The prison is not large, and its layout is similar to a three-bedroom apartment with a living room. The three bedrooms serve as the three cells, while the living room is the office of the prison guards. The doors to the cells are made of iron, each equipped with a viewing window. One of the cell doors is open, revealing a bed and a toilet inside. 0

There is an iron fence separating the living room from us, with each bar about the thickness of an arm. Inside, two people are playing chess, and beside them are two army cots, likely their resting places. Upon seeing someone enter, they both look up, and one of them, the Round-Faced Man, stands up and asks the Red-Clad Youth, "What did this person do? How long will he be locked up?" 0

The Red-Clad Youth replies calmly, "Suspected of colluding with outsiders; he will be executed once confirmed!" 0

The Round-Faced Man glances at me, his gaze cold as if looking at a dead man. "Tsk tsk, colluding with outsiders means certain death." 0

For a moment, I find myself at a loss for words. 0

In truth, I have no leverage; they already hold the power to decide my fate. If I resist? Fine, but are you sure you can withstand the fire from those four shotguns? 0

The Red-Clad Youth takes out a set of keys, unlocks the fence, pushes me inside, and slams the fence shut behind me. He then tells the Round-Faced Man, "If this prisoner shows any intent to escape, you can shoot him on the spot!" 0

The Round-Faced Man laughs heartily. "Understood!" 0

The Red-Clad Youth nods and waves his hand as four men file out. With a clang, the heavy iron door closes behind them, and their footsteps gradually fade away. 0

"Close the door yourself; I don't have time to deal with you right now!" The Round-Faced Man sits down to continue his chess game with the man across from him. I turn my gaze to that man and realize he has thick eyebrows and big eyes, looking quite rugged—somewhat resembling Xiao Feng from Dragon Eight Parts, specifically the Huang Rihua version. 0

"I haven't had the pleasure of knowing your names!" I say with a smile. 0

"I'll count to three; if you don't go in by then, I'll assume you intend to escape and shoot you on the spot." The Round-Faced Man casually opens his drawer and pulls out a revolver, pointing it at my head. With a bang, the gun fires; I instinctively duck my head as my body goes rigid with fear. 0

What the hell! You didn't even start counting before firing! Without time to complain, I hurriedly rush into the open cell and slam the iron door shut behind me with a loud clang. 0

"Ah hey, still got some spirit!" comes the Round-Faced Man's voice from outside. Then I hear footsteps approaching as a revolver barrel reaches through the viewing window. Realizing I'm in trouble, I quickly dash to the corner by the wall and press myself against it. 0

Bang bang bang bang! The Round-Faced Man fires four shots before retracting his gun and locking the iron door with a clang. He spits disdainfully and says, "Behave! I can kill you anytime!" 0

"Damn," I thought to myself, feeling a surge of anger. However, I had just seen that the main gate of this prison was opened by the Red-Clad Youth. Even if I killed these two, I wouldn't be able to escape. The Round-Faced Man and the Brawny Man were prison guards, but in some ways, they were almost like prisoners themselves. 0

Listening to the two outside starting a game of chess, I sat down on the bed, scratching my head and wondering what was going on. I had only made a joke with that Fatty; why did they take it seriously? 0

The Round-Faced Man outside was utterly inhumane, casually firing a gun like that. Was he not afraid of hurting me? Didn't they have something they needed me to do? 0

Ah, right, could this also be a test, like the retest that the Golden Glasses Man mentioned? 0

Thinking about this possibility made me feel much better. To verify my thoughts, I searched the room for a while and indeed found no bullet casings. Hmph, it was just blank ammunition; no wonder the Round-Faced Man could shoot at me without hesitation. 0

Whatever happens, I'll just take a break for now. 0

The two in the living room continued their chess game. I don't know how long it passed, but suddenly there was a clang as the iron door opened. Someone pushed the door open, and I leaned over to peek through the observation window. Outside were two women in purple clothes, each carrying several lunch boxes—presumably here to deliver food. 0

The Round-Faced Man joked with the women in purple for a moment, but they didn't respond; they simply smiled and placed the lunch boxes down before turning to leave. 0

With a loud bang from the iron door closing, the Round-Faced Man's expression darkened instantly. He casually picked up one of the lunch boxes and shoved it through my observation window while cursing, "Come over and take this. Damn it, I still have to serve you your meal!" 0

As I reached out to grab the lunch box, I caught sight of the Round-Faced Man winking at me. 0

What does that mean? I looked at him in surprise. 0

The Round-Faced Man shifted his body slightly to block the view of the Brawny Man behind him and whispered very softly, "Call for help at three o'clock tonight; we'll escape together." 0

