Chapter Three Hundred Forty-Three: 0

The underground of the Wizarding World is vast, almost indistinguishable from the surface. 0

It is filled with strange things and species that do not exist on the surface, and due to the absence of oceans, the area of the Underworld is much larger than that of the surface world. 0

It would not be an exaggeration to say that the underground is an inner world of the Wizarding World. 0

According to the information known to Freya, most of the inhabitants of the Underworld are non-human wizards. 0

Even those humanoid wizards do not possess purely human bloodlines. 0

The underground area remembered by Soulbug should be located far from the Crimson Plain in a place called Northern Wind Wilderness. 0

After dispersing Arthur and the other four Barbarian Sorcerers, Freya quietly sat in her chair, playing with the transparent crystal that contained Soulbug's memories. 0

"If I remember correctly, the largest Wizard Organization in Northern Wind Wilderness seems to be called Wilderness Witch. All members of that organization are Female Wizards, and it appears to be a Dark Wizard Organization." 0

The areas inhabited by Dark Wizards are often very brutal, with fierce competition leading to distorted values among most Dark Wizards. 0

They can commit extremely cruel acts to achieve their goals, viewing ordinary people merely as a source of productivity and free materials for experimentation. 0

Having graduated from Elgreen, Freya is well aware of the various actions of Dark Wizards. 0

Even among members of the same organization, conflicts over resources may arise; while fatalities may not occur, it is certain that someone could end up severely injured and unable to seek revenge in the future. 0

Although Freya is not a White Wizard, to be fair, her style is not that of a Dark Wizard who would do anything for their goals. 0

She has her own psychological bottom line, and if it is crossed, no matter how great the benefits on the other side, she will not act. 0

Perhaps this mindset will not make her a true world-class powerhouse, but at least it reflects her genuine thoughts and what she stands for. 0

"However, that place requires taking an Airship to get there, which takes at least four or five hours. Moreover, if it's a Dark Wizarding Area, I need to make some necessary preparations," Freya murmured to herself as she contemplated what to bring. 0

Aside from being unaffected by contamination due to her Royal Serpent Bloodline, her body is gradually transforming into that of a Hell Creature. This transformation is most evident in her control over Energy Particles. 0

A foreign wizard with only a Level One Crystallization Level would certainly be inadequate when operating in a Dark Wizard area. 0

"I should return to Blood Eagle Territory first and request a long leave from the Deputy Director," she decided in her heart. 0

With the integration of Blood Eagle Territory, her strength has surged dramatically. Her current status has long since become that of a core member of Blood Eagle Territory. She is also considered an old-timer in the Rune Department. 0

Her rune level ranks among the top within the Rune Department. She can now be regarded as a mid-level personnel in the Rune Department, with every action representing Blood Eagle Territory. 0

If it weren't for her unique personality and living situation, she would likely have received a pile of visiting letters from the Elk Wizard Family or other forces wanting to attach themselves to Blood Eagle Territory. 0

Although Freya initially joined Blood Eagle Territory merely with the intention of learning the Advanced Meditation Method, over time, she has gradually developed a special sense of belonging to this organization. 0

... 0

Two hours later. 0

Above the Blood Eagle Territory Headquarters, a black Airship swiftly passed by. 0

Standing at the Gunwale, Freya quietly gazed at the land growing more distant below. The strong winds at high altitude brushed against her cheeks, carrying a faint scent of grass. 0

From time to time, a Black Light flickered in her eyes. She seemed lost in thought. 0

As the Airship moved further away, the headquarters of the Blood Eagle Territory gradually became shrouded in mist, revealing only a vague outline. It was then that she turned and walked towards the cabin of the Airship. 0

The corridor of the cabin was illuminated by dim yellow crystal lights, and in the distance, two young wizards dressed in White Robes were conversing animatedly. 0

Upon seeing Freya approach, their expressions brightened, and they became respectful. 0

“Lady Freya.” 0

There were not many wizards on this trip aboard the Airship, most of whom were external members from the Blood Eagle Territory, meaning they were wizards who had joined later. 0

