Chapter Four Hundred and Five: 0

‘Woo—’ 0

It sounded like the amplified call of a conch shell suddenly resonating across this sea. Following that, the calm sea surface seemed to boil, and from the deep ocean, massive dark shadows swam rapidly towards the calm sea surface, exuding an indescribable sense of danger. 0

“Invader!! It’s a Human Wizard’s Invader!” 0

“Damn two-legged creatures!! How dare you recklessly intrude into this sea! It seems the lesson we taught you last time wasn’t enough!” 0

“Kill her! Hang her head at the gate of Fetis City!!” 0

A vague Spiritual Message reached her ears. 0

Freya quietly watched the many dark shadows about to surface, her brow slightly furrowing. 0

“Rise, I remember that the original source of the Sea Tribe seems to be from Ancient Times, remnants of the army left behind after the Ocean World invaded the Wizarding World. Although many years have passed, it appears they still haven’t recognized their identity. Well then.” 0

After pondering for a moment, she extended her hand and gently swept over the calm sea surface. 0

‘Hiss’ 0

The once-boiling seawater miraculously calmed down, and those massive dark shadows beneath the sea seemed to vanish like erased paper with Freya's movement. 0

Before long, the entire sea area fell into complete silence, even the deepest underwater city disappeared without a trace. 0

Calmly observing the scene she had created, Freya felt an indescribable sensation in her heart. 0

“This is the power under World Rule; any existence that has not surpassed Dawn Wizard is utterly meaningless under the power of rules.” 0

After a long while, she took another step forward, and the surroundings rapidly receded around her. 0

Now, she had not completely grasped the rules of the Wizarding World. She had only mastered that part of being a King Cobra. 0

But even a little mastery can be terrifying for most people in this world. 0

The strange situation with the disappearing Sea Tribe was merely due to Freya using the rules to expel them from the Wizarding World. 0

They did not truly disappear; instead, they were cast into the temporal rifts between the Wizarding World and other realms. 0

If categorized by level, Freya herself was unsure of what level she currently belonged to. 0

So far in wizarding history, there seems to be no one like her; even the ancient inheritors who became Forest Kings did not have such a case. 0

After being brought into this world, it had been hidden deep within her soul. It only manifested when her body was assimilated by World Power, revealing her Time Power. 0

Her body represented life and storms through the Royal Serpent Bloodline, along with the soul attribute of Winds of Oblivion. 0

All these factors combined formed Freya's current appearance. 0

'Thud!' 0

She stepped onto a solid stone slab beneath her feet. 0

Freya looked around; this was a vast harbor. Several scattered Giant Ships were docked on the Calm Sea Surface. 0

White seabirds occasionally flew across the azure sky. 0

At this moment, it seemed to be around dawn; the sun had just risen above the horizon, and there were not many people on the streets by the harbor. 0

Freya lightly exhaled a breath of white mist, faintly feeling that the temperature was somewhat cold. 0

"Is it winter here at this time?" 0

Frowning slightly, she reached out casually. A black coat was pulled from thin air. 0

Wrapping herself in the coat, she covered her still-black silk dress. 0

Freya tightened the fluffy collar around her neck, covering her cheeks as she glanced to the side. 0

On one side of the port stood tall, pointed buildings. In the distance, two Black Carriages were parked along the cobblestone road. From one of the carriages, a burly man dressed in a matching black coat and wearing a Felt Hat stepped down. He walked into a nearby café, the sound of the door chiming as he entered. 0

Freya withdrew her gaze, sensed her surroundings briefly, and then headed west. 0

Twenty minutes later. 0

Freya's figure appeared in front of an ordinary estate within the port. 0

The large black iron gate was tightly locked, revealing a light yellow two-story villa inside. One side of the villa had a somewhat withered lawn, on which rested an empty Rosewood Weapon Rack. 0

In the distance across the lawn stood two circular Targets, their numerous holes indicating that the villa's owner frequently used them. 0

