"Don't worry, I'm fine." Su Xingchen whispered a comforting remark, simultaneously applying more pressure to the shadow's arm, twisting it behind his back while pressing his knee against his back to keep him firmly restrained.
The shadow struggled a few times but couldn't break free from Su Xingchen's grip. Furious and embarrassed, he shouted, "Su Xingchen, you damned guy, just wait! I won't let you off!"
"Heh," Su Xingchen sneered, "I'll be waiting."
At that moment, the stage lights suddenly turned on, the blinding light causing everyone to instinctively close their eyes.
"What happened?"
"What's going on?"
"Security! Where's security?!"
A commotion erupted in the crowd as Lin Xi rushed onto the stage with security personnel. Upon seeing the scene before her, she immediately sighed in relief.
"Xingchen, are you okay?" she asked anxiously while signaling for security to control the shadow.
"I'm fine," Su Xingchen shook his head, releasing the shadow and flexing his wrist. He turned to face the panicked fans below and offered a reassuring smile. "Sorry for worrying everyone. It was just a minor incident, and it's already resolved. Please don't be concerned."
His voice was calm but carried a powerful presence that instantly soothed everyone's emotions.
"Xingchen, it's good that you're okay!"
"We believe in you!"
Fans raised their support items and responded loudly, their eyes sparkling with excitement and admiration.
As soon as Su Xingchen's voice fell, the lights in the gymnasium went out again, plunging the stage into darkness. Before the fans could react, the previously calm sound system suddenly erupted with a piercing electric noise, the sharp sound cutting through the darkness and echoing in the vast venue, deafening everyone.
"Ah!" Screams erupted one after another as fans panicked, running around like headless chickens.
"What’s going on? Is there a power outage?"
"Is the sound system broken? Call someone to fix it!"
In the chaos, no one noticed that the man in black, who had been restrained by security, took advantage of the confusion to break free again and pulled out a dagger, viciously lunging toward Su Xingchen.
"Xingchen! Be careful!" In the darkness, Tang Xiaotang keenly sensed the danger. She threw herself toward Su Xingchen, trying to shield him with her body from the knife.
However, everything happened too quickly for Tang Xiaotang to react. At that critical moment, Su Xingchen yanked her behind him while sidestepping. The dagger grazed his nose, its cold blade sending a sharp pain through him.
"Damn it!" A fierce glint flashed in Su Xingchen's eyes as he grabbed the wrist of the man in black with his other hand and twisted it forcefully. With a sharp crack, the man's wrist was broken, and the dagger fell to the ground once more.
"Ah!" The man in black let out a scream like a slaughtered pig, clutching his twisted wrist and rolling in pain on the ground.
"Xingchen, are you okay?" Lin Xi's anxious voice came from not far away. She, accompanied by security, stumbled onto the stage with the faint light of her phone.
"I'm fine." Su Xingchen shook his head. He glanced at the writhing man in black on the floor, a cold smirk appearing at the corner of his mouth. "However, someone is going to have bad luck."
"What do you want to do?" The man in black gritted his teeth against the pain, looking at Su Xingchen in terror. He sensed that the handsome man before him exuded a chilling aura of killing intent.
Su Xingchen ignored him and walked to the center of the stage. He picked up the dagger from the ground and approached the lighting control console at the edge of the stage, forcefully inserting the dagger into the circuit board of the console.
"Zzzz—"
A piercing sound of electricity erupted, and the previously flickering lights in the gym suddenly all turned on, illuminating the entire stage.