Although some among them seemed eager to engage with Freya, she showed no interest in reciprocating. 0

To their low-key greetings, she merely nodded lightly in acknowledgment. 0

Then she directly entered her room, leaving no time for further conversation. 0

With a 'thud', she closed the door behind her and slightly rolled up her sleeves. 0

Her previously unblemished arms began to blur, and dark eyes slowly emerged one by one. 0

These eyes were densely attached to Freya's arm, blinking curiously as they looked around, creating a very eerie atmosphere. 0

With the appearance of these eyes, a strong aura of decay and coldness rushed towards Freya, causing her to frown. 0

"Before long, the illusion magic combined with the Hidden Secret Art will probably be unable to conceal itself. The speed of this contamination seems to be even faster than I imagined. If I hadn't found the information about the Spring of Life in advance, it would have been troublesome if I had delayed any longer." 0

Feeling the Hellish Aura emanating from her two arms, Freya covered them again. 0

Then she took out a rune carving knife and several white cubes, beginning to create disposable Cursed Items in preparation for this Underworld venture. 0

The curse of hellish contamination was not simply about becoming a Hell Creature for Freya; it also meant that she could no longer leave the Hell World and practice the Meditation Method to train her mind or soul. 0

The power of an Ancient Wizard lies in their Bloodline and the transformation into forms of ancient powerful beings, yet their true soul and spirit remain human. 0

When the physical strength far exceeds that of the mind, the resulting side effects are not only a loss of control over the body but also other terrifying consequences. 0

For instance, the body's instincts can be infinitely amplified, turning a rational person into a beast that knows only how to survive by instinct. 0

To avoid such situations, Modern Wizards have abandoned the Bloodline path of Ancient Wizards and developed the Meditation Method, pursuing the transcendence and elevation of the soul. 0

As time passed, most powerful Ancient Creatures became extinct, and the legacy of Ancient Wizards gradually declined into mere legends or various ruins. 0

However, Freya sensed that these two different paths could completely form a complementary relationship. 0

By strengthening her body while also training her mind and soul, she could harness her instincts without losing her rationality. 0

This complementary approach seems to have a very high success rate in terms of feasibility, at least for now. 0

The Hell Creature is a special power formed from Death Qi and resentment. This power is strange and powerful, somewhat like a Spirit but colder than a soul. 0

Although Freya has not yet fully understood this power, she can discern through its aura that it is completely incompatible with the path she is on. 0

Three days after sunset. 0

The fiery red clouds reflect on the wasteland beneath the Airship, and the dry weeds are whipped up by the wind into layers of "waves." 0

In the wasteland, one can occasionally see towns enclosed by square stone walls and crisscrossing roads. 0

Far away from the Airship, a massive black castle stands alone in the wasteland. 0

Thick dark clouds float above the castle, occasionally illuminated by flashes of Blazing White lightning. 0

From the windows at the top of the ancient castle, one can occasionally see more than a dozen witches riding brooms, dressed in black robes and pointed hats, flying in and out. 0

Standing at the Gunwale, Freya squints as she watches the figures of the Black-Robed Witches. 0

"Is this frequency of activity indicative of war?" 0

The Northern Wind Wastes is considered one of the larger entrances to the Underworld, where it can also serve as a battlefield between Underworld Sorcerers and Surface Sorcerers. 0

However, although such frictional wars do occur, they are not very large in scale, with only occasional significant battles taking place. 0

However, judging by the current signs in the Witch Castle of the Wasteland, it seems that Freya has come at just the right time during their frequent wars. 0

"Well, I'll just see how it goes then." 0

After a brief contemplation, Freya stepped onto the Gunwale, holding a black leather suitcase in her hand. Then she leaped off the Airship. 0

The howling wind followed. 0

... 0

Later, in a dilapidated town not far from the Witch Castle. 0

Dressed in a black robe, Freya quietly arrived here, emanating a faint smell of blood, suggesting that her journey had not been without encounters. 0

In the town, the road paved with black stones occasionally revealed wizards dressed in similar black robes with their faces covered, as well as some armored figures wielding weapons known as Great Knights. 0

