Chapter 5 A Smile from the Seat
No wonder those people couldn't find the old man; who would have thought that a Beggar Old Man was currently sitting peacefully in a tavern, drinking with someone?
Xiao Yun sat across the table from the old man, and the table was filled with wine and dishes.
Looking at the table full of food and drink, Xiao Yun's face was filled with worry. He was already broke; how would he settle the bill after finishing the meal?
The old man said, "Don't worry, this meal is on me."
Xiao Yun asked skeptically, "Where did you get the money?"
The old man replied, "I got it from the hospital."
Xiao Yun was taken aback. "You, a beggar, how could you get money from the hospital?"
"Fool!" The old man expressed his disdain for Xiao Yun's intelligence. "Did you forget that you advanced over a thousand yuan for me at the hospital? Since I'm fine now, of course I need to get that money back—however, let me give you a disclaimer: this money is what you voluntarily spent on me, and now that I've gotten it back, does that count as mine?"
"Well..." Xiao Yun was truly speechless by the old man's twisted logic.
The old man laughed heartily and asked, "Now that I can spend this much money to treat you, don't you think I'm good to you?"
"Yes, you're good..." Xiao Yun was so angry he had nothing more to say to him.
The old man said, "At least you know what's good and bad. Well, let's have a toast!"
In less than half an hour, three bottles of strong liquor and half of the dishes were all consumed by the old man, and he showed no signs of being affected at all. This left Xiao Yun in awe; not only could this old fellow eat, but his drinking capacity was astonishing as well.
"Uh-oh, trouble is coming!" Suddenly, the old man frowned.
Xiao Yun looked around but saw nothing unusual and asked, "What trouble?"
The old man replied, "A beautiful woman is coming up from downstairs. If she spots me, it will be a big problem!"
"Pfft!" Xiao Yun couldn't help but laugh out loud. "A beautiful woman? How did you see that?"
The old man retorted angrily, "I sensed it with my Spiritual Sense. I can see people from miles away—no point in explaining it to you; you wouldn't understand."

This old man was indeed mysterious, but his mind was definitely not right.
Xiao Yun didn't want to bother with him anymore.
"Why aren't you eating? Hurry up! We need to leave before that beautiful woman arrives!" The old man suddenly urged Xiao Yun.

Her long hair cascaded over her shoulders, and her bright eyes sparkled like flowing spring water. Her appearance was like a crescent moon rising, instantly brightening the entire restaurant.
All eyes were drawn to the young woman, captivated by her stunning beauty.
However, she did not glance away, her gaze fixed intently on the old man.

They all thought she was smiling at them!
Xiao Yun was almost about to bleed from his nose!
He didn't know what was going on, but when the old man saw the girl, his expression suddenly changed. He discreetly kicked Xiao Yun and whispered, "Look, trouble is coming. We need to get away from this crazy girl!"
Xiao Yun seemed not to hear him, staring intently at the beauty and murmuring dreamily, "Old man, I didn't expect you to have such a beautiful granddaughter!"
The old man became a bit anxious and warned him quietly, "You brat, can't you control yourself? You can't touch that girl; otherwise, your life will be over!"
"Come on, you have a beautiful granddaughter too. You can't keep her away from men for her whole life!" Xiao Yun replied softly.
"Grandpa," the girl floated towards the old man like a butterfly, "I've been looking for you everywhere. Now I want to see where you can run!" Her tone suggested that her grandfather had been playing hide and seek with her.
Xiao Yun wished he could step in for her grandfather and give her an intimate hug.
"Run!" The old man was probably really anxious now. He jumped up from the table and grabbed Xiao Yun's arm.
Xiao Yun looked confused. "Where to?" He noticed two men in black blocking the staircase.
The old man said, "Jump out the window!" He didn't bother to respond to the girl and directly pulled Xiao Yun toward the window.
Xiao Yun didn't understand why the old man was so scared of that girl. He opened the window and looked down; they were on the seventh floor. Jumping down would surely result in a terrible fall.
"Hey, Grandpa, what are you doing?" The girl panicked when she saw her grandfather leaving the table.
"Don't come over here! If you do, old man, I'm going to jump!" The old man pointed out the window and shouted at the girl.
The girl replied, "Grandpa, please don't do that. Dad has been wanting to talk to you properly!"
The old man retorted, "I don't have a dad like yours!"
The girl asked, "Why are you being like this?"
The old man warned, "If you don't leave, I really will jump!"
"You won't jump. This is the seventh floor!" The girl laughed like a little fairy and suddenly shouted to everyone in the restaurant, "Whoever can help me catch Grandpa, I'll reward them two hundred thousand!"
Two hundred thousand? That amount was definitely tempting, especially coming from a beautiful woman!
As if raising a flag for troops, everyone in the restaurant instantly stood up, their faces fierce as they quickly surrounded the area.
"Jump!"
With a sudden loud shout, the old man grabbed Xiao Yun like an eagle catching its prey and leaped out of the window...
Everyone in the restaurant was stunned. They never imagined that the old man was serious and actually jumped from the seventh floor.
