Chapter 291:
With a snap, Freya grasped the silver skull and crushed it without a second thought.
With a crack, the skull shattered, and a large amount of silver light emanated from the fragments, swirling throughout the room.
"Come back to me!!!"
She suddenly opened her wide eyes, and the Azure Rune in her pupils emitted a powerful pulling force under the influence of the silver light.
The scattered grains of mental sand paused for a moment, then quickly flew back toward the direction they had previously scattered from.

"Fortunately, I bought the Second-Level Repair Book; if it were a Third-Level one, it might have been troublesome."
As she felt grateful for her decision, she began to murmur the incantation to activate the Repair Book.
Holding the book with one hand, she slowly pressed her other hand against its surface.
"Hiss."
A soft sound emerged as white butterfly-shaped light spots flew out from the pages of the book.
These white butterfly-shaped light spots were only as large as a fingertip and were numerous. Once they flew out, they automatically surrounded her.
Freya's eyes lit up with the Azure Symbol again as she slightly parted her lips.
All these butterflies immediately surged into her mouth.
In an instant, Freya felt as if she had swallowed a large cup of icy mint tea; an unusually cold sensation spread from her mouth to her stomach.
The cracked Mental Crystal began to rapidly repair itself under the effect of the Repair Book, with butterfly-shaped light spots continuously filling in the gaps.
Half an hour later, the Crystal had completely returned to its original state.
At this moment, the once thick Repair Book had also vanished entirely.
Freya still maintained her posture of holding the book, and new runes slowly started to appear in her eyes within the Azure Symbol Array.
Tadpole-shaped Runes kept attaching themselves, causing Freya's Power Field to ripple around her.

With a 'squelch,' a slimy object slowly emerged from the ground beside her.
The object twisted continuously, and soon a strange male face, known as Tall Shadow, appeared before Freya.
"Hello, I am Milly Number Twenty-Five. How may I assist you today?"
Looking at this new face, Freya remained expressionless and spoke calmly.
"I would like to inquire about joining Milly's Toy Room. Can you discuss this with me?"
Upon hearing Freya's words, he raised an eyebrow.
"Are you expressing your intention to join us?"
"Yes," Freya nodded firmly. "However, I would like to understand the nature of your organization beforehand."
"I'm afraid I don't have the authority to disclose that information. Please hold on for a moment."
His expression suddenly froze, as if he had become dazed.
However, this change lasted only a few seconds before he returned to normal.
He blinked, his pupils contracting slightly, then smiled at Freya.
"Alright, I am a member of the Human Resources Department here; you can call me Kage. I can answer your questions."
Ignoring the strange look on Freya's face, he continued.
"If you wish to join us, there are two options available. One is to become a formal member like any regular Wizard Organization. This requires you to offer your Soul Resonance, undergo a trial, sign an agreement, and then you will be one of our members."
Furrowing her brow, Freya continued, "What about the second option?"
"The second option is to become an external member. The requirements are much more relaxed, and the tests are very simple. The relationship between external members and us is similar to that of mercenaries. You can work for us or take on missions, and we will provide equal rewards. However, there are mandatory projects that must be completed each year. Other than that, there are no additional benefits. Simple enough, right?"
"External members?"

Freya had already joined Crimson Eagle, and all she needed was a place to keep secrets. Since there was an option for external membership, there was no need to get involved with another Wizard Organization.
It's important to understand that treason is a serious crime.
"Alright then."
Kage shrugged but didn't seem to show any emotion regarding Freya's choice of the second option.
"In addition to completing mandatory tasks, external members must sign a confidentiality agreement stating that no one else can know you belong to Giant Whale. The missions you undertake will earn you points, which can be used to acquire resources, information, or knowledge. The more difficult the mission you complete, the more points you earn."
"Mm."
Freya nodded lightly; this points system was quite similar to the contribution system in Crimson Eagle. To gain rewards, one must put in effort—easy enough to understand.

He turned around and walked briskly toward the corner of another street. Freya paused for a moment but quickly followed behind.
From the position of the Giant Whale, Freya could sense the powerful foundation of this organization.
Teleportation technology is something only top-tier Wizard Organizations possess; it involves exploring other worlds. Even Cloud City's Sky City does not use it as frequently, yet here it seemed quite ordinary.
Freya even felt that this phenomenon would only occur in the Underworld.
Soon, the two crossed several streets and arrived in front of an ordinary Shop. The Shop had no name, only a simple sketch of a castle engraved beside it.
It was the same symbol Freya had seen on the wall before entering the Toy Room.
Kage stood in front of the Shop and pointed to the half-open door.
"This is it. I'll be waiting for you inside."
"Okay."
Freya nodded, glanced at Kage who was slowly melting away, and walked straight in.
Inside the Shop was a dimly lit corridor, with strange oil paintings hanging on the walls beside it.
The entire corridor was silent, with only Freya's footsteps echoing.
Freya instinctively glanced at the oil painting beside her and noticed that the figures and scenery within it seemed to be moving as if they were real.
It was as if this was not merely an oil painting, but rather a series of windows.
After browsing through the strange oil painting for a while, Freya reached the end.
There stood a large, colorful door covered in various childish doodles.
Looking at the door, Freya reached out and gently knocked.
"Knock, knock, knock."
"Come in."
Kage's voice came from inside.
With permission granted, Freya pushed open the door and stepped inside.
The room was a simple office, with several bookshelves against the walls and a black desk positioned in the center.
Behind the desk stood a tall, thin figure draped in a black robe.
"Hello, let me reintroduce myself. I am Kage, a member of the Human Resources Department responsible for personnel recruitment here."
"Hello, I am Freya, Freya Green," Freya replied calmly.
In her perception, the person before her emitted no aura of power or mental fluctuations; they seemed entirely like an ordinary mortal.
However, she certainly would not regard this person as an ordinary individual. It could only be that this person either used something to mask their aura or possessed strength far beyond hers, to the extent that she could not sense it at her level.
"Alright, Sister Freya. Since you wish to join as an external member, there is a routine procedure: you will need to complete an assessment task. This task will be randomly assigned based on your abilities and generally will not exceed your capabilities by much; it should be quite simple."
He took out a black plate from under the desk and placed it on the table.
"You can put your hand on it, and after a while, the mission will appear."
"Okay," Freya nodded.
Looking at the Token on the table, she briefly scanned it before reaching out to place her hand on it.