These individuals mostly wore grim expressions and maintained a certain distance from the surrounding pedestrians, surrounded by an almost imperceptible aura of bloodlust, making them seem quite formidable. 0

After wandering around the town for a while, Freya casually entered a tavern. 0

The tavern appeared very quiet, with only three black-robed figures locked in quiet conversation in a corner. 0

Freya's entrance did not attract their attention; they merely glanced at her before returning to their discussion. 0

Freya walked straight to the tavern counter, where an old man dressed in a Gray Robe was dozing off. Beside him lay a slender wooden staff, emanating a faint energy aura. 0

Glancing at the low-grade Cursed Items, Freya reached out and gently tapped the counter. 0

"Knock, knock, knock." 0

Awakened by the sound, the old man rubbed his eyes and sat up, looking a bit dazed. 0

"Customer, what do you need?" 0

Freya pulled a black bag from her waist and tossed it onto the counter with a clatter. 0

"A quiet empty room and a detailed map of the area." 0

The opening of the black bag revealed several thumb-sized Magic Stones, instantly waking the old man up. He quickly put away the black bag and hurriedly said, "I'll prepare the map right away, please wait a moment." 0

"Mm." 0

Freya nodded lightly, and soon, under the old man's guidance, they arrived at a door. 0

After entering the room, the old man left. Freya placed her leather suitcase on the table and then opened the door. 0

In the dim air, more than ten Wilderness Witches riding broomsticks flew swiftly in a line. 0

Freya looked in the direction where those witches had departed. In the distance, thick black smoke was slowly rising, and she could faintly hear the rumbling of explosions. 0

This broken town is not very far from the battlefield, but ordinary people have long since evacuated. Now, apart from a few apprentices and knights, most of the inhabitants are wizards who have come here to scavenge. 0

Even that old man in the Gray Robe just now possesses the strength of a Third-Rank Apprentice. With the Low-Level Enchanted Item in his hand, he is comparable to a newly promoted wizard, sufficient for self-defense. 0

After standing by the window for a while, the old man who had left earlier returned, this time holding a scroll of parchment. 0

"Esteemed guest, this is a detailed map of Skoll Town and its surroundings, even including half of the wasteland. Please—" 0

Before he could finish his sentence, Freya waved her hand. 0

"Put it on the table and leave." 0

The old man showed no signs of displeasure at Freya's words. He quickly placed the map on the table, then bowed slightly and exited the room, gently closing the door behind him. 0

Turning around, Freya picked up the parchment from the table and spread it out. 0

A very detailed map unfolded before her eyes. It seemed to have been enhanced with activation magic; some areas marked with forests or streams appeared to flow gently, looking incredibly lifelike. 0

As her gaze swept across the map, Freya quickly identified the entrance to the Underworld. 0

Most of Soulbug's memories had been consumed by her, including many hidden locations. 0

However, this entrance is relatively close to the battlefield. Given the current situation, it would not be wise to go there now. 0

"I'll have to wait until these people calm down for a bit; it should be better by tonight." 0

She paused, put down the map in her hand, and opened the leather suitcase on the table. 0

Inside, at the very front, lay a row of slender daggers glowing with a blue aura, followed by ten identical Azure Test Tubes and two bags filled with countless white cubes, along with a pile of purple seeds. 0

Aside from these disposable joke items, there was also a piece of Black Crystal shoulder armor at the back of the suitcase. 0

The shoulder armor was engraved with numerous floating runes, emanating a rich aura of energy. 0

Next to the shoulder armor was what appeared to be a folded Black Cross Sword, with a deep white mark in the middle, looking very beautiful. 0

Freya reached out, picked up the shoulder armor, and gently placed it on her right shoulder after aligning it with a groove on the inside. 0

With a click, the shoulder armor fit perfectly into place on Freya's shoulder, and a gray aura flashed. 0

Freya felt her body slightly sink, enveloped by a heavy sensation. 0

Then, Freya unfastened her Robe and began to insert the blue slender daggers into her waist and behind her back, within reach of her Tentacles. (To be continued) 0
