The next morning, the weather improved, and the Forest was shrouded in a light mist. Dewdrops dripped from the newly sprouted buds, creating a refreshing atmosphere.
Ye Tian took a deep breath and stood up. He had just returned to rest after a long night, and since he saw Fifth Brother was already asleep, he did not wake him.
"Leaf Young Master, you're awake! How did things go yesterday?" Fifth Brother had already woken up and was holding several fresh fish in his hands. He had likely gotten up early to catch them, wanting to improve the meals for the Brothers.
"There's been some progress," Ye Tian replied with a faint smile, knowing that Fifth Brother was asking about the results of his breakthrough from the previous day.

Fifth Brother was brimming with confidence, looking as if he were a top chef.
Seeing this, Ye Tian couldn't help but chuckle. Fifth Brother was a burly man with a bushy beard and fierce eyebrows; he didn't look like someone who could cook delicious food.
"Cut it out, Leaf Young Master! Don't judge a book by its cover; just wait and see my skills!" Fifth Brother said when he noticed Ye Tian's skepticism. After that, he said no more and turned towards the makeshift stove to showcase his talents.
Ye Tian followed him and sat quietly nearby to watch closely. Fifth Brother flashed a triumphant smile and then added water to boil before putting the fish into the pot.
Moments later, the water began to boil. Fifth Brother added various seasonings. Since they were on a mission rather than on vacation, their ingredients were quite simple—just the necessary salt and such. However, Fifth Brother pulled out some strange leaves from his pocket and added them to the soup; it was unclear what they were.
Before long, the ingredients infused their flavors into the broth, and steam rose enthusiastically as a delicious aroma wafted through the air.
Ye Tian stared in amazement at Fifth Brother because the smell of this fish soup truly made his stomach growl with hunger.
"How is it?" Fifth Brother asked with a proud smile.
"Elder Brother Five, I really didn't realize you had this skill!" Ye Tian gave a thumbs up and sincerely praised him.
"Haha, this is just the beginning! If I had more ingredients, the dishes I make would make even me drool!" With Ye Tian's compliment, Fifth Brother became even prouder, laughing heartily and boasting.
"On this trip back, you shouldn't be the Cold Family Guardian anymore," Ye Tian suddenly said seriously, staring at Fifth Brother.
Fifth Brother was taken aback for a moment, then replied with some surprise, "Why? Am I being cowardly or dragging you all down?"
"Hehe, Elder Brother Five, that's not what I meant. You're good at cooking; it would be a waste not to be a chef. Why not take charge at the Broad Gathering Pavilion?" Ye Tian suggested.
"Haha, to be honest, the head chef at the Broad Gathering Pavilion is my master. But my master is always narrow-minded like a woman. That's how I ended up as the Cold Family Guardian," Fifth Brother laughed heartily as he reminisced about his "glorious" past.

"Dinner is ready, Brothers!" Fifth Brother shouted loudly as he saw that the person cooking had finished making the rice, calling everyone to eat.
At dinner, Fifth Brother was extremely busy. Since there were many people and little soup, he had to start another fire to cook more soup. After several rounds of busyness, by the time everyone finished eating, he was already sweating profusely.

Fifth Brother insisted a few more times, but ultimately could not refuse Ye Tian and sat back down to continue eating and drinking.
Ye Tian smiled lightly at him and then turned to leave, walking slowly towards the direction of Black Wind Stronghold.
The sunlight spread out, evaporating the morning dew completely. As Ye Tian walked further away, the outline of Black Wind Stronghold gradually appeared in his sight.
Compared to its towering presence before, Black Wind Stronghold now looked completely different. The mountain was severely damaged, with parts missing; the peak had tilted and collapsed onto the lower mountains beside it.
The air was thick with the smell of nitric acid, a result of the magma that had erupted violently. The ground was cracked with fissures several feet wide, and looking down revealed a bottomless abyss glowing red, with waves of heat rising up.

"Where is Hu Lue?" Ye Tian asked coldly since he had seen Earthshatter Tai Sui leave with Hu Lue yesterday.
"He went looking for you," Earthshatter Tai Sui replied with a hint of sorrow in his expression as he crouched down to touch the scorched earth that had been burned by lava.

"If the Cold Family is destroyed, don't you want to return and take a look?" Earthshatter Tai Sui spoke calmly, lacking his usual arrogance and even carrying a hint of melancholy.
