Chapter Three Hundred Forty-One:
Two hours later.
In front of a stream, Freya slowly straightened up and put away the dagger in her hand. Her face was slightly pale as she looked at the corpse half-submerged in the water.
Red liquid drifted away slowly with the current.
"The peak of Level One, indeed a waste of effort."
This battle had nearly drained more than half of her mental energy and Cursed Items just to barely kill this wizard.
Moreover, in this battle, most of the spells she used were auxiliary in nature; it was her enhanced physical qualities from the Royal Serpent Bloodline that truly made a difference.
However, against a wizard of this level, physical attacks could easily lead to severe injuries if one wasn't careful.
Freya relied on her excellent combat experience to only expend mental energy and Cursed Items without sustaining any substantial injuries.
After resting for a moment, Freya suddenly turned her head with a somewhat cold expression.
Not far away, a Soulbug dressed in a gray-brown robe was walking over briskly.
He ignored Freya standing aside and skillfully moved the corpse away from the stream, flipping it over before beginning to search it.
With an icy gaze fixed on the Soulbug below her, Freya slowly spoke up.
"When do you plan to tell me the location?"
Upon hearing Freya's words, Soulbug did not turn his head.
"Wait a moment, I haven't finished checking yet."
Before he could finish speaking, a cold glint flashed in Freya's eyes. Without a second thought, she drew the Black Dagger from her waist and thrust it toward Soulbug's back.
Clang!
A crisp sound rang out as the dagger surprisingly bounced off his back, tearing his robe and revealing a black, hard-shelled object underneath.
Suddenly attacked, Soulbug froze for a moment before reacting with anger, sitting up straight.
"What are you doing, Goat Sister? Do you want to ruin our deal?"
Ignoring the previous attack, a cold smile slowly appeared on Freya's gloomy face.
"Is this what you think? Stop wasting time. Tell me the address now, and I might let this matter go."
In her perception, the Soulbug in front of her only emitted Crystallization Level mental fluctuations. Moreover, the fluctuations were unstable, indicating he had just recently entered this level.
Noticing that Freya was ready to break their agreement, Soulbug bizarrely revealed a smile.
"It seems that Goat Sister really doesn't intend to proceed with this transaction. But do you think I will give you the information just like that? Hehe, even if you can defeat me, you can't kill me. If you listen to me..."
As he spoke, Freya's gaze revealed true killing intent.
"Enough. Let's get started."
In a gentle whisper, from the nearby forest, four barbaric wizards clad in white beast-skin armor suddenly charged out.
A violent gust of wind swirled around the four of them as they burst forth, and at the same time, eight slender, spinning beams of Flowing Light shot toward Freya, precisely aimed at her Soulbug.
Clang! Clang! Clang!
The sound of metal clashing erupted suddenly.
With a hiss, a silver axe was deflected and embedded deeply into the ground beside Freya's feet.
Freya's expression darkened as she stared ahead. At this moment, Soulbug's robe had been completely torn apart, revealing something resembling black armor underneath that glimmered with a faint Black Light, looking very sturdy.
Exposing the bug's head, Soulbug's pincers opened and closed slightly.
"You actually—"
Boom!
A massive fist slammed directly into his chest, forcing the words he was about to say back down his throat.
Arthur, engulfed in White Flame, spun forcefully and with a crack, drove Soulbug's body hard into the ground.
Then he drew his Warhammer from his back and quickly murmured an incantation. The hammerhead flashed with White Light before crashing down toward the buried Soulbug.
Boom!
A muffled explosion mixed with intense White Flame erupted from the pit.
After a long while, Arthur slowly pulled out the Warhammer that had been driven into the ground, the hammerhead kicking up small stones, and the White Flame gradually dissipated.
He then respectfully turned around and addressed Freya.
"Milady, I have controlled my power and did not kill him. How do you wish to handle this?"
Freya stood in place, her brow slightly furrowed as she looked at the deep ravine ahead. The Soulbug, completely black, seemed to have fainted, lying motionless.
"Bind him. I will personally interrogate him later."
"Yes!" Arthur nodded and waved his hand at the remaining three.
However, just as the three were about to pull the Soulbug out of the pit, its seemingly unconscious form suddenly shifted.
With a powerful force, it broke free from their grasp. Two transparent wings suddenly unfurled from its back, and it flew away at high speed, quickly becoming a black dot in the distance.
"Damn it! I will remember you! Barbarians' wizards!! Just wait for my revenge!" a hoarse voice echoed from the air.
This sudden turn of events left the three momentarily stunned; no one expected that the Second-Level Wizard Arthur's fierce attack would leave it unharmed and able to escape.
Meanwhile, Freya's expression darkened suddenly as she lightly snapped her fingers.
A faint Azure Wind Flow immediately coiled around her feet, and then her figure transformed into a white shadow as she chased after the black dot in the sky.
Arthur and the others exchanged glances and paused for a moment before running in Freya's direction.
Sparse trees rapidly retreated under the influence of Wind Magic, and the presence of Arthur and the others grew increasingly distant. Freya no longer concealed the legacy of King Cobra.
She suddenly waved her hand, and a mass of gray clouds gathered around her, causing her entire figure to slowly disappear within the shadows.
In the air.
Soulbug flew swiftly like a black beetle, with transparent wings buzzing softly, creating a bit of noise.
He glanced down at his chest, where a clear white hammer mark remained, still flickering with small white flames.
A flash of black light passed through his fist-sized compound eyes, and the scar on his chest began to heal slowly, while the remaining White Flame gradually dissipated.
This guy seemed to specialize in physical attributes as an Underworld Sorcerer. He had almost no offensive capabilities but compensated with extremely strong defense.
At a level one Crystallization, Arthur was able to fully recover in a very short time against a Second-Level Wizard without any spells or potions, which demonstrated this guy's terrifying physique.
However, just as his body was beginning to recover, a massive aura suddenly pressed down from above him, casting a huge shadow over him. (To be continued)