Then he tossed the lunch box at me, splattering soup all over me. 0

"You..." I exclaimed angrily. 0

"What about me? If you keep whining, I'll kill you!" The Round-Faced Man immediately pulled out his gun and loaded it with real bullets this time instead of blanks. 0

"Aqua, forget it!" The Brawny Man rushed over to dissuade the Round-Faced Man. 0

"Today, I'll give Brother Qian a favor. Next time, I'll just kill you." The Round-Faced Man spat and walked back. 0

I stood there in a daze, my mind racing with chaotic thoughts. Did I really not hear him wrong? What did he mean by telling me to call for help at three o'clock tonight? What did he mean by breaking out together? 0

Isn't this just a test? What exactly are they testing me for? 0

I took out a tissue and wiped the soup off my body. Looking at the time, it was exactly 6 PM Beijing time. I could only comfort myself that I would deal with it later. 0

I set an alarm on my phone, lay down on the bed with my hands under my head, and various questions swirled in my mind. Occasionally, I would doze off, only to be startled awake by bizarre dreams. I tossed and turned until 1 AM before finally falling into a confused sleep. 0

Just as I fell asleep, the alarm went off, and I was furious with nowhere to vent. Remembering the Round-Faced Man's reminder, I couldn't think of anything else and shouted, "Help! Help!" 0

There was a sound of footsteps outside, followed by the clanking of a lock being opened. The Brawny Man and Brother Qian rushed in. 0

"What are you shouting for!" Aqua pulled out a gun and pointed it at me angrily. At that moment when Aqua drew his gun, Brother Qian showed a moment of vigilance, seemingly wary of Aqua. 0

I squinted at the two of them, only able to hoarsely shout for help while rolling on the bed, holding my stomach. Since I was already calling for help, there should be corresponding actions to match it. 0

Brother Qian reached out and grabbed my pulse, frowning slightly: "Huh, the pulse doesn't seem..." 0

Before he could finish his sentence, there was a loud bang as Aqua shot Brother Qian in the head. Watching Brother Qian fall onto me covered in blood, I couldn't help but widen my eyes at Aqua. Damn, isn't this just a test? They shot someone in the head during a test? Can this even be salvaged? 0

"Don't worry; I often shoot at midnight; no one will suspect anything!" Aqua sneered and lifted Brother Qian's body, shooting him again in the temple. 0

At this point, I was even more certain that what was happening before me was definitely not a joke because Brother Qian's blood had splattered onto my face, sticky and disgusting. 0

I sat up and pushed Brother Qian's corpse away, then jumped to the floor and wiped my face with the bedsheet: "What do you mean by doing this?" 0

"We're breaking out together; do you think I'm joking with you? Alright, we're getting ready to escape!" Aqua said casually. 0

"But you don't have the key; how are we supposed to get out?" I pointed at the iron bars and the large iron door outside. 0

"Don't worry about this. How could a mere iron lock trap me, the Master Butcher? If I hadn't been lacking a partner all along, I would have escaped long ago," Aqua said with a cold laugh. 0

"Lacking a partner? Aren't there two people locked up next to us?" I pointed in confusion at the other two cells. 0

"They're empty inside. Didn't you notice that the doors aren't even locked?" Aqua shrugged and beckoned me to the living room. He unbuckled his belt and pulled out a thin iron wire, twisting it a few times before jamming it into the keyhole of the massive lock on the iron bars. 0

A few seconds later, with a click, the huge lock was opened. I couldn't help but exclaim in admiration; he truly had specialized skills. Then I pointed at the large iron door outside and asked, "But the lock on that big iron door is on the outside. How do you plan to open it?" 0

"That's why I need two people to cooperate!" Aqua pushed open the iron bars and pulled out several one-meter-long pieces of thin wire from his belt. He connected them end to end to form two nearly three-meter-long wires, bending the front end of one into a hook shape. He walked to the iron door, took one of the wires, and carefully extended it through the gap at the top of the door until it hung down to the ground. 0

At this point, Aqua instructed me to hold onto the wire above while he twisted another piece of wire together with the original thin wire key, securing it before extending it through the gap at the bottom of the door. Once both hooks were connected, Aqua said, "Pull up slowly!" 0

I complied and began to pull up the wire slowly. Halfway through, Aqua called for me to stop, exchanged wires with me, and took hold of the wire above while instructing me to move left or right as needed... Finally, I sensed that the key secured by both long wires had inserted itself into the lock on the outside. 0

Damn, this guy really lives up to his title as Master Butcher; he can think of a way even in this situation. 0

Once the key was inserted into the lock, Aqua told me not to move while he closed his eyes to feel for any feedback from the thin wire. His fingers trembled slightly on the wire, and I instinctively held my breath beside him, afraid that even a single breath would disturb him. 0
