On that sunny weekend morning, Mo Yanyu and Xingxing planned a special countryside hike. They intended to go to a natural reserve in the suburbs, where there were dense trees, clear streams, and colorful wildflowers. For Xingxing, who loved exploring and nature, this was a long-awaited adventure.
Early in the morning, Mo Yanyu began preparing the equipment needed for the hike. He carefully checked everything to ensure that no essential items were overlooked. Backpack, water bottle, snacks, first aid kit, sunscreen, and even a small telescope were all neatly arranged by him. His movements were nimble and methodical, and every detail showed his rigor and meticulousness as an engineering student.
The stars were excitedly jumping around on the side, her eyes sparkling with anticipation, and her little mouth kept asking, "Uncle Mo, when are we leaving? Will we see the little rabbits? And can I bring my drawing board to paint?"
Mo Yanyu smiled and replied, "We'll be leaving soon, Star. Remember to wear comfortable shoes and a hat. As for the little rabbits, if we're lucky, we might encounter them in the forest. I've already put your drawing board in the backpack. You can paint many beautiful sceneries when we get there." His voice was gentle, and his eyes were filled with patience and affection.
After hearing this, Star became even more excited. She quickly put on her little sneakers and a cute sun hat, then ran back to stand next to Mo Yanyu, her face full of anticipation. "Uncle Mo, I'm ready! Can we leave now?"
Mo Yanyu checked all the equipment, confirmed everything was ready, nodded, and reached out for Star to hold her hand. "Alright, Star, let's go! Today will be a wonderful day."
They traveled by car, shuttling along the road leading to the outskirts. As the vehicle advanced, the scenery outside the car window gradually changed from the tall buildings of the city to the tranquil green fields of the countryside. Star's eyes curiously stared outside the window, seeing the sights she couldn't normally see in the city, occasionally exclaiming, "Wow, Uncle Mo, the outside world is so big!"
Upon reaching the nature reserve, Mo Yanyu and Star began their hiking journey. Mo Yanyu carried a backpack filled with equipment, holding Star's hand as they slowly walked along the forest path. The air here was fresh, and the surroundings were filled with natural sounds: birds singing, the rustling of leaves, and the faint movements of small animals in the distance.
"Uncle Mo, what kind of flower is that?" Star pointed curiously at a wildflower by the roadside and asked.
"That's a wild chrysanthemum. They are very common here and sometimes can be used to make tea," Mo Yanyu replied, his voice filled with warmth and patience.
They stopped to rest on a wide grassland, and Mo Yanyu took out a canvas mat from the backpack and laid it on the ground. Then, he took out some prepared snacks and fruit juice. Excitedly, Xingxing sat on the mat and began to taste the lunch that Mo Yanyu had carefully prepared for her.
"Uncle Mo, this sandwich is really delicious!" Xingxing said happily as she ate.

Mo Yanyu squatted by the stream, carefully scooping up some water to let Xingxing observe the small fish and colorful pebbles in the stream. "Xingxing, look at these pebbles, each one has a unique color and shape," he said, his eyes filled with love and patience.
Xingxing's eyes sparkled with curiosity as she picked up a few beautiful pebbles and asked excitedly, "Uncle Mo, can we take them home as souvenirs?"
"Of course, Star. This will be a part of our beautiful memories," Mo Yanyu answered, his voice warm and full of love.
The day of the hike quickly passed. On the way home, Star leaned on Mo Yanyu's shoulder, dozing off slightly. There was a satisfied and happy smile on her face, and she tightly held the small stone she had picked in her hand.

"Little Star answered with her innocent and pure childlike voice, 'There are little rabbits, and many, many little birds. The little rabbits have very long, adorable ears. The birds sing so beautifully, like music.'
Another girl named Little Flower asked, 'Little Star, are you scared? Is the forest very dark and scary?'"
The stars shook their heads and said with a smile, "No way, because Uncle Mo has always been by my side. We were still playing by the stream, the water was cool and comfortable, and there were many beautiful stones."
The children listened intently, deeply drawn in by the star's story, their faces showing envy. The star's words were full of curiosity about nature and a love for adventure. Her experiences made the other children envious, and they all expressed a desire to go on a forest adventure with their parents.
"Star, can we go to the forest together next time?" asked Xiao Ming excitedly.
"Of course! I can also take you to see the super beautiful stream I found!" Star replied happily.
Mo Yanyu was busy in the office, but he kept thinking about how Star was doing in the kindergarten. This field trip was an unforgettable experience for Star and an important part of her growth. He smiled, knowing that Star's happiness was his greatest joy.
That afternoon, when Mo Yanyu arrived at the kindergarten to pick up Star, he found her happily playing with other children. The kids formed a circle, with Star standing in the middle, enthusiastically telling her adventure story. Her face was filled with excitement and joy, while the other children listened with envy.
Upon seeing Uncle Mo coming to pick her up, Xingxing immediately stopped talking and ran excitedly to hold Mo Yanyu's hand tightly. Her eyes sparkled with excitement as she kept recounting the happy time she had at kindergarten today.
" Uncle Mo, today I told everyone about our field trip, and they all said they were so jealous of me!" Xingxing's face was full of pride as she chattered on and on.
Mo Yanyu gently rubbed her head and a gentle smile appeared on his face: "Xingxing, it's great to be able to share your happiness with friends, that's important. Your friends must also want to have such adventures."
Xingxing nodded, her face filled with happiness: "Yes, they said they want to go to the forest next time too. Uncle Mo, will we go on another forest adventure?"
Mo Yanyu looked pensive, then answered earnestly, "Of course, we will, Star. As long as you like it, we will go many more times. Every adventure, we can learn new things and see different scenery."
Hand in hand, they walked out of the kindergarten and set off for home. Mo Yanyu was filled with warmth and pride. Watching Star grow up so happily and sharing her joyful moments with friends, he knew that these simple and happy times were precious memories cherished by both him and Star. For Mo Yanyu, this was not only about accompanying Star, but also an important step in her personality development and social skills cultivation.
