Star Dragon God
Huo Feng traveled for a long time and finally arrived at the border between the two kingdoms, at the foot of Cloud Mist Mountain. Huo Feng looked up towards the peak and saw that Cloud Mist Mountain towered into the clouds, shrouded in mist, with no summit in sight. The mountain stretched endlessly, with no end visible on either side.
Fortunately, Huo Feng had asked nearby villagers about the way here and learned that there was a tunnel leading to Azure Wind Kingdom. Otherwise, he would have had no easy way to reach Azure Wind Kingdom.
The villagers told him that no one had ever reached the peak to access Azure Wind Kingdom, and that at a height of a thousand meters on the mountain, there were magical beasts they could not handle, rumored to be at the Ninth Level of Connection. Even there, the summit remained out of sight.
After marveling for a moment, Huo Feng followed the route indicated by the villagers towards the tunnel.
Soon, Huo Feng arrived at the entrance of the tunnel. He discovered that it was not dark inside but rather brilliantly lit. Curious, Huo Feng stepped inside.
As he walked into the tunnel, Huo Feng realized that the brightness came from glowing orbs installed on both sides. This was a man-made structure designed for convenient travel between the two kingdoms. Thus, Huo Feng felt reassured and hurried along towards the exit.
Despite having a tunnel, it still took Huo Feng quite some time to reach the exit. He couldn't help but marvel at the vastness of Cloud Mist Mountain.
Upon exiting the tunnel, Huo Feng looked up and saw an endless green oasis stretching before him, filled with lush plants and numerous lakes.
In the center of the plain stood a large pine tree that seemed completely out of place in this scenery. Huo Feng noted how different this area was from Azure Wave Kingdom, which was characterized by towering mountains and forests.
Huo Feng looked around, hoping to find signs of human habitation. However, he was disappointed to find that such a vast plain showed no signs of life.
Unable to find any people, Huo Feng had no choice but to walk forward in this unfamiliar land.
After some time had passed, Huo Feng still could not see an end to the plain. If it weren't for the fact that he could no longer see the tunnel entrance behind him, he might have thought something strange was keeping him in place.
With no other options, Huo Feng continued walking forward. Meanwhile, his companions Bing and Phantom Butterfly were excitedly frolicking around him, occasionally bringing magical beasts over to Huo Feng. Most of these were snakes, but they could still enjoy some delicious roasted snake meat.
At this moment, Huo Feng found himself alone again; Bing and Phantom Butterfly seemed to have wandered off somewhere.
At noon under the blazing sun, Huo Feng rested under a large tree. He knew that Bing and the others were likely having fun at that moment.
Suddenly, Huo Feng sensed a terrifying aura and immediately stood up alertly. He focused carefully and discovered that this aura was coming from the west but was still quite far away, so he sat back down to rest.
However, shortly after, he sensed Bing's aura erupting from the same direction. Once again, Huo Feng stood up and quickly headed westward.
Soon, Huo Feng discovered the massive figure of Ice, and Phantom Butterfly was hovering beside it. However, when he saw the beast in front of them, Huo Feng was shocked.
It was a gigantic Wind Serpent. Its blue body stretched over ten meters long, with a pair of enormous blue wings flapping rapidly, keeping its massive form suspended in the air. Beneath it were swarms of snakes, much larger than those Ice had previously captured.
Huo Feng hurried to Ice's side and asked in their unique dragon communication method, "Ice, what's going on? Why are there so many snakes? And why have we attracted such a large one?"
Ice excitedly replied, "I didn't expect there to be a King Snake, the Wind Serpent, guarding this place. However, it's only at the Eighth Level of Human Pulse Realm; we are going to make a fortune. But its speed is incredibly fast; we must deal with it quickly, or I won't be able to catch up."
"Isn't it just the Beast Soul that's worth something? What can we earn?" Huo Feng thought Ice was just having fun in this environment.
"You don't understand. A high-level Wind Serpent from the Vein Realm is a treasure trove. Although this one is slightly weaker, its eyes and snake gallbladder are still rare treasures," Ice explained.
