Chapter 390:
As King Cobra soared into the sky, the previously gloomy clouds immediately thickened.
The heavy clouds, like lead blocks, slowly engulfed King Cobra's figure, leaving only a faint green glow.
The massive silver wolf, having reformed its body, stared at the increasingly darkening sky, a hint of murderous intent flickering in its ruby-like eyes.
'Shh!'
With a subtle sound, the entire Snow Mountain Range began to tremble, an invisible wave spreading out from the silver wolf as if something was brewing.
'Hiss'
In the increasingly dark sky, a point of green fluorescence slowly descended, like a prelude, followed by a sudden downpour of green rain.
As the rainwater touched the snow-covered ground, it transformed into transparent green and merged into the earth, seemingly bringing boundless vitality.
In this torrential downpour, the silver wolf's body gradually began to distort, transforming into wisps of white vapor that evaporated into the air.
"Life Purification"
A vague female voice whispered this term.
The silver wolf, its body distorted by the rainwater, seemed to sense something and suddenly lifted its head.
'Crack.'
The sound of shattering echoed again, and then its entire body ignited with transparent white flames.
The flames isolated against the onslaught of rainwater, emitting a terrifying cold aura that spread to every corner.
"Mother of Ice!"
A deep male voice emerged from the giant wolf's mouth, and then its entire body rapidly dissipated.
A vast expanse of Blazing White Plasma suddenly erupted in the clouds.
The Plasma rolled with an absolute coldness, tearing apart the thick clouds. Amidst countless white lights and shadows, a massive silver wolf body let out a frenzied roar.
“Damn Exotic Sorcerer, pay the price for your actions! The inherited Ancient Will will shred your soul into pieces!”
Within the torn clouds, King Cobra was covered in cracks of white ice crystals. This coldness carried a desolate and ancient aura; although the damage was limited, the troubling part was that the aura clung to her like slime, continuously eroding her spirit and freezing her thoughts.
Even Purifying Rain could not dispel this aura.
Suddenly, a hint of madness flashed in King Cobra's usually calm serpent eyes. Ignoring the still chilling Plasma around her, she charged directly at the silver wolf.
Her massive body stirred up a deluge of green rain, expanding her already enormous form once again.
‘Whoosh!!’
She opened her serpent mouth and swallowed the giant wolf imbued with Plasma in one bite.
Instantly, that icy will dissipated, but white ice crystals slowly oozed from King Cobra's scales. In no time, they froze much of her body from the inside out.
Within King Cobra's body, the frantic howls of the giant wolf echoed faintly.
However, King Cobra disregarded everything and quickly turned her form, mixed with empty dark clouds, and fiercely flew toward Anshabella Volcano, diving headfirst into Lava Lake.
‘Boom!!’
Like a volcanic eruption, a massive surge of magma shot up, crimson lava flowed out from the volcano's mouth, turning the millennia-frozen mountains into a sea of heat.
Thick black smoke accompanied by enormous volcanic ash fell everywhere.
Yet even so, the surrounding Boundary Tower remained unresponsive.
In Ansabella Lava Lake, King Cobra's massive figure continued to swim downward.
In the red magma, her body was already showing fine cracks, and the cold and scorching sensations subjected her to indescribable pain.
Thin streams of emerald blood seeped from the delicate scales.
As she sensed the rising temperature around her, even she could barely endure it, when King Cobra suddenly opened its massive jaws.
'Smack!'
A large mass of white mucus was expelled from her mouth.
The moment the mucus appeared, it ignited into white transparent flames, causing the surrounding liquid magma to instantly coalesce into small black solid particles, which were then re-melted back into magma by the surrounding heat.
The body of the Silver Wolf struggled to coalesce, but it was clearly much slower than the outer layer of lava.
Seemingly unprepared for the current environment, its eyes reflected panic as it had just formed more than half of its body and was eager to escape.
However, behind it, King Cobra tightly grasped half of its body with its tail and forcefully flung it away.
'Swoosh!'
The entire body of the Silver Wolf flew deeper into Lava Lake.
