kitsunetsu glanced at the Ginseng Fruit in front of him, his expression softening. Zhen Yuanzi's courteous demeanor made him feel quite satisfied. Thus, he decided to overlook the matter with Emperor Jun for the sake of Zhen Yuanzi, hoping to preserve the pleasant atmosphere of the Ginseng Fruit Banquet.
However, with Kitsunetsu's arrival, the atmosphere had cooled considerably. Everyone had their own thoughts, and restoring the initial warm and friendly ambiance seemed unlikely. After a long while, someone finally began to speak softly, gradually warming up the atmosphere again.
Ye Chuanze sat listlessly on the Black Lotus, looking melancholic.
Fuxi couldn't help but chuckle at the sight and said softly to him, "What's wrong with you? You look so unhappy."
Ye Chuanze turned to glance at him, his eyes filled with sorrow as he replied, "You all are having such a great time eating and drinking. I’m just sitting here watching you enjoy yourselves."
Minghe Old Ancestor looked at him and asked, "When does Mr. Ye plan to transform again?"
"I don't know; I have no plans to transform or face tribulation for now," Ye Chuanze replied.
Taiyi, sitting beside Di Jun in plain robes, laughed and said, " Mr. Ye should transform soon! Otherwise, this Ginseng Fruit will be fully ripe."
"I also want to transform soon! But it's not something I can achieve just by wishing for it." As he spoke these words, Ye Chuanze's tone turned resentful. Whenever people saw him, they would ask, "When will you transform? Transform soon! Once you do, I'll treat you to drinks!" Each question felt like a direct jab at his heart. He wanted to transform and enjoy himself too, but this transformation was not something he could simply make happen. After all, he had been struck by lightning tribulations twice already, each time nearly leaving him lifeless.
Upon hearing this, everyone fell silent to avoid touching on Ye Chuanze's sore spot. While they could not fully empathize with his frustration over being unable to transform, they could certainly understand it. In short, it was a suffering that life could hardly bear!
As dusk fell and everyone became slightly intoxicated, they began to bid farewell to Zhen Yuanzi and leave.
Ye Chuanze looked at the untouched Ginseng Fruit in front of him and hesitated for a moment before ultimately deciding against it. He then stored the Ginseng Fruit in the Mustard Seed Space within the Black Lotus. Fuxi and Nuwa exchanged glances in disbelief and turned away from him; if possible, they would have preferred to distance themselves from him and pretend not to know him. Ye Chuanze appeared completely unbothered by their reactions.
Ye Chuanze bid farewell to Zhen Yuanzi along with Fuxi and Nuwa as they headed toward Mount Buzhou.

On this day, the Three Pure Ones suddenly came to visit Ye Chuanze at Buzhou Mountain.
Ye Chuanze looked at the Three Pure Ones and couldn't help but feel surprised. They usually preferred to stay at Kunlun Mountain, so why had they come to visit him today? Although Hongjun had taken Ye Chuanze as a disciple, which had brought him closer to the Three Pure Ones, their relationship was still only slightly more intimate than with an average person. It was not as deep as his bond with Fuxi. The Three Pure Ones had never visited him at Buzhou Mountain; they had only been to Fuxi and Nuwa's Cave long ago to discuss doctrines with them.
Ye Chuanze looked at the Three Pure Ones and said, "May I ask what brings you here today, brothers?"
Primordial glanced at him coldly and said, "Our Master sent us to deliver a message. You are to go to Purple Cloud Palace."
"…Did I not just go to Purple Cloud Palace recently?" Ye Chuanze's mouth twitched as he spoke. He thought to himself that the Three Pure Ones were not so kind as to visit him; it turned out they were here to relay a message from Hongjun.
Upon hearing this, Primordial shot him an expressionless glance and coldly asked, "When did you say you last went to Purple Cloud Palace?"
"About... a hundred years ago?" Ye Chuanze hesitated before responding.
Primordial let out a disdainful snort and said, "Did not our Master ask you to visit him more often? Do you know how difficult it is to fulfill his orders?"
"…" Ye Chuanze remained silent.
After a brief pause, Ye Chuanze sincerely replied, "I think visiting Master once every hundred years is sufficient. I'm afraid that if I go too frequently, it might disturb his tranquility. Don't you think the same way?"
Sky-Connecting interjected with a narrow smile, "Brother Ye, we are different from you. You are Master's favorite little disciple; he cherishes you the most. You should spend more time with him."
Hearing this, Ye Chuanze silently turned to look at him and replied expressionlessly, "Sky-Connecting, I thought you understood me best. That place, Purple Cloud Palace... is truly dull."
"That's true," Sky-Connecting nodded in agreement.
Primordial coldly observed the two brothers who seemed to share a mutual understanding and snorted again. "Enough nonsense; let's go directly. Our Master is still waiting for us."
Ye Chuanze sighed in resignation and had no choice but to follow them to Purple Cloud Palace.
On the way to the Purple Cloud Palace in the Thirty-Three Heavens, Ye Chuanze couldn't help but ask, "Senior Brother, do you know why Master is looking for me?"
"Of course, there is something," Primordial replied.
"...Can you be more specific? What exactly is it?" Ye Chuanze asked, his expression twitching.
Primordial glanced at him and said matter-of-factly, "How would I know?"
"..." Ye Chuanze.
"When we get to the Purple Cloud Palace and see Master, just ask him directly," Primordial added.
Upon hearing this, Ye Chuanze cursed inwardly. If you don't know, just say you don't know; why act so mysterious? However, he didn't dare show any dissatisfaction on his face and said, "I guess that's all I can do."
When they arrived at the Purple Cloud Palace, Haotian was already waiting outside. Seeing them approach, he quickly came forward and said, "You have finally arrived! Come with me to see the Master; he has been waiting for you for a long time!"
Entering the inner hall of the Purple Cloud Palace, they saw a Daoist in a luxurious purple robe with three thousand silver strands cascading down. He sat with his eyes closed on a Lotus Platform. When he sensed someone approaching, he slightly opened his eyes. His gaze was deep and cold like the dark night, instantly filling the room with an unparalleled elegance and unmatched demeanor.
Hongjun slightly parted his lips, his voice cool and gentle as he said, "You have arrived."
