Speaking of Bai Man, I have always found her perplexing.
She was originally just a minor character in my comic, so how did she manage to retain a sliver of consciousness and survive?
Looking back, she truly is a terrifying character.
Clearly someone like a white moonlight, yet she darkened because she was the first to awaken self-awareness.
Was it influenced by Shen Jing or by her environment?
Bai Man opened her mouth and asked Danto, "Where's your boss?"
Danto wore a flattering expression, "Miss Bai, Brother Shen is still outside negotiating business; he probably..."
With a bang.
Bai Man directly knocked over the coffee cup in front of her, looking extremely frustrated. "Negotiating business?
"I haven't seen him in almost four months!!!
"I don't care; you call him right now!"
The door to the inner room was pushed open.
Shen Jing walked out with wet hair and bare upper body, still damp from the steam.
I felt a moment of daze but quickly turned my face down again.
Shen Jing sat down leisurely, leaning against the sofa, lighting a cigarette.
Bai Man couldn't help but speak up, "Brother Jing... I haven't seen you in a long time."
Shen Jing spread his hands, "Well, now you have.
"Stay at home and don't run around."
He waved his hand, signaling Danto to take her back.
As Bai Man reached the door, she couldn't help but run back, squatting down in front of Shen Jing and resting on his knee.
"Brother Jing, please don't be like this..."
A dull pain surged in my chest.
I recalled the day when Shen Jing let them take me away.
I was kidnapped and locked in a small dark room.
I tried to find someone to rescue me, even telling them that I was one of Shen Jing's people.
"Let me go, and I'll give you money."
They laughed.
Later, I was taken to a private underground hospital and tied to a hospital bed by the nurse.
I realized things were not looking good.
A survival instinct kicked in, and I broke free from my restraints and ran out.
I dashed into the next room.
Inside, Shen Jing was sitting by the bed, holding the barely conscious Bai Man in his arms.
When Shen Jing saw me, he frowned.
He glared at the people behind me and said, "A bunch of fools, how could you let her in?"
Finally, I understood completely.
When they captured me, I hadn’t struggled; I let them tie me up.
I asked him, "Have you ever just been using me?"
Shen Jing replied, "Yes."
It seemed he was afraid I hadn't been hurt enough; he stepped forward and grabbed my chin.
"Be obedient; I only need your blood."
So that was it.
He had always known that my blood could bring characters on the brink of death back to life in comics.
It could also allow comic characters to enter the real world and become real living beings.
His ambition was greater than I had imagined.
He even knew how to deceive me by using my own deception.
Everything was designed by him.
But in the end, he truly wanted me dead.
In the room, seeing Bai Man crying like a flower in the rain, Shen Jing reached out and pinched her chin.
He smiled wickedly, "Miss me?"
"If you're so lonely, go keep Kunsha company."
As soon as Shen Jing said this, both Bai Man and I looked up at him simultaneously—
Kunsha is the biggest warlord in the area.
A good woman with a twisted preference.
Fortunately, the attention of everyone in the room was not on me.
I lowered my head and continued to scrub the floor vigorously.
My fingers pressed hard enough to turn slightly white.
He is terrifying.
For power, he can even send away the woman he loves?
I thought Bai Man was different to him.
It seems now that she is just one of the stepping stones for him to reach the pinnacle of power.
When Bai Man stumbled out, I was still wiping the bloodstains in the corner.
Everyone else had been driven out by Shen Jing.
After finishing, I also prepared to leave.
Shen Jing pointed at a painting on the wall and gestured in sign language: "You didn't clean up last time."
I leaned over to take a look; there were a few bloodstains splattered on the painting.
As I continued to wipe, cold sweat began to form on my back.
At the bottom of the frame of the painting, there was a black hole in the center.
Inside, a red light was glowing...
Damn it!
Shen Jing had installed a second camera in this room!!
I had my back to Shen Jing.
But I could see him through the reflection of the glass covering the painting.
He opened a drawer and took out a handgun to play with.
He even started talking.
"Did you confess on your own, or should I help you?"
I forced myself to stay calm despite the fear, continuing to wipe the frame of the painting.
Shen Jing stood up and slowly walked towards me.
With each step he took, he continued speaking.
"The day you arrived, someone tampered with my computer.
"So, I checked another surveillance camera and discovered something interesting."
Shen Jing's voice was like a demon whispering.
"You entered the room inside.
"You're quite familiar with the route."
I stiffened my neck, afraid to move, while my left hand subtly reached into my pocket.
There lay a hidden dagger.
Although I couldn't kill Shen Jing directly, doing so would disrupt the order of the comic world.
I couldn't kill him, but at least I could seriously injure him once.
He stopped two meters away from me.
I lit a cigarette.
Shen Jing only drinks strong liquor and smokes potent cigarettes.
Just the smell of the smoke made me cough.
"What's even more interesting is that Xiao Dao entered the room."
I was stunned.
Xiao Dao was discovered?
After I returned that time, I confirmed with Bai Qing and the others that Xiao Dao was an undercover agent for the mainland police.
He can't be in trouble!
I've already made too many mistakes, allowing Shen Jing to kill so many people.
Xiao Dao cannot be in danger!
The smell of smoke suddenly became more intense.
Shen Jing was very close to me, his voice almost echoing above my head.
"He not only entered the room but also spoke to you.
"He even told you to hide.
"So, two cops? Hmm?"
Just as Shen Jing raised his hand, I suddenly turned around.
I thrust the dagger in my hand toward his heart.
