Fatty seemed to have a point. After pondering for a moment, I said, "If all the drowning victims in the past were caused by the Water Monster, then they would have black fingerprints on them, just like this Zhou Zhixiong. But the previous corpses didn't have such fingerprints, right?" 0

Fatty was taken aback for a moment and stammered, "Maybe after being submerged for a long time, the black fingerprints would disappear. Or, the Water Monster doesn't necessarily have to drag hands and feet; it could also drag hair..." 0

While we debated, we retrieved our clothes. At this point, Zhou Zhixiong had already been supported away by Wen Xiaoxiao and others. Only Fatty and I remained by the ferry, with the setting sun casting golden rays on the River Noodles, shimmering with countless lights. 0

"Ghost Brother, what do you see over there?" Fatty squinted his eyes and pointed at the River Noodles. 0

Following his finger, I looked over and saw a silvery object rippling on the water's surface. 0

I squinted for a while and shook my head. "I can't see what it is." 0

However, Fatty shielded his eyes with his hand and stared for a long time before saying, "It looks quite exquisite, somewhat like those Lucky Lights we saw before." 0

If there are ten things in this world that I can believe without doubt, Fatty's eyesight would definitely rank among the top three. This guy can discern whether there’s one or two threads sticking out from a swimsuit model's thigh five meters away—some things require innate talent that others cannot replicate. 0

Given that Fatty said so, this silvery object was most likely a Lucky Light. 0

"Fatty, do you dare to go into the water and retrieve it?" I gestured towards the object with my chin. 0

"I don't dare!" Fatty replied decisively. 0

"Damn it! You say you don't dare so confidently; you're really shameless." 0

"I'm not stupid," Fatty scoffed at me. "Knowing there's a Water Monster down there, why would I foolishly jump in to die? Even if you buy me a hundred accident insurance policies, none of them cover being killed by a water ghost." 0

"Damn it! If you're going to go, then go; if not, stop talking about insurance." I laughed and scolded him. "If you decide to go, I can protect you with lightning!" 0

"Come on, if anything, the Water Monster might not have killed me, but your lightning could have struck it instead." Fatty looked completely unfazed, refusing to get into the water no matter what. 0

Honestly, I was just laughing along with Fatty. We weren't fish; fighting the Water Monster in the water would be a death sentence for us. Even though I could use the Lightning Spell, could it even work in water? Just like Fatty said, if anything, the Water Monster might not have killed me, but rather been electrocuted by its own lightning. 0

After pondering for a moment and glancing around to ensure no one was watching, I took out a bundle of Climbing Rope from the Mustard Seed Pendant. I tied dozens of knots at one end and haphazardly wove them into a net-like shape. Then I attached a beer bottle to the front. If I could throw this net over the Silver Object, I could pull it closer. 0

I weighed it in my hands, let out a strange yell, and tossed the rope with the beer bottle like a grenade. 0

With a splash, the beer bottle landed about a meter away from the silvery object. It seemed to have some force behind it. I hurriedly reeled in the rope and threw it again, but this time I overdid it and sent it more than three meters past the Silver Object. 0

"I'll do it!" Fatty stepped forward and snatched the rope from me, quickly pulling it back. After weighing the beer bottle, he shouted, "Yardie!" 0

A green arc flew through the air, and the beer bottle landed perfectly in front of the Silver Object. My woven net managed to ensnare it just right. 0

I was speechless; damn, some things really depend on talent. Fatty had so many unique traits about him; for instance, he could go for health treatment without suffering from kidney deficiency... 0

Fatty raised his eyebrows at me triumphantly and quickly pulled back the rope. Before long, he dragged the object to our feet. 0

"What is this junk?" Upon seeing the Silver Object, Fatty frowned in surprise. I stared at this silvery item in a daze as well. Its material resembled Lucky Light somewhat but was not shaped like Lucky Light's Round Can. It looked as if Lucky Light had been flattened by a brown bear's paw and then crumpled into a ball before being slapped flat again. 0

In short, this thing looked extremely odd; calling it trash would be an understatement. 0

The only distinguishing feature from garbage was that there was a dark red dot in the center of this strange object, flickering faintly between light and dark. It stood out against the irregular silver surface. Was this thing not metallic? How could it float on water without sinking? 0

I signaled for Fatty to step back while I crouched down and reached out my finger toward that red dot, sensing that it was crucial. Of course, my other hand was ready with a Spell; if this Silver Object showed any signs of danger, I'd unleash my lightning on it. 0