The Wind Serpent cautiously watched Ice, completely ignoring Huo Feng and Phantom Butterfly. Suddenly, it flicked its tail in the air with a sharp sound. Instantly, the dense swarm of snakes rushed towards Huo Feng and the others.
Huo Feng had never encountered such a scene before; countless snakes were charging at them. Excited by the situation, he raised his hand before Ice could act and pushed towards the group of snakes.
"Star Blade!"
Thousands of silver-white Starlight Blades flew towards them, and many of the leading snakes were struck by these blades, instantly sliced into pieces and falling to the ground.
The Snake King Wind Serpent felt a pang of distress upon seeing this; it flapped its wings and flew rapidly toward Huo Feng, swinging its tail to knock all the Starlight Blades away. At the same time, the Wind Serpent opened its mouth in anger and spat out a stream of green liquid at Huo Feng.
Huo Feng recognized that this was its venom and quickly dodged. As the venom splashed onto nearby plants, they immediately emitted thick smoke and were corroded away in an instant.
Seeing the rising smoke, Ice quickly pulled Huo Feng behind him and said, "Be careful of that smoke; inhaling it would be dangerous. Its snake gallbladder can purify your Origin Force's purity and enhance your understanding of Origin Force. If you take its eyes in the morning and squeeze out their juice to apply on your eyes, it will allow you to see through fog."
Huo Feng was astonished; he couldn't believe such a precious beast existed.
However, Ice continued, "It hasn't fully grown yet; otherwise, its skin could make excellent armor for defense. In our domain, encountering a Wind Serpent is rare because many people want to kill it. So let me handle this to prevent this treasure from escaping."
Hearing how valuable it was, Huo Feng didn't want to miss out either and nodded at Ice. He felt reassured about Ice taking action since it was indeed at the Vein Realm level.
While they were communicating, the Wind Serpent had already sent away the swarm of snakes and was now charging directly at Huo Feng and the others, its tongue flicking in agitation. Ice did not rush into action but quietly waited for it to come closer.
Filled with anticipation from Ice's description, Huo Feng focused intently on the approaching Wind Serpent, afraid that if he lost focus for even a moment, it might slip out of his sight.
Just as the Wind Serpent approached Ice, its long tail suddenly lashed out at Ice. This time, however, it did not strike; instead, it wrapped around Ice's massive waist. In an instant, a large portion of its body was ensnared by the Wind Serpent, which then opened its gaping mouth and lunged toward Ice's head.
At that moment, Ice erupted. The body of the Wind Serpent that was coiled around Ice began to loosen gradually, while Ice extended two claws to grip the upper and lower jaws of the Wind Serpent.
The Wind Serpent struggled desperately, realizing that it could not escape from Ice's claws, and no matter how hard it tried, it could not tighten its grip on Ice's body. Panic set in as it detached itself from Ice and thrashed about. However, the thick scales on Ice's body were impervious to its attacks.
Gradually, the Wind Serpent ceased its thrashing and quieted down. Seizing the opportunity, Ice freed one claw to grab at the Wind Serpent's abdomen.
At that moment, the Wind Serpent spat out a stream of green venom. At such close range, Ice had no choice but to let go and dodge. Seeing its chance, the Wind Serpent swung its head and attempted to escape.
Ice would not allow it to flee easily; despite a drop of venom splattering onto its shoulder's Dragon Scales, it reached out with a claw to grasp the Wind Serpent's tail. The Wind Serpent twisted wildly, hissing incessantly.
Immediately, Ice formed a large block of ice on its shoulder to freeze the drop of venom while simultaneously gripping the Wind Serpent's body without loosening its hold. The Wind Serpent thrashed even more violently at this point.
"Let go of the Serpent God, or we will fight you!"
Suddenly, shouts from a large group of people came from the direction of a towering tree. Huo Feng and the others immediately turned to look. They saw a crowd of people rushing toward them with spears in hand.