"You madman!!"
The Silver Wolf's deep roar echoed through the rumbling magma, no longer maintaining its previous cold and silent demeanor.
Nevertheless, in response to its roar, King Cobra lunged forward again, entangling fiercely with it.
Although King Cobra was also struggling in this environment, with its once smooth scales now showing faint Black Spots, this gave a significant advantage to the Silver Wolf, which could hardly form a complete shape.
The inexplicable icy will and interference domain were utterly meaningless here.
Thus, King Cobra, which had been extremely frustrated outside before, tightened its grip on the Silver Wolf, causing large amounts of Plasma to spout from the Silver Wolf's mouth and nose.
The mixed power of the elements and Bloodline was rapidly being consumed, and the shadow of death was looming closer.
However, just as the entire body of the Silver Wolf was about to be crushed by King Cobra.
Suddenly, a white transparent mark surged violently at the position of the wolf's head, and a naked Silver Hair man struggled to emerge from the skull of the Silver Wolf.
The man was covered in red marks, and his eyes were filled with a frenzied look.
With half of his body still inside the wolf's skull, he suddenly reached out and plunged his hand into his own chest.
‘Hiss’
With a clear tearing sound, a burning White Flame Light Sphere was pulled out by him.
The Light Sphere was clearly visible, as if it were tangible, held in his hands.
Suddenly, King Cobra, which had been pulling towards the depths of the Lava Lake, felt an ominous sensation, which then materialized when the man abruptly crushed the Light Sphere.
‘Crash!!’
It seemed as if something had shattered. A strong, cold aura surged around King Cobra, enveloping her with a massive and terrifying sense of crisis.
Without thinking much, she swiftly threw off the disintegrating body of the Silver Wolf and immediately swam deeper into the Lava Lake.
She wanted to use the natural heat to wear down this aura.
Even though there was a risk of spreading Black Spot on her scales, it was still better than being completely frozen by this aura.
Just as she swam not far, a circle of white light suddenly illuminated behind King Cobra.
‘Hiss!’
Then a fierce chill erupted, causing the entire lava lake to boil violently, as black stone rapidly condensed, covering the Lava Lake with a thick layer.
The massive and broken body of the Silver Wolf was quickly covered and submerged by black stone. In an instant, it was lifeless.
This intense chill then autonomously spread rapidly towards King Cobra, even faster than her own movement.
Lava split quickly beneath the enormous body of King Cobra, with a deep coldness lurking behind.
In a daze, amidst the crimson lava, a patch of pure black suddenly surged forth along with an even hotter massive vein.
King Cobra's soulless eyes suddenly focused. The Lava Lake had indeed reached its limit. That lava river, resembling the blood vessels of a giant beast, was clearly something she could not withstand at this moment.
If she dared to venture in, she would likely turn into snake meat within a minute.
Just when she thought she was doomed, a glimmering red light suddenly appeared in the depths of King Cobra's eyes.
Next to that fiery vein stood a Red Crystal quietly.
The crystal was not large compared to King Cobra, but it was absurdly massive for a human.
The shimmering red light echoed with the lava, exuding a mysterious aura.
Upon seeing this crystal, King Cobra was suddenly flooded with a familiar feeling, as if this object had triggered a fragment of broken memory from her inheritance.
As she drew closer, she vaguely noticed what seemed to be a curled red figure within the crystal.
'What is that?'
Just as she pondered this, a large mass of red shadows suddenly crawled out from that fiery lava vein like maggots.
In no time, they completely covered the bottom of Lava Lake.
These were the numerous Volcanic Worms, among the few terrifying creatures that could use lava as their nest.
These Volcanic Worms quickly distanced themselves from that vein as if they had been harmed.
Before King Cobra could understand the cause, a massive wave of will surged towards her, causing her entire form moving towards the lake bottom to freeze momentarily. Then, a backlash erupted from that vein.
Magma erupted forth, instantly tearing apart the cold will that had been shattered by King Cobra.
After years of dormancy, Anshabella Volcano finally erupted once again.
