Is that Fatty on my shoulder? My mind raced as I quickly reached out and managed to grab a piece of clothing, pulling it towards me. I felt a soft shoulder and a fleshy chest muscle; it must be Fatty without a doubt. 0

“Fatty? Fatty?” I called out loudly. 0

Fatty remained silent, but he did hum a few sounds in response. 0

I reached over to touch Fatty's head. This is the eye, this is the nose, this is the mouth—wait, there seems to be something cold pressed against his mouth. I pinched it; it was soft and felt somewhat like latex. When I squeezed it a couple of times, that thing actually moved. 0

Fatty reached out and grabbed my hand, writing three words on the back of my hand: Pull together! 0

It seemed that this thing had sealed Fatty's mouth. After a moment of thought, I said, “Fatty, you hold onto my shoulder while I grab this thing, and then we both pull back with force.” 0

Fatty responded with an affirmative sound, and we both exerted force together. The object near Fatty's mouth was pulled slightly away. However, since we were both treading water, exerting force caused us to lose our footing and we sank down. 0

“Flashlight!” Fatty managed to utter three words through the gap we had created, followed by the sound of him gulping water. 0

Right! Isn’t there a flashlight in the Spatial Bag? With the flashlight, I would know what this thing was. I released the latex object, pushed down with my feet, and floated back up to the surface. I took out the flashlight from the Spatial Bag, grabbed Fatty's shoulder, turned on the flashlight, and shone it on his face. As I saw Fatty's face, I gasped in shock. 0

There was a strange creature clinging to Fatty's mouth that I had never seen before. At first glance, it looked somewhat like an octopus, but it only had four tentacles and was completely transparent with a hint of orange. It resembled a large piece of jelly, trembling on Fatty's face while its four legs extended back to grip tightly onto the base of Fatty's skull. 0

Due to the bright light from the flashlight shining on him, Fatty could only keep his eyes closed and made muffled sounds. One hand was moving underwater to maintain his balance while the other hand was frantically tugging at the creature's tentacles behind his head. The more forcefully Fatty pulled, the tighter the tentacles gripped him; I could even see blood starting to seep from several spots on his face, yet Fatty seemed oblivious and continued to struggle. 0

“Don't move!” I shouted as I took out a dagger from the Spatial Bag. Balancing with one hand holding the flashlight and the other holding the knife while treading water made me wobble unsteadily. In one moment of miscalculation, my knife accidentally poked Fatty's face. Although I didn’t apply much force, the sharp dagger still drew blood from him. 0

Fatty's face contorted in pain; I could swear that if he could speak right now, he would curse my entire family. 0

Ignoring him, I pulled back the knife and poked at the 'jelly'. It felt quite resilient; stabbing it was like poking a car tire. Fortunately, this thing did react to sharp objects; when I stabbed it once, it twitched slightly. 0

Seeing this reaction made me realize what to do next. I raised my military knife and began stabbing wildly. After about seven or eight stabs, the 'jelly' trembled violently and fell off Fatty's face into the water. As my flashlight shone downwards, I saw that the water was faintly blue; the orange 'jelly' wobbled for a moment on the surface before quickly sinking down and disappearing in an instant. 0

Fatty spat out some water and hoarsely said, “Ghost Brother, remember this! You ruined my looks; this grudge is serious! Let me tell you—I will not let this go!” 0

“Come on now! Ruined your looks? With your appearance, even pouring acid on your face would raise questions about beauty! And not letting it go? We can’t even see land right now; what are you talking about?” I replied casually while scanning around with my flashlight. 0

About seven or eight meters above us was a green stone wall with no holes in sight; I had no idea how we had fallen down here. The flashlight swept around but revealed nothing but darkness; after all, this type of flashlight can illuminate up to two hundred meters away. Damn it! If we can't find land soon, our fate will be sealed—we'll drown from exhaustion. 0

He took out a flashlight and handed it to Fatty. The two of us played rock-paper-scissors three times, and I lost twice. Fatty pointed to my left: "Let's swim in that direction!" 0

This is how Fatty and I operate; we decide important matters in such a high-end way. What matters? Damn, there’s nothing trivial in our lives; everything is significant. 0

We both took off our shoes and clothes, putting them into my Spatial Bag. Since we didn’t know how far we had to swim, we wanted to minimize any excess items on us. Originally, Fatty even took off his underwear, but I said, "Aren't you afraid of monster fish or strange snakes lurking in the water?" Fatty immediately turned pale and put his underwear back on. 0

