Star Dragon God
“Dad, now that I have a body, I plan to set off. Do you have any recent information about him?” The fist-sized Ice jumped onto the shoulder of a young man.
This young man was Lu Hui's choice, named Zhang Xiang. He was at the Ninth Level of Connection, with an unremarkable appearance but a gentle demeanor. He wore a simple green robe and held a common folding fan; at first glance, he looked like an ordinary scholar, someone who wouldn’t attract much attention from powerful families. Now, like Mu Xue, he was under Ice's control through a soul-binding secret technique.
Lu Hui said to Ice, “Zhan Er, based on the route that kid took to escape last time, along with Rofu by his side, it’s very likely he has gone to the Free Alliance.”
Knowing Huo Feng's whereabouts, Ice signaled Zhang Xiang to prepare to leave. Lu Hui suddenly called out to Ice, saying, “Zhan Er, this time you must not be too hasty. Do not venture too deep into the Free Alliance, especially in Pharmacy City. Their leader might be against my existence along with those two Bastards.”
“Dad, don’t worry. I won’t act impulsively. We still need to reunite as a family,” Ice replied before disappearing into Zhang Xiang's Narcissistic Ring. After that, Zhang Xiang quickly left the Underworld Palace, heading towards the Free Alliance.

Huo Feng headed straight for Treeheart City. Along the way, he stopped at various towns and villages to inquire about information but found nothing. He continued on without pause.
Gradually, Huo Feng noticed significant changes in the scenery as he traveled. He observed that everywhere he passed, the vegetation was unusually lush and vibrant. Checking his map confirmed his suspicion; seeing such changes indicated he was not far from Treeheart City. Looking at the map again, he realized there was only one mountain separating him from it, and at the foot of that mountain lay a town called “Wanmuzhen.”
The map labeled this mountain range as “Wanmu Mountain,” but it did not provide any details about it. Having never heard anything about it before, Huo Feng entered the Wanmu Mountain directly.
As he walked hundreds of miles into Wanmu Mountain, Huo Feng found it didn’t seem frightening at all since he hadn’t encountered any magical beasts. Even when he did come across some low-level magical beasts, they didn’t dare approach him.
However, one thing caught Huo Feng's attention: he noticed that the trees in Wanmu Mountain were even more lush. There were towering trees thick enough for four or five people to embrace; they blocked out sunlight completely, making the area extremely dark and cold. The ground emitted a rich earthy smell; in places where the trees were so dense that walking became difficult, there was an overwhelming stench of decaying leaves and branches.
The deeper Huo Feng went, the stranger it felt. Logically speaking, such places should be suitable for magical beasts to thrive, yet he sensed very few magical beast presences. At this point, he was nearing the center of Wanmu Mountain, where the trees grew even denser. If a battle were to occur here, his own strength would be greatly limited since even a slight increase in speed could lead him crashing into these massive trees.
What Huo Feng didn’t know was that although there were some magical beasts here, there was one particular type that thrived abundantly. They preferred meat and thrived because few people ventured here; most magical beasts had been consumed by them. The remaining magical beasts survived either due to special survival methods or because these creatures disliked their taste.
This type of magical beast only existed here; people from Wanmuzhen referred to it as “Heart-Eating Silkworms.” These “Heart-Eating Silkworms” had individual strengths only at the first or second level of the Earth Vein Realm. They usually resided within these large trees, feeding on their sap. Once they detected prey, they would communicate with each other through the trees and local ley lines to estimate their prey's strength and determine how many of them would share in consuming it based on that strength.
Previously, they usually devoured their prey before it could reach this central area, leaving nothing behind. However, this time, Huo Feng and the others followed closely, clinging to the large tree. Upon reaching the center, they were still communicating and gathering numbers.
At this moment, Huo Feng sensed that something was amiss, but he couldn't pinpoint what was wrong. After arriving at the center, Huo Feng even stopped to carefully investigate but found no powerful magical beasts or anything unusual. He could only proceed cautiously.
When Huo Feng walked from the center to within several dozen kilometers of Wanmuzhen, a disturbance finally occurred. Huo Feng suddenly heard a continuous, piercing low growl. His head felt heavy, and he immediately used Origin Force to protect his ears, allowing only faint sounds to reach him.
At this point, Huo Feng realized that the sound was not coming from a single entity; it surrounded him from all directions as if countless mysterious beings had encircled him.
Huo Feng suddenly discovered that he was indeed surrounded. Everything around him was a blinding white. He saw round white flesh worms encircling him. These plump worms were about forty to fifty centimeters long, stacked in layers to form a circle over three meters high. Moreover, countless similar white worms clung to the large tree above.