In the unusually gloomy sky, a bright red pillar of fire suddenly shot up, and the immense magma flow was incomparable to the volcanic eruption caused by King Cobra for the first time.
The entire Snow Mountain Range seemed to plunge into apocalyptic disaster in an instant.
The sky turned fiery red, with countless massive lava meteors crashing down like a meteor shower in all directions, and thick volcanic ash rendered the surroundings exceptionally hazy.
In this display of nature's might, a fine gray crack rapidly spread through the air hundreds of miles away.
Then with a 'pop', it shattered into countless transparent fragments.
The powerful isolation Rune Array was completely ineffective.
In a distant high castle far from Anshabella Volcano, an elderly man dressed in a White Robe sitting on a throne suddenly opened his eyes wide, revealing an expression of extreme shock.
“The Seed of Life of Klein has completely perished!? Anshabella Volcano!?”
Meanwhile, in another snow-white Pine Forest, a middle-aged woman clad in animal skins slowly raised her head, frowning as she stared at the dark gray sky.
“This aura... the climate in Snowfield is changing. Who could it be?”
Just as the powerful Archmages in Snowfield sensed something was amiss, a charred figure was violently thrown onto the peak of a snow mountain from the magma column erupting from the volcano.
The entire body of King Cobra could only be described as horrific.
Eighty percent of her body had turned to charcoal, exposing faintly green bones, with true black mist mixed with blood covering the entire summit of the snow mountain.
‘Hiss.’
The broken body of the King Cobra suddenly moved, and green smoke surged out.
Before long, Freya, covered in charred marks, stumbled out of the smoke.
Boom!
A meteor made of magma exploded beside her, completely melting the snow on the mountaintop.
Under this bombardment, Freya was directly thrown away, crashing with a loud thud next to a damaged Watchtower.
Her body slowly slid down as she spat out a mouthful of blood, looking somewhat helplessly at her own body.
"How did I not die in such a situation? Is this what they call luck?"
Even with the protection of scales, her body was still severely burned, and the earlier reckless act of swallowing that silver wolf had caused her significant internal injuries.
In the Mind Sea, the first Spiritual Crystal and the second Spiritual Crystal were shaken by immense energy, nearly reverting to their most basic spiritual flow.
Such an injury would likely cause any wizard to die instantly.
Fortunately, Freya's vitality, having condensed into her first form, could not be measured by ordinary standards, allowing her to survive.
She never expected that just a visit to the Klyent Family would lead to such chaos; Freya felt quite helpless.
"Are all the people from the Klyent Family extremists?"
She raised her head and looked around. Not far away, another 'meteor' struck the neighboring mountaintop, splattering large amounts of magma.
In the air, it seemed that apart from the thick and scorching smell of sulfur, there was no other scent.
Freya recalled the immense and terrifying will she had sensed at the bottom of Lava Lake.
If she wasn't mistaken, that crystal seemed to contain a powerful Ancient Beast. Although it might not be as strong as the Forest King, it was likely not far off.
Perhaps this creature was in a self-sealing dormant state, suddenly disturbed by Freya and her companion, causing it to erupt.
"Just a single thought can create such powerful force? It seems that in some corner of this world, the mighty Ancient Beasts have not all been exterminated; they are simply hiding," a strange look flashed across Freya's face as she spoke.
From that immense will, she vaguely felt she had received some information, but it was not clear.
"If that will could communicate, perhaps I could ask for some useful information. However, since this is Anshabella Volcano, there should definitely be corresponding data. But..."
Freya looked at the apocalyptic scene with a bitter smile. She was severely injured, and whether she could survive and get out was still a question.
Leaning against the ruined Watchtower, she suddenly seemed to sense something and scanned her surroundings.
Soon, Freya discovered a wooden door covered in cracks beside a patch of snow melted by lava, with faint energy emanating from it.
"No way? Is my luck this good?"
Surprised, she tried to prop herself up and staggered over to the door. She crouched down and reached out to grasp the doorknob, giving it a gentle pull. (To be continued...)