Freya approached the wall beside the iron gate, where a black plaque hung displaying the address and the name of the villa's owner. 0

Gently touching the plaque, she exhaled softly and then passed directly through the wall. 0

Inside one of the rooms in the villa, a fireplace burning charcoal filled the space with warmth. 0

The floor was covered with a dark Red Carpet, at the center of which lay a large emblem featuring a sword and shield crossed together. 0

A figure in a red robe sat on a sofa near the fireplace, sipping warm coffee while reading a newspaper. 0

Freya's silhouette slowly materialized behind him as she quietly watched. 0

After a moment, she softly spoke. 0

“Father, I’m back.” 0

The abrupt voice made the figure tremble slightly, and he immediately stood up and turned around. 0

"Are you Freya?" Baron asked, wide-eyed, looking at the person in front of him with disbelief. 0

He rubbed his eyes vigorously, and after a while, he confirmed that this was not an illusion. 0

"Oh," Baron said as he walked around the sofa and gently embraced Freya, his voice trembling slightly. "When did you come back?" 0

Held by Baron, Freya could clearly smell the familiar scent that had always been associated with him. 0

After a long time, Baron released Freya and silently looked at her, as if assessing something. 0

In Freya's eyes, Baron's once strong body had diminished over the years, with strands of white subtly mixed in his golden hair. 0

Deep lines had appeared on his handsome and serious face. 0

It was then that Freya realized that Baron seemed to have aged a bit over the years. 0

After a long silence, Baron reached out and touched Freya's hair, sighing. 0

"You look just like you did before you left. So, are you going to leave again this time?" 0

"Mm." Freya nodded lightly. "I might stay for a while." 0

"Is that so?" Baron smiled at her response and then said, "By the way, have you eaten breakfast? It’s been so many years since we’ve had a meal together as father and daughter. Let’s talk about those things outside." 0

"Okay." Freya smiled slightly. 0

"Then wait for me a moment. I’ll go change my clothes." 0

Although Baron didn’t say anything particularly moving, she could sense his true emotions—joy at her return. 0

It was just that Baron's personality didn't allow him to express much of it. 0

Watching Baron hurriedly leave the room, Freya glanced at the sofa and the campfire nearby, unsure of what to think. 0

Half an hour later. 0

In the villa's dining room, Baron, having changed out of his robe into a different outfit, brought plate after plate of delicious food to the dining table. 0

There were vegetable and fruit salads, potato and beef stew, round bread, and a serving of roasted chicken. 0

Freya sat at the table, looking at the dishes prepared by Baron, raising an eyebrow. 0

"Father. Don't you have any servants here? Where is everyone? Eric?" 0

She was referring to those who had followed Baron to Dragon Harbor. 0

"They're all in the Mercenary group," Baron replied as he returned to the table after setting down the food. "After we finish eating, I'll take you to see them. I almost forgot. Your brother completely took over the Mercenary group two years ago; he's quite busy now." 0

"Really?" Freya exclaimed. "I can't believe time has passed so quickly." 0

"Indeed," Baron agreed with a sigh, then smiled slightly. "Alright, enough about that. Tell me about your experiences over these years. If it weren't for Eric and the others not letting me leave here, I would have gone on adventures long ago." 0

"Hehe. No problem," Freya said cheerfully. 0

Breakfast was spent recounting stories; Freya had nothing to hide from Baron. 0

However, even though she was very clear about her experiences, there were many things that an ordinary person like Baron wouldn't understand. Yet this did not hinder their communication as father and daughter. 0

Freya also learned about their situation in recent years from Baron. 0

After Freya left, although the Mercenary group went through quite a bit, fortunately, it did not collapse. Instead, thanks to their outstanding strength, they gradually became one of the top Mercenary groups in Dragon Harbor. 0

After Baron retired due to health reasons, Eric became the Captain of the Mercenary group. 0

With the swordsmanship training methods she had left behind, Eric had already grasped a hint of the Great Knight realm. It seemed that it wouldn't be long before he successfully broke through. 0

