Today, the atmosphere in the Task Force was a bit different. All the female staff members had coincidentally put on light makeup, and some even wore skirts, filling the venue with a pleasant vibe.
Yoo Jae-suk joked about the female staff's outfits, and everyone laughed happily. Just then, he spotted Anna coming from a distance, carrying a basket of props, still dressed as usual. Yoo Jae-suk smiled and said, "Anna, didn't you know EXO is coming today?"
Anna instinctively nodded; she had been away earlier and was unaware of what had happened, looking completely confused.
"I know," Anna replied as she set down what she was holding and wiped the sweat from her forehead, looking at Yoo Jae-suk in puzzlement.
Everyone found Anna's bewildered state amusing. Lee Kwang-soo chimed in, waving his hand and saying, "Anna probably doesn't like the type that EXO represents."
"Why?" the members asked Kwang-soo in unison.
Kwang-soo had only made a casual remark and was taken aback by their question, left speechless. Everyone looked at Anna curiously while she lowered her head, wishing she could give Lee Kwang-soo a good beating.
Kim Jong Kook laughed and said, "As far as I know, Anna should be Kwang-soo's type."
Kwang-soo's face turned red instantly, while Anna felt extremely frustrated.
Yoo Jae-suk continued, "Anna, do you think Kwang-soo is handsome or EXO?"
Anna decisively replied, "Of course EXO."
Kwang-soo nodded with a sense of defeat. Ji-hyo patted his shoulder in an attempt to comfort him but ended up laughing uncontrollably.
Lee Kwang-soo refused to give up and said, "But among the members, Miss Anna should think I'm more handsome, right?"
Anna shook her head firmly and said, "No, I think Brother Jae-suk is more handsome."
Kwang-soo immediately exploded in mock anger, pointing at Anna and saying, "Ah! You fickle woman! You just like the popular ones!"
Everyone burst into laughter. After this brief interlude, the program continued smoothly into its main content.
"Anna, please help me check this and see if all the procedures are in place," Miao PD handed the list of game facilities to Anna.
"Okay," Anna replied as she took it.
"Also, after you finish checking, you and Dong Wan should head directly to the last filming location and prepare for the shoot there," Miao PD instructed Dong Wan and Anna.
"Got it," Anna and Dong Wan nodded in agreement.
Miao PD continued to attend to other matters.
Dong Wan went to the restroom due to an upset stomach, while Anna found a quiet spot to call the responsible persons for several game locations one by one to verify details.
After completing these calls, the two drove to the final filming location, H Mall.
After waiting for all the mall staff to finish their shifts and leave, Anna communicated with the mall manager about the facilities and filming schedule. Dong Wan went ahead to set up the last scene, and soon Anna joined him to help.
Filming, recording, and camera positions were all set, and before long it was deep into the night.
Two black vans drove in, causing a stir on site. Before anyone could stand up to see what was happening, EXO members opened the doors and stepped out, bowing and greeting the staff present.
"What’s going on?" Dong Wan asked in confusion. "They were supposed to arrive after Brother Jae-seok."
Anna quickly walked to a corner to call Miao PD but received no answer. It seemed there was a problem with the shoot that caused some delays. If EXO continued to wait idly, it would surely upset their manager.
"What did Miao PD say?" Dong Wan asked Anna.
Anna thought for a moment and recalled seeing a small stage while inspecting the mall earlier. "There’s an outdoor stage in the center of the mall. We can let EXO take a short break and perform there as a surprise show. It can also be included in the teaser."
"Is this PD's idea?" Dong Wan asked.
"Regardless of whose idea it is, we have no choice but to do this now," Anna replied, looking at Dong Wan.
Dong Wan pondered for a moment before quickly running off to prepare for the stage performance shoot.
Watching Dong Wan arrange the stage for the shoot, Anna quickly ran to the EXO resting area to discuss filming issues with their manager.
Just as she turned around, she bumped into someone and fell to the ground. The impact caused intense pain in her already injured right hand, making Anna gasp.
"Are you okay?"
"I'm fine." Anna grimaced in pain as she stood up, looked up, and exclaimed in surprise, "How is it you again?" Standing before her was Park Chan-yeol.
Anna rubbed her right wrist.
"Is your hand alright?" Chan-yeol noticed that Anna's hand was still red and swollen.
"It's fine now. Honestly, I always seem to be at my most awkward when I run into you," Anna complained a bit.
Chan-yeol replied innocently, "I just wanted to go to the restroom." He pointed to the restroom sign behind Anna.
"Where's your manager?" Anna asked.
"He's in the car. Also, he's a bit upset; we've been waiting for over half an hour with no news about starting the shoot," Chan-yeol said.
"I'll go meet him. Please let the other members know that we need to get ready to start filming soon," Anna said before running towards the van.
