When Anna realized that Park Chan-yeol had drunk a bit too much, it seemed to be too late. Looking at the four empty bottles on the table and seeing Park Chan-yeol slumped over, fast asleep, Anna was at a loss for what to do.
Anna had forgotten why Park Chan-yeol had drunk so much, but she remembered the lessons from the previous two times and had not touched a drop this time.
As closing time approached, Park Chan-yeol showed no signs of waking up. Anna began to feel anxious and tried calling out, "Park Chan-yeol, hey, wake up, it's time to go."
But Park Chan-yeol only mumbled a few sounds and then fell silent again.
"Young people these days really don't know how to behave. How could you let your husband drink so much?" The aunt in the restaurant, with her gray hair, was clearing the dishes and looked at Anna with disapproval upon seeing Park Chan-yeol unconscious.
"I'm not..." Anna waved her hands vigorously.
"Just go home; we need to close up," the aunt said.
Anna could only nod awkwardly and smiled as she replied, "Okay, thank you."
After saying that, she steeled herself to get up, paid the bill, grabbed her bag, and then tried to lift the much taller Park Chan-yeol. She was using all her strength.
Under the aunt's disapproving gaze, Anna could only move as quickly as possible, step by step, out of the restaurant.
"This isn't treating me to a late-night snack; it's clearly a setup..." Anna muttered to herself.
Walking up to the car, Anna was panting heavily, only then realizing that the keys were still with Park Chan-yeol. She hoped he would have some awareness and tried to ask, "Chan-yeol? Park Chan-yeol? Hey! Where are the keys?"
The smell of alcohol hit her face, and there was no response. Anna let out a long sigh, using one hand to support Chan-yeol's waist to lean him against her, while the other hand searched his clothing pockets for the keys. Unexpectedly, she lost her balance, and Chan-yeol's entire body leaned forward against her. Fortunately, Anna's back was pressed against the car door, preventing them from falling to the ground. The unexpected embrace made Anna's heart race. Luckily, she managed to pull out the keys from Chan-yeol's pocket, quickly pushed him away, gathered her strength, opened the car door, and laid him down in the back seat.
After all this, Anna was drenched in sweat. She wiped the sweat from her forehead and sat in the driver's seat, starting the car. However, at that moment, she was at a loss about where to go.
Indeed, how would Anna know where Park Chan-yeol lived?
Should she take him to a hotel? Anna quickly dismissed that idea; if someone saw them, it would definitely make explosive news.
Maybe she should call Park Chan-yeol's friends to come pick him up? But then she wouldn't know how to explain it...
Anna sighed in despair, regretting going out for late-night snacks with Park Chan-yeol.
With no other choice, Anna took Park Chan-yeol's phone and eventually dialed Wu Shixun's number. The phone rang for a long time before connecting, and the noise on the other end was particularly loud; Sehun was almost shouting.
"Hello! Brother Can-ryeol?!"
Anna didn't expect such a loud response; her ear was jolted by the sound, so she quickly moved the phone away from her ear and said, "Oh... Sehun..."
"Who are you?"
"I'm Anna Zheng."
"Oh, Miss Anna, why are you calling me from Brother Can-ryeol's phone? Brother Can-ryeol clearly said he had something very important to do, so how could he be with you?" Sehun exclaimed in surprise.