“Great Knight,” Freya said with a nostalgic expression. 0

Her current height had surpassed that of ordinary people by a significant margin; even among wizards, few had reached her level. 0

In response to Baron's reassuring expression, Freya felt only a hint of nostalgia. 0

After all, if it weren't for her mastery of certain rules of the world, allowing her to completely mask her presence, simply facing someone who looked directly at her would cause an ordinary person's soul to spontaneously burn and disintegrate. 0

It was akin to sunlight shining on an ant through a magnifying glass. 0

Breakfast took over two hours to finish. 0

Then, under Baron's guidance, Freya quickly arrived at the Mercenary group's base. 0

As she got off the carriage, she noticed a group of people training in the open area ahead, occasionally letting out unified shouts. 0

Among them stood a young man in brown Leather Armor, his muscular build commanding attention as he sternly urged the others from the edge of the training ground. 0

Freya felt a faint sense of familiarity from that man. 0

"That's Damsdin's eldest son. He's already seventeen now and quite a good lad," Baron smiled and introduced when he noticed Freya's gaze. 0

"Damsdin has a son already?" Freya asked, slightly surprised. 0

"Of course! You should count how many years you've been away," Baron replied with a laugh. 0

At this remark, Freya fell silent for a moment. 0

The perception of time among wizards had deeply influenced her; upon reflection, it seemed she was nearing forty years old herself, though she had overlooked this fact due to her youthful appearance. 0

After a long pause, Freya gently sighed and said, "Alright, I suppose I've forgotten a bit." 0

"It's okay," Baron waved his hand and smiled. "Time seems to stand still for Mystic, and I am proud of you for that. Now, let's go meet Eric; he has already become a father." 0

"Okay," Freya nodded. 0

The two crossed the training grounds and after passing through some paths, they finally arrived in front of a large building. 0

Upon entering the building, both men and women inside were wearing armor and carrying weapons. When they saw Baron approaching, they all bowed their heads in respect. 0

With Freya's keen eyesight, she could see that most of these people were at Knight Level or higher, with very few weaklings among them. They seemed to be captains or leaders of a Mercenary group. 0

After Baron asked a Mercenary for Eric's location, he led Freya to an empty training room. 0

Inside, a middle-aged man dressed in a white swordsman's outfit was training a boy who looked to be only in his teens. 0

The man was tall and had flaxen short hair tied back in a braid. He had some stubble on his mouth and chin, and his bright blue eyes gave him a faint resemblance to Baron in his youth. 0

The boy being taught had golden hair, and although he was dressed in boy's clothing, his face looked delicate like a girl's. If it weren't for his brown eyes, which were almost identical to Freya's, one might easily mistake him for a girl. 0

Baron gently knocked on the door and called out loudly. 0

"Hey, Eric, look who I brought to see you." 0

Hearing Baron's voice, Eric turned around and immediately spotted Freya beside Baron. 0

"Ah? Sister, is it really you who's back?" 0

He walked over excitedly with big strides, bringing the boy along with him. 0

The boy looked at Freya curiously, occasionally showing a puzzled expression. 0

"Eric, you've grown up," Freya said as she looked at the now transformed Eric, faintly remembering the weak and pale boy he used to be. 0

"Yes, sister. I have never forgotten your teachings," Eric replied excitedly. 0

However, for the middle-aged Eric, there was a strange feeling when he looked at his sister Freya, who still seemed to be in her twenties. 0

Suddenly, he thought of something and pulled the boy behind him over. 0

“Frankie, this is your Freya aunt, do you understand?” 0

The boy named Frankie tilted his head, a bit uncertain. 0

“Aren't I supposed to call her sister? She looks younger than my mother.” 0

“You child.” 0

Just as Eric was about to scold him, Freya smiled and casually ruffled the boy's smooth hair. 0

“Don't blame him, Frankie, you are called Frankie, right? Although we haven't met before, I really am your aunt.” 0

“But you look so young,” Frankie said sincerely. (To be continued) 0
