Chapter Three Hundred Twenty-Four:
As the plant energy tide gradually slowed, Freya walked over again.
The large black hole was already covered by a layer of green moss, and the faint green lights inside resembled fireflies, illuminating the area beautifully.
The rich life force completely dispelled the eerie coldness that had been present earlier.
Freya scanned her surroundings; the energy of Plant Energy was contaminating this forest, with plants radiating a green aura slowly spreading out.
Some dark trees quickly withered under this contamination, turning into black clumps that fell to the ground, only to be transformed back into nutrients for new plant growth.
"Indeed, everything in this area is abnormal. Let's see how far you can run from the entrance to hell!"
She gently pressed her hand on the edge of the hole, and a Rune Array emitting a faint blue light appeared on the ground.
At the center of the Rune Array was a Goat Head with sharp horns, its crimson eyes calmly gazing at Freya.
After glancing at the Secret Mark she had left behind, she jumped directly into the hole.
As Freya leaped down, the green fluorescence formed by the Energy Particles dispersed immediately.
The sound of strong winds filled her ears, her golden hair flowing wildly as the sensation of weightlessness made Freya frown slightly.
She waved her hand lightly, and a cloud of white mist automatically surrounded her, slowing her descent.
The surrounding Green Light Spots rushed past her eyes rapidly, while below her was an endless expanse of darkness.
After falling for two minutes, the light brought by the plant energy tide gradually faded, and the surroundings returned to complete darkness.
Aside from the wind in her ears indicating that she was still descending, there were no other references, as if she were suspended in a void of darkness.
Freya gently snapped her fingers. The White Mist surrounding her suddenly lit up with a faint white glow, illuminating the walls of the cave.
Half an hour later, she still had not touched the ground beneath her feet; it seemed as if this pit was truly endless.
"Logically, even if I haven't reached the bottom, I should have arrived at the volcanic rock layer or something similar. Yet, there has been no change in temperature, humidity, or air composition at all."
Freya furrowed her brow as she stared into the darkness below. She felt uncertain about whether jumping into this pit was the right decision.
At this distance, even the marks she left behind felt intermittent.
Just as she hesitated about returning to the surface, suddenly, Freya sensed that her feeling of weightlessness was gradually diminishing.
It wasn't just the White Mist around her; it was a tangible sensation. At the same time, a cold and decaying aura mixed with an inexplicable sound of water came from beneath her feet.
'Splash—splash—'
The sound of water resembled that of a rushing river.
"Eh, this kind of aura..."
Feeling this presence, a hint of astonishment flashed in Freya's eyes. It seemed she had thought of something.
Before she could confirm her thoughts, a soft 'pop' echoed, and the persistent darkness around her suddenly brightened. This unexpected situation caught Freya off guard, and she instinctively controlled the White Mist to lift her body.
However, the next scene made her slightly open her mouth in surprise.
"What is this?"
At that moment, she realized that she was actually floating in a dark gray space, with a vast black river beneath her. The surging waters roared as they rushed by.
A strong smell of blood and decay wafted from the river.
Floating high above, Freya could vaguely see the white bones and faces rising and falling in the river.
"Is this the Underworld River connected to Transcendence?"
She never expected that what she thought was the lair of Hell Creatures would actually be a passage to hell; for a moment, Freya felt it was hard to believe.
She slightly raised her head. Above her was a circular hole through which the stone walls of the cave were clearly visible.
It looked as if it were embedded in the air.
Freya noticed that besides the one above her, there were two or three more of these black holes not far away, but their diameters were much larger than the one above her.
It seemed that such things were not uncommon here, almost like a natural environment.
Curiosity sparkled in Freya's eyes.
"Is this the truth behind Hell's Mouth?"
Suddenly, a sharp sound emerged from the nearest black hole.
Freya suddenly turned her head and discovered that a large number of inexplicable objects were surging out of the black hole, as if a mixture of countless bloody remnants was rolling out like garbage.
Then, with a 'splash, splash,' they fell into the rolling river.
Just as Freya thought these objects were about to be engulfed by the river, a creature with a huge mouth silently rose from the water, opening its Big Mouth to completely envelop the pile of things and swallow them whole.
Freya noticed that there were no teeth in the creature's Big Mouth, only countless smoke-like tentacles, and its body, which was just above the water's surface, was about the size of an ordinary whale.
Strangely, on the creature's grayish-white-skinned head, apart from its mouth, there were no visible organs like eyes or nostrils.
Seeing this bizarre creature, Freya frowned.
"Hell Creature?"
Even from a distance, she could still feel the thick Bloodline Aura flowing around that being.
After swallowing the pile of flesh, the creature sank back into the river and quickly disappeared from sight.
Floating quietly beneath the black hole and watching the roaring river below, Freya fell into deep thought.
In legends, hell is the resting place for all souls, a sanctuary for all life.
However, in the eyes of the Wizarding World, hell is merely a realm filled with countless powerful intelligent beings.
Compared to other communicating worlds, hell is one of the few worlds capable of peaceful cooperation.
In addition to producing various spirits, it also harbors many strange Alien Creatures.
Most of these beings possess extremely strong contamination abilities that can quickly alter the nature of a living being, imbuing it with characteristics of hell.
Therefore, regarding Hell Creatures, all Wizard Organizations maintain a strong attitude to prevent entry into the Wizarding World.
However, even so, many Native Creatures of the Wizarding World have been contaminated and mutated.
In ancient times, the Wizarding World had a brief border with Hell, allowing human wizards to experience rapid development.
Some Negative Energy and the Necromancy Department even reached their peak during this period.
However, after this brief contact, some special areas of the Wizarding World suffered severe invasions, forming dead zones similar to Hell.
Only creatures of Hellish nature can survive there.
For example, Sweet Death City and Dark Gorge, located near the Black Sea, are world-class aftereffects caused by that time. (To be continued)
