Chapter Three Hundred Fifteen: 0

Three months later. 0

At Lakefront Manor in Crimson Plain. 0

Outside White Manor, several tall brown trees have been planted, densely surrounding the area and blocking out the sun. 0

The forest is filled with green Thorny Vines, layered upon each other, leaving almost no space to step. 0

The broad branches and leaves of the trees nearly cover the entire estate, obscuring what lies within. 0

Only a narrow yellow path leads to the Red Gate of the manor. 0

The entire estate resembles a house in a Fairy Tale, shrouded in an eerie and mysterious atmosphere. 0

The lakeside nearby is also overgrown with various vegetation, with thick roots resembling ghostly Tentacles sinking into the deep lake. 0

The dark lake water occasionally ripples, faintly revealing the tangled aquatic plants beneath. 0

At some point, a conical Soil Island has appeared in the center of the lake. 0

The island is about the size of a pavilion, completely bare on top, smooth enough to reflect a faint glow under the sunlight. 0

In the afternoon, the gloomy sky gradually becomes oppressive as dark rain clouds begin to gather rapidly. 0

Occasionally, one or two Blazing White Lightning bolts flash through the thick clouds, accompanied by a low rumble. 0

The wind rustles through the surrounding giant trees, creating a whispering sound. 0

The black rain clouds make the earth seem as if it has entered nightfall prematurely. 0

Half an hour later, large raindrops begin to fall heavily. 0

Fine yellow dust splashed up from the ground, quickly transforming into a stream of yellow mud flowing toward the lake. 0

"Boom!" 0

A muffled thunder mixed with Blazing White lightning instantly turned the surroundings as bright as day. 0

The calm surface of the lake seemed to stir due to the heavy rain. 0

Freya, clad in a White Robe, slowly walked out from the manor. Above her head was a translucent shield that blocked the rain. 0

Her black boots pressed into the wet, soft ground, leaving clear footprints. 0

Reaching the lakeshore, she calmly gazed at Conical Island in the distance. With her keen eyesight, she could see that beneath the island, the lake was riddled with numerous caves. 0

Dark serpentine shadows continuously slithered in and out from within, seemingly celebrating the falling rain. 0

"It's almost time." 0

She glanced down at the slender amber-colored White Phosphorus in her hand, then stepped onto the lake's surface. 0

The churning lake acted like a solid ground beneath Freya's body, allowing her to walk step by step toward the island in the lake. 0

"Snap!" 0

Her foot landed on solid ground as Freya nimbly jumped onto the island and took out a piece of Red Crystal from her waist pouch. 0

The crystal emitted a strong scent of blood, wrapping around Freya's hand with an almost rebellious energy. 0

At the center of this Red Crystal, a curled-up Crimson-Eyed Lizard could be clearly seen. 0

After playing with the Red Crystal for a moment, she directly tossed it into the lake. 0

"Splosh!" 0

Like ice water dropping into a hot oil pot, as Freya tossed the crystal into the lake, the entire surface of the lake instantly boiled. 0

Thick black serpentine shadows rolled and stirred in the water, intertwining with each other as if competing for something. 0

Before long, the originally dark lake water turned a shade of red, and a faint smell of blood wafted from the surface. 0

Watching the boiling scene in the lake quietly, Freya gently snapped her fingers. 0

A yellow High-Back Chair quickly rose up from the ground behind her. 0

"The essence of Bloodline accumulated over two months should be enough to Collapse three. Now all that's left is to wait." 0

Muttering to herself, she sat down and watched for a while longer before closing her eyes to enter a meditative state. 0

Three is neither long nor short. For a wizard, it is merely the duration of a routine experiment. 0

For Freya, who had entered Second-Level Wizard status, waiting for three without food or drink had no effect whatsoever. 0

After three. 0

The torrential rain showed no signs of stopping, and the water level of the lake had risen to a point where it was almost reaching the island's surface. 0

Only the boiling lake had returned to calm. The red lake water also regained its original color. 0

Freya gradually opened her eyes from meditation, and a green light flashed in her azure blue eyes. 0

Standing up from the chair, she looked at the many black Mud Pythons that had grown in the lake. She nodded in satisfaction. 0