Huo Feng recognized these as magical beasts from the first or second level of the Earth Vein Realm but never expected to be surrounded by thousands of them upon their appearance. He had never seen or heard of such creatures before. The sudden emergence of so many that dared to encircle him surely indicated they had some backing, so he did not dare act recklessly.
At that moment, the Heart-Eating Silkworms suddenly understood something and surged toward Huo Feng simultaneously. Uncertain of their abilities and with them charging at him, Huo Feng did not dare be careless and quickly waved his hands around.
"Star Blade!"
Huo Feng faced outward and unleashed four palms in quick succession. Instantly, countless silver-white Starlight Blades shot out in all directions from Huo Feng's position. The Starlight Blades flew toward the surrounding Heart-Eating Silkworms.
The Starlight Blades effortlessly pierced through nearly half of the Heart-Eating Silkworms' bodies, causing white and green fluids to spray everywhere as those pierced Heart-Eating Silkworms were completely destroyed.
Huo Feng thought to himself, could these creatures really lack strength? If so, this would be quite easy. He sighed in relief and prepared to continue moving forward while using Star Blade to clear his path.
However, just as Huo Feng lifted his foot to advance, another change occurred. The fluids that fell to the ground began to writhe and eventually transformed into an equal number of Heart-Eating Silkworms as before, though each was only half their previous size.
Huo Feng couldn't help but frown; didn't this mean that these Heart-Eating Silkworms were immortal? And it wasn't over yet; he suddenly heard an even louder screech followed by a powerful aura approaching him—an aura definitely at the intermediate level of Oblivion Tempest.
Sure enough, a much larger Heart-Eating Silkworm appeared not far in front of Huo Feng. Its size was equivalent to what ten people could embrace together; meanwhile, those relatively smaller Heart-Eating Silkworms quickly crawled toward this giant and pressed tightly against its body.
In an instant, those smaller silkworms began merging into the larger body, transforming into a massive Heart-Eating Silkworm that was now twice its original size. To Huo Feng, it looked like a child gazing at an ant; its aura surged dramatically and instantly surpassed Huo Feng's own power.
Huo Feng was shocked, not expecting to suddenly encounter such an incredible situation. He quickly summoned Phantom Butterfly, who was also startled by the scene before her. As soon as she appeared, she said to Huo Feng, "Master, quickly merge with me and prepare to escape."
Huo Feng did not expect Phantom Butterfly, as the Blazing Flame Calamity, to immediately suggest fleeing. Not daring to waste time asking questions, he immediately positioned Phantom Butterfly behind him. Phantom Butterfly seemed to be racing against time and quickly merged with Huo Feng's body, then they swiftly flew towards Wanmuzhen.
The enormous Heart-Eating Silkworm, upon seeing Huo Feng summon the powerful Phantom Butterfly, seemed even more pleased. Its massive white body whipped its tail back, producing several loud thuds as the trees in its path fell down, clearing a road for it. It then quickly twisted its body and chased after Huo Feng and Phantom Butterfly, breaking trees in its wake.
Huo Feng did not expect the Heart-Eating Silkworm to be so formidable; instead, Phantom Butterfly was restricted in her flight here. It seemed that it wouldn't be long before they were caught. Huo Feng hurriedly told Phantom Butterfly, "Quickly fly into the air."
Phantom Butterfly flapped her wings and rapidly ascended into the sky. The Heart-Eating Silkworm seemed to have realized their intention and continuously hurled the fallen trees towards Huo Feng. Fortunately, Phantom Butterfly was agile enough to avoid being harmed by those trees that were thicker than her body.
Finally, Phantom Butterfly took Huo Feng into the air. At that moment, Huo Feng looked down and was even more horrified; he discovered that wherever the Heart-Eating Silkworm passed, trees kept falling down, creating a path of destruction. Luckily, Phantom Butterfly had flown him into the sky; otherwise, they would have truly been unable to escape.
Huo Feng finally managed to catch his breath and asked Phantom Butterfly, "Do you know what that thing is?"
"I don't know. It looks like I should have evolved from a creature similar to it. Logically speaking, it shouldn't be able to defeat me, but this Fellow has a special ability and is not afraid of me."
Phantom Butterfly had never seen such a creature either. At that moment, Seven Star Spirit suddenly spoke up: "Don't celebrate too early. This creature is called the Heart-Eating Silkworm. Its abilities are not limited to this; that large one is likely their king. As a king with special abilities, it can shoot out highly adhesive silk threads, so you must be careful."
