As their claws collided, Ruo Xi and Bing were sent flying. Bing gasped for air while a layer of frost formed on Ruo Xi's body. The frost quickly melted away, revealing steam rising from her.
At that moment, Huo Feng cautiously flew between the two, looking helpless as he advised, "You only fought each other for the treasure at that time; there’s no deep-seated hatred between you. Why go to such lengths? Why not—"
Before Huo Feng could finish, he abruptly stopped. He noticed that Ruo Xi and Bing stood frozen in place. Ruo Xi's gaze was vacant, like a lifeless puppet. Bing also suddenly stabilized his breathing, standing still without moving.
Huo Feng felt even more perplexed. Had their previous clash severely injured both of them? But why did it not seem like they were showing any signs of injury?
While Huo Feng was lost in various speculations about them, suddenly two surges of Origin Force erupted that surpassed anything Huo Feng could have imagined. He felt a suffocating sensation, dizziness overwhelming him, making him feel unsteady. Huo Feng quickly used the last bit of clarity he had to control his body and land on the ground.
Upon touching the ground, Huo Feng immediately slumped down, gasping for breath. He realized that their terrifying pressure seemed to envelop the entire Purple Cloud Mountain.
After a few moments, Huo Feng finally began to adapt to this force while sitting on the ground. However, his forehead was still covered in beads of sweat. He struggled to stand up and looked up at Ruo Xi and Bing.
He saw that they maintained their previous stances, but the terrifying Origin Force continued to rage around them without harming them in the slightest.
Suddenly, Ruo Xi tilted her head back sharply, and Bing also threw back his head with a roar. The surrounding Origin Force suddenly converged around Ruo Xi and Bing.
In that moment, both the human and dragon's eyes sparkled with intensity as they looked at each other. Huo Feng's intuition warned him that something ominous was about to happen.
Huo Feng did not want to see them clash in such a state; he could not imagine what the outcome of such a fierce confrontation would be. Thus, resisting the pressure, he forcefully unleashed his Origin Force and shouted at them, "If you still consider me a friend, then stop this!"
At that moment, both the human and dragon shot him a glance before turning away again. However, Huo Feng caught a glimpse of something unusual in Ruo Xi's eyes; he chose to trust this feeling and decisively activated Meteoric Steps, taking four quick steps.
At that moment, Huo Feng felt a wave of relief wash over him. But for safety's sake, he did not hesitate to execute the final step.
Simultaneously, Huo Feng heard a thunderous explosion behind him. His heart skipped a beat as he turned around abruptly.
Huo Feng realized he could no longer see Ruo Xi or Bing; all he could see was an explosion centered around them, with continuous booming sounds echoing from all directions. As these explosions occurred, flames erupted around him, spreading outward. In an instant, the entire Purple Cloud Mountain was engulfed in flames; the mountain itself was no longer visible.
Huo Feng was completely stunned by the destructive power and shocked by why Ruo Xi and Bing would push themselves to such an extent.
Just then, several figures rushed toward him from behind. They were Huo Lianqing, Xuanran, and Nangong Yu.
They immediately spotted Huo Feng standing motionless and were particularly worried—especially Huo Lianqing—who suddenly increased her speed while calling out, "Feng'er!"
When they arrived beside Huo Feng, they found that he was fine, merely lost in thought as he stared at the flames that had erupted before him. At that moment, the three were also captivated by the scene and paid no attention to Huo Feng.
The fiery spectacle took a long time to subside, leaving only a haze of dust and smoke. The woman's curiosity was piqued, and she couldn't help but ask, "Huo Feng, what happened? Where is Ruo Xi?"
Nangong Yu asked as well, though his face still bore an expression of shock as he looked at the smoke before them.
After waiting for a while without hearing anything from Huo Feng, the three turned to look at him and saw that his expression was dim, his eyes fixed on the smoke without blinking.
Seeing Huo Feng like this, the three tactfully refrained from pressing further. However, Huo Lianqing's concern deepened.
Gradually, as the dust settled and the smoke dissipated, they saw two faint shadows.
Huo Feng suddenly dashed forward into the midst of them.
"Feng'er."
"Huo Feng."
The three hurriedly called out as they chased after him.
When they noticed Huo Feng had stopped between the two shadows, they quickly followed suit and halted beside him.
As they looked closely again, a chill ran down their spines. One of the shadows was Ruo Xi, standing there like a statue. The other was a massive beast, over three meters tall, with a light blue body and enormous sharp claws.
Though it too resembled a statue, the ancient and primal aura it exuded sent shivers down their spines, making them hesitant to move.
Huo Feng gazed dreamily at Ruo Xi and then at the ice creature. Suddenly, he cried out in despair, "Why? Why did you have to go this far? Why?"
With that, Huo Feng charged forward. At that moment, both the person and the dragon seemed to awaken from Huo Feng's voice; they opened their eyes simultaneously with a glimmer. Seeing Huo Feng rushing up, they eagerly moved towards him.
Noticing Ruo Xi's anxious expression, Ruo Xi called out, "Brother Feng."
The ice creature also made some sounds directed at Huo Feng.
Seeing them suddenly come to life brought joy to Huo Feng's heart. However, Huo Lianqing and the others were left confused and remained on guard against the ice creature, their bodies tensed in readiness.
As the ice creature approached Huo Feng, its body suddenly shrank down to the size of a palm, its aura retracting. The transformation from a colossal beast to an adorable form left Huo Lianqing stunned.
Xuanran and Nangong Yu were both speechless, realizing that this was the beast that had caused chaos in their Southern Mansion.
They saw the transformed ice pounce on Huo Feng, tightly gripping his clothes. Ruo Xi also approached Huo Feng with a smile, happily calling out, "Brother Feng."
The others nearby were so stunned that they forgot to think, standing like statues with blank expressions as they watched the unfolding scene.
At this moment, Huo Feng seemed to be chatting with Ruo Xi as if no one else was around, with only the ice occasionally calling out.
"Have you all regained your memories? Have your powers returned to Vein Realm Level One? You are at Vein Realm Level One?" Huo Feng was shocked, bombarding them with a series of questions. Huo Lianqing and the others beside him stared wide-eyed, their mouths slightly agape.
Upon hearing that Ruo Xi and the others had returned to Vein Realm, Huo Feng thought of the Spark of Chaos. After the spark disappeared, dust flew up and smoke filled the air. When the dust and smoke cleared, Huo Feng was even more astonished to find that Purple Cloud Mountain had vanished, leaving only a flat expanse of sandy ground.
Ruo Xi had tried her best to control the explosion's power to avoid harming each other. However, this only made it harder for Huo Feng to remain calm and suppress his desire for power.
"This is Vein Realm? This is the realm that no one in Azure Wave Kingdom has reached for countless years? It's terrifying enough to flatten Purple Cloud Mountain. If this is the highest realm of Seven Star Inheritance's grandfather, wouldn't it be capable of destroying everything?"
Thinking of this, Huo Feng felt his blood boil; he had never experienced such a desire for power before, making him feel invigorated. He gazed intently into the distance, seemingly more certain and determined about his path.