We took turns shining the flashlight to the left as we swam. To prevent exhaustion, we floated on our backs for a rest every five minutes. The degree to which one can float depends on lung capacity; the more air stored in the lungs, the easier it is to float and rest. For someone like us who can smoke half a cigarette in one breath, lying back on the water was effortless. 0

After swimming for about half an hour, Fatty held up the flashlight and called out to me, "Ghost Brother, look! Isn’t that land over there?" 0

I turned on my flashlight and adjusted it to high beam, shaking it towards where Fatty was pointing. About two hundred meters away, I saw a vague shadow—yes, that was land! I felt a surge of excitement; I wouldn’t drown after all. 0

With a target in sight, our motivation surged. We swam for another seven or eight minutes, getting closer to the dark shape. When we were about twenty meters away, we stopped to shine the flashlight again and could see the rocky shore. My mind was focused on one thought: get ashore and rest properly. 0

With determination, I increased my speed significantly. Behind me came Fatty's shouts: "Damn it, wait for me! Why are you swimming so fast? Is there meat ahead?" 0

I couldn’t be bothered with him; my speed only increased further. His larger size meant more resistance—why should I care? Before long, I reached the shore. The place where I climbed out was extremely steep—almost a vertical cliff—over a meter high from the water surface, resembling a swimming pool. I climbed up and sat down, gasping for breath. 0

The sound of splashing suddenly grew louder; it seemed Fatty was starting to push himself harder—only someone of his size could make such a loud splash. 0

I chuckled and waved the flashlight around; seeing Fatty gritting his teeth and working hard would undoubtedly add some fun to this dark and oppressive underground world. In life, one must learn to find joy—even in the harshest environments. 0

Unfortunately, my little gesture didn’t bring any joy; instead, it sent chills down my spine. A black fin broke through the water's surface in the distance, rapidly approaching us—the huge splash sound came from there. 0

"Fatty! Swim!" I shouted sharply, my voice rising with tension. 0

Seeing this, Fatty couldn’t help but glance back. The beam of his flashlight flickered across the water's surface before he turned around with an ashen face and swam toward me with all his might. 0

"Don't rush! Don't rush!" I shone the flashlight at that black fin while calculating in my mind. Fatty was only five or six meters from the shore while that black fin was still at least fifty meters away. Even if it swam incredibly fast, Fatty could definitely reach land before it caught up. At this moment, I couldn’t urge Fatty; if he panicked and cramped up, it would be troublesome. 0

Fifty meters... forty meters... thirty meters... twenty meters—the black fin was closing in rapidly. 0

Fatty was now just a meter from the shore. I leaned forward with my hand outstretched, ready to pull him out of the water as soon as he reached me. 0

Fatty reached out toward me. Just ten centimeters away from my hand, he suddenly let out a sharp scream; his face turned pale as he began convulsing. He pulled his hand back and hugged his legs while shouting, "Cramps!" 0

Damn it! Just when you’re scared of something happening—it happens! You cramp up now? 0

Fatty began to sink. I reached into the Spatial Bag and pulled out an iron pickaxe, which I casually tossed aside. Digging again, this time I pulled out a pair of Pants. The length seemed fine, so I grabbed one leg and gave it a strong flick, causing the other leg of the Pants to slap against Fatty's face. 0

"Grab it!" I tightly held onto one leg of the pants. 0

Fatty's face twisted as he gritted his teeth and grabbed the pants leg. I yanked hard. 0

"Rip!" 0

The Pants tore apart into two pieces. 0

Suddenly losing my balance, I stumbled back several steps and fell onto the ground. Fortunately, even though the Pants had ripped, Fatty still bore a lot of the force and lunged forward. I saw his hand already reaching for the shore. 0

In that moment of delay, the black fin was only five or six meters away from us. With a splash, a massive body emerged. Instinctively, I shone my flashlight at it. This creature was about the size of an adult cow, with a Serpent-Headed Fish-Body, six legs on its abdomen, and covered in black scales. The snake head was as large as a Basin, with an eye the size of an egg on its forehead. 0

The single eye on the snake head blinked and suddenly emitted a vicious glare. With a splash, the Serpent-Headed Fish-Body monster opened its mouth wide, revealing two rows of sharp teeth inside. Its entire body leaped into the air and lunged at Fatty. 0

At that moment, Fatty's legs were completely cramped and he couldn't exert any strength. It was already difficult for him to hang onto the shore; with the Monster Fish lunging at him, he was undoubtedly doomed. Watching the rapidly enlarging monster in mid-air, I cursed under my breath, keeping my flashlight trained on the Monster Fish's eyes. I stood up, took a few steps back to gain momentum, and leaped forward, kicking towards the monster's forehead. 0