"They've grown just as expected. Let's give it a try." 0

Pausing for a moment, Freya took out several black-and-white translucent Spheres from her waist pouch and tossed them around the island's perimeter. 0

Then she slightly spread her arms, and azure runes slowly rotated in her bright blue eyes. Large segments of incantations flowed from her mouth. 0

A translucent giant white Rune Array rapidly spread out from her center, causing the previously calm surface of the lake to ripple gently. 0

A crisp sound echoed across the lake, as if summoned, and thick black Mud Pythons surged out from the countless caves on the islands, quickly intertwining with one another. 0

In the haze, a vague hymn slowly drifted over the lake's surface, as a layer of white mist rose from the White Rune. 0

Within this rising White Mist, a massive Python Ball quietly formed. 0

Watching the enormous black sphere at the bottom of the lake and sensing its aura, Freya gradually revealed a contemplative expression. 0

The evolution of life has never been peaceful; survival, combat, and reproduction are constant struggles. Even higher forms of life merely adopt different methods; their essence remains unchanged. When environmental changes impact a species' survival, they either adapt submissively or strive to overcome it. 0

Unlike the artificial self-evolution of wizards, the evolution of Ancient Beasts is incredibly arduous. 0

In that era, although every creature continuously mutated to adapt for survival, whenever environmental changes greatly exceeded biological evolution, one or two species would emerge to ensure their survival and continuation. 0

While Freya was unaware of the ancient environment at that time, she did not hinder herself from simulating this process with her knowledge. 0

"This is the nurturing of life." 0

Through her mental connection with her Magical Pet, Freya gradually sensed that within the Python Ball, a new and distinct life was quietly blossoming. 0

This life was fragile, yet its essence was remarkably strong—like a beam of light piercing through darkness. 0

As this life was born, the surrounding dark Python Ball began to solidify into gray matter, slowly enveloping it. 0

It gradually sank to the bottom of the lake. 0

As time passed, the Mud Python connected to Freya mentally also began to weaken. 0

"Snap." 0

A faint sound echoed from her palm. 0

Gently opening her hand, her own mark cracked open, transforming into several shards of light that dissipated into the air. 0

It felt as if her vision suddenly dimmed. Freya frowned, clearly sensing a part of her body being drawn away and rapidly absorbed. 0

This sensation was quite strange and made her very uncomfortable. 0

"Is it dead?" 0

After a brief moment of contemplation, she retracted her hand and pointed a finger in the air. A green light slowly fell onto the surface of the lake, entering the gradually petrifying Python Ball. 0

The surrounding green vegetation quickly turned grayish-white, then disintegrated into powder in the rain. 0

Amidst the vanishing plants, clusters of green light points gathered and flew towards the Python Ball. 0

Like fireflies, the light points scattered across the entire lake surface, while Freya remained standing on the muddy island, her expression calm and serene. 0

"This should be enough." 0

As all the light points merged into the Mud Python, its life force immediately expanded a bit more. 0

However, the nurturing of life was not completed in an instant. After finishing these tasks, Freya sat back down in her chair. 0

Half a month later. 0

The azure sky had no clouds in sight. 0

The mirror-like lake reflected everything around it. 0

Freya sat on the island. Beside her was a square table made of compacted earth, adorned with some delicious desserts. 0

A thick black-covered book was held in her hands as she quietly observed. 0

Suddenly, a large bubble emerged from the surface of the lake. 0

With a pop, Freya closed the book and stared intently at the lake's surface. 0

"Is it coming out?" 0

A green streak suddenly flashed through her eyes, creating a ripple across the water. 0

Looking at the green figure, Freya's serious expression revealed a hint of joy. 0

She walked to the edge of the island, extended her arm, and opened her palm. A circle of azure slime shed from her body, gradually forming an azure humanoid figure identical to her. 0

Watching the elemental clone emerge, Freya pointed at the green figure darting around in the lake. 0

"Catch it for me!" 0

The clone nodded lightly and then transformed back into a large mass of Azure Liquid, sinking into the water. 0

Bang, bang, bang. 0

Large white waves occasionally erupted from the lake's surface. 0

The clone, formed from wind elements, maintained its speed even underwater. 0

After waiting for two minutes, with a splash, the elemental clone flew up from the lake's surface. 0