Instead of stepping back, Fatty leaned closer beside me as we both crouched down like curious kids staring at this thing. I couldn't be bothered with him and slowly touched my finger to the red dot. 0

Finally touching the red dot, there was no strange feeling at all; it felt like I was touching a red glass ball, smooth to the touch, and I couldn't help but rub it a bit. 0

With that one rub, I felt the silver-white object start to shake, as if I had activated a mechanism. In an instant, the irregular object began to transform, making crackling sounds as it morphed into a silver-white cylindrical shape, somewhat resembling a corn cob, except this corn didn't emit such a cold, gleaming light. 0

"What is this?" I quickly withdrew my hand and pointed in surprise at the still trembling elongated object, asking Fatty. 0

"It looks a bit like corn," Fatty said, equally dumbfounded. Anyone would be astonished to pull out a strange object from the water and watch it crackle and turn into a piece of corn. 0

"Then what does this shaking corn mean?" I frowned. 0

I focused on the elongated object, examining it closely. It resembled corn for good reason; the entire surface was dotted with many protruding circles, just like corn kernels. 0

"Could this be the Massage Stick mentioned in the legends?" Fatty suddenly laughed. 0

Hearing him say that made me look again and chuckle: "Yeah, it really does look somewhat like it." 0

Isn't this just a Massage Stick? With its corn cob-like shape and those large protrusions, the trembling stick... wow, have Massage Sticks become this advanced now? 0

"Clearly, this is a Massage Stick that can change shape at will. It can transform into a banana one moment, an eggplant the next, then into corn or bitter melon... there’s bound to be one that the owner likes," Fatty cackled as he picked up the Silver-White Object and played with it affectionately. "This is what you call technology that puts people first!" 0

While Fatty was playing with it, he must have accidentally touched some switch because several of the protruding particles suddenly popped out, one of which stood out prominently like a Metal Ball embedded in the surface. 0

Fatty let out a soft "oh," touched the Metal Ball with his finger, and leered as he said, "What function does this have? Is it for stimulating the G-Spot?" He continued to rub the Metal Ball. 0

I stood up and laughed, "Just throw it away; this thing might..." 0

Before I could finish my sentence, I fell silent in shock because I saw something splash in the distance on River Noodles. In the middle of that splash was a black hand swimming around. I couldn't help but shout, "Damn it, Fatty! Look at that black hand!" 0

Fatty trembled all over, hurriedly standing up while tightly gripping the Silver-White Object in his hand. Following the direction of my finger, he was shocked, "Damn, has this Water Monster gone crazy?" 0

As soon as Fatty stood up, the black hand stopped moving and floated motionless on the water's surface. 0

"Damn!" I looked around. Since this used to be a ferry area, the ground was made of Cement Floor, and I couldn't find any stones or anything similar. I noticed a Beer Bottle tied to a rope on the ground and had an idea. I took out a bottle of beer from my Mustard Seed Pendant and threw it at the black hand. 0

With a splash, the Beer Bottle landed about a foot away from the black hand and immediately sank, leaving only ripples that made the black hand sway on the water's surface. 0

"Is it dead?" Fatty exclaimed in surprise. He then picked up the Beer Bottle tied to the Rope from the ground and threw it along with the Rope again. The Beer Bottle accurately landed in front of the black hand, and the knotted net covered it perfectly. 0

"Ghost Brother, I'm ready!" Fatty casually tossed aside something in his hand and prepared to pull the rope while I had already formed a Spell. As soon as Fatty pulled the black hand onto the shore, I would strike with lightning. 0

Wait, I'm not in the water anymore, and there’s no one else in the water. Why should I wait for Fatty to pull it up before unleashing lightning? Can't I just strike with lightning directly? 0

Just as I was about to act, a clattering sound came from beside me; it was the Silver-White Object falling to the ground. With that sound, the black hand in the water surprisingly moved again, as if it were a big fish struggling in a net. However, this struggle didn't last long; after one or two seconds, the black hand stopped again, floating motionless on the water's surface. 0

My mind raced—could this Silver-White Object be a remote control? Thinking of this, I forgot about striking with lightning and picked up this object, extending my finger to fumble around on that Metal Ball. 0

Sure enough, as I fumbled around on the Metal Ball, the black hand began to thrash about again. Fatty shouted and let go of his grip, stepping back two paces while cursing, "Damn, this Water Monster is really crazy; it almost pulled me into the water... Hey, Ghost Brother, what are you doing? At a time like this, you're still in the mood to play with a Massage Stick?" 0