In its chest, a green snake no thicker than a finger curled up weakly, seemingly trembling in fear. 0

The snake was half a meter long, with rare deep blue eyes filled with fear, and a layer of translucent membrane clung to its body. 0

"The Colbera King Snake has finally succeeded!" 0

Seeing the snake's appearance and feeling a faint resonance with the legacy, Freya felt an indescribable excitement within her. 0

However, just as she was about to touch the snake, she suddenly frowned slightly. 0

"Wait, without mental energy, does it not have its own thoughts?" 0

Previously, many Mud Pythons she had cultivated possessed a small amount of mental energy shortly after birth; this was an instinctive gift of Ancient Beasts, a survival skill. 0

But this mutated King Cobra had nothing at all. 0

"It seems like it relies solely on instinct like a wild beast. Is this the price of artificial catalysis?" 0

She gently shook her head. Although it lacked mental energy, the mutated Bloodline of the King Cobra was indeed real. 0

"I was originally planning to let it go and just absorb it." 0

After a pause, she opened her palm towards her clone, and the small green light in her palm slowly formed into a similar Green Serpent that delved into the clone's body. 0

The Green Serpent quickly coiled around and then forcefully pulled toward Freya's palm. 0

"Hiss" 0

The physical Green Serpent slowly entered Freya's body, and then Freya began to absorb the Royal Serpent Bloodline according to the methods outlined in the Ancient Inheritance. 0

Streams of green blood were injected into her body, causing her deep blue eyes to gradually be veiled by a layer of green light. 0

Freya instinctively raised her head as intense pain surged from within her. 0

This was the initial transformation of the Bloodline upon herself; the unavoidable pain spread throughout her body. 0

Freya felt her physical condition rapidly deteriorating, the powerful strength she had gained from the King Cobra absorption technique was being absorbed back into her own blood. 0

As the blood absorbed, a mark resembling a coiled Green Serpent appeared on her right palm. 0

In Freya's mind, scenes of inherited memories were once again triggered. 0

Azure Sea, Gray Swamp, the earth was tearing apart, and suddenly a pitch-black rift appeared in the sky, with bizarre and powerful creatures crashing into this world. 0

The entire world seemed to be shrouded in a layer of purple haze, as numerous beings not belonging to this world ravaged and slaughtered. 0

Then one massive Native Creature after another fought back against them. 0

The once fertile land was thrown into disarray by such intense battles, even the sea was stirred, and the continents crumbled. 0

But these creatures were also cast into the enormous rift in the void. 0

"Void Darkness will once again descend upon this beautiful world!" echoed countless overlapping evil voices throughout the realm. 0

"Seek the meaning of survival, guard the mission of Inheritance Swamp." 0

Her gaze swept far away, passing through vast forests, towering mountains, and wide rivers, traversing everything. 0

Then her entire body was placed high in the air, where a lush green wetland appeared before Freya at the boundary with the ocean. 0

Within it, a gigantic Green Serpent coiled in the wetland, gazing at her with a tranquil and peaceful expression. 0

'Whoosh!' 0

The sensation of weightlessness enveloped her, and her vision immediately fell into darkness. 0

After an unknown period of time, Freya awoke from the darkness, opening her eyes. 0

The glaring sunlight shone down on her, causing her to instinctively raise her hand to shield herself. 0

But when the Green Serpent mark appeared before her eyes, Freya was momentarily stunned. 0

"Is this the Bloodline of the King Cobra?" 0

A flood of memories surged back into her mind, making it hard for Freya to believe for a moment. 0

"Those things are not illusions?" 0

The shattered scenes of the beast war and the enormous wetland that was larger than the entire Cloud City were vividly imprinted in her mind. 0

"Legacy of the Mission" 0

Her gaze swept around; the lake gently rippled in the breeze, and in the distance, she could vaguely see her white estate among the dense trees. 0

Freya instinctively touched the King Cobra Mark on her palm. 0

"Those fragments of memory belong to the King Cobra." 0

She vaguely felt that while accepting this legacy, she seemed to have also taken on the will of the King Cobra. 0

In a daze, she thought of the Storm Leviathan in Sky City. According to Shirley, it was a king that had lost its meaning. (To be continued...) 0
