Chapter 260:
The other end of the Big Mouth seemed to connect to another unknown space, continuously sucking in numerous Black Bugs without any signs of stopping.
On the contrary, the surrounding Black Bugs were rapidly decreasing as the Big Mouth absorbed more.
Sani wore a faint smirk on her face.
Her armor was made from a tooth of a powerful creature from the Abyssal Hell.
Not only was it incredibly sharp, but it also possessed strong devouring and corrosive abilities. Although these Black Bugs could bizarrely ignore the defensive Force Field, they were helpless against such devouring power.
Moreover, the weapon known as the Black Blade was merely one of her external trump cards; her true strength lay within herself.
However, when the Big Mouth in her abdomen had absorbed a certain amount, her entire armor unexpectedly began to tremble slightly.
"Hmm?"
Feeling the tremor of her armor, Sani furrowed her brows. Suddenly, she seemed to sense something, and her expression changed slightly.
She shouted an unknown incantation and simultaneously yanked at the Big Mouth in her abdomen with her right hand.
‘Kga!’
‘Hiss!’
It sounded like air leaking out. Sani pulled hard, and surprisingly, she managed to strip off her entire armor, revealing the Dark Red Robe underneath.
After discarding her armor into the pile of Black Bugs, she retreated at an incredible speed.
The Jet Black Armor that was absorbed into the pile of Black Bug instantly transformed into a liquid-like substance, rolling around as if it were alive. The surrounding Black Bug quickly gathered around it.
Before long, a massive Black Sphere formed.
However, this black sphere seemed to be continuously expanding, not due to the gathering of Black Bug, but because of the liquid armor inside.
Sani, who was rapidly retreating, looked at the increasingly large Black Sphere with a fluctuating expression.
"To think it can even pierce through alternate dimensions, this kind of bug..."
When the Black Sphere expanded to over ten meters high, it suddenly exploded with a loud bang.
Thick black gelatin splattered everywhere, and wherever it landed, dense black smoke billowed up, affecting even the Black Insects.
In an instant, the entire area was cleared of Black Bug.
But soon, they were replaced by more Black Bug surging up from the ground.
Watching the explosion of the Black Sphere from a distance, Sani displayed a pained expression.
"Indeed very strange; it seems we need to gather for a discussion."
She turned around, pressing her right hand against her chest. A burst of black Flowing Light flashed, and she transformed into several black lines that shot toward Bruce and his companion.
Not long after she left, the ground where the dark armor had just exploded trembled violently.
A gigantic head slowly rose from the ground, while numerous Black Bug seemed to respond to a command and continuously gathered toward that head. Before long, they formed a torso and limbs.
The giant composed of Black Bugs slightly bent down, and a swarm of gray insects suddenly flew out from its head.
They slowly coalesced into a figure cloaked in black that landed on the ground.
The figure looked at the distant Sani, who had transformed into several black lines, paused for a moment, and then exploded again, turning back into a large mass of gray insects that rushed toward her.
...
While Sani was elementalizing and hurrying along, she suddenly sensed an extremely dangerous aura erupting behind her.
This aura exuded a chilling sensation, completely opposite to the scorching heat of the Abyss.
Moreover, this aura was approaching at a speed that matched her own.
"What is that?"
She instinctively turned her head to take a glance but was immediately stunned.
Not far behind her, several giants formed from countless Black Bugs were rapidly running toward her. These giants occasionally transformed into an Insect Sea and then reformed into humanoid shapes within the Insect Sea, where countless black Faces shrieked in unison.
Surrounding the Black Bug giants was a vast swarm of gray insects, so numerous that they could block out the sun.
Even the dark red sky seemed to be gradually darkening.
This bizarre scene sent chills down her spine, making her scalp tingle as if it were about to explode.
"Hey! What is that!?"
After just a glance, she stopped thinking about it and pushed her speed to the limit once more.
The presence of the numerous Black Bugs had suddenly changed, as if a very powerful entity had appeared, one whose strength she could not contend with.
"Things have taken a turn! We must connect immediately!"
...
In a certain area of the Biological Zone.
Bruce was patiently setting something up, occasionally placing white spherical objects on the ground to form a massive hexagram pattern.
Within this hexagram was a mass of writhing black crystals.
Beside him, the Old Wizard was meticulously studying a fist-sized Black Bug that had been dead for some time.
The two had originally planned to pursue until they reached the Nest, but unexpectedly, the detected Nest within the Black Crystal had left its original location and was moving rapidly in a certain direction.
At this moment, they discussed and set up rune traps along the Nest's route to eliminate it once and for all.
After arranging the Rune Array, Bruce straightened up and intended to take out the Black Crystal to check the location of the Nest when suddenly an Azure Light flashed at his fingertips.
Sani's urgent voice came from within.
"Bruce! Things have taken a turn! The three of us must connect and use that thing!"
"Sister Sani, what is it?" Bruce furrowed his brow slightly upon hearing Sani's tone.
"This is not Nest! There are intelligent beings controlling Black Bug! I'm heading to your area now! Get ready!"
Sani spoke quickly, disconnecting the communication before Bruce could ask anything.
Seeing Bruce's unusual reaction, Old Wizard dropped the Black Bug in his hand and asked in confusion, "What's wrong? What happened?"
Looking at the severed mental link of Wizard's Mark, Bruce replied uncertainly, "It seems that Sister Sani has discovered something that requires us to use Warfare-Level Sorcery."
"Oh, I see."
Just as he was about to ask more, the distant dark red sky suddenly dimmed, and a large mass of grayish clouds rapidly spread toward them.
Suddenly, both of them seemed to sense something, their expressions changing simultaneously as they exchanged glances.
Bruce quickly pulled out a pink Red Bead from his waist pouch and tossed it into the magic circle.
"That aura! It's a Hell Creature! Sister Sani is almost here! We need to start preparing!"
"Okay!"
Without further ado, Old Wizard nodded, raised his hands high, and began chanting a deep incantation. The incantation was a mix of Abyssal Magic and another language, sounding like a lion's roar.
As he chanted, an invisible energy radiated from him, surrounded by countless flickering flames.
Beside him, Bruce pressed both hands on the Rune Array, and with a hiss, the writhing Crystal in the center of the Rune Array quickly cracked open. A black Black Pyramid Tower was unexpectedly summoned by him. At the top of the tower was a slowly opening White Eye, from which a faint White Light emanated.
Just as he summoned the Black Pyramid Tower, several black Thin Lines suddenly appeared to his left. These Thin Lines quickly twisted and transformed into a girl in a Red Robe who looked to be only sixteen or seventeen years old.
Seeing Sani appear, Bruce frowned immediately.
"Sister Sani, where is your Black Blade?"
"It exploded!" Sani replied in a low voice, her gaze fixed on the rapidly approaching gray clouds and the spreading Black Swarm above.
Suddenly, she turned to the other Old Wizard who was still chanting beside her.
"Warren, are you ready?"
"Almost there! Hold them off for three minutes!!"
With his hands raised high, Warren suddenly brought them together and pulled apart with a bang. A Pitch-Black Shadow slowly emerged between his hands.
The shadow was faint but exuded a terrifying aura, within which one could vaguely see a Lizard-like Fierce Head.
"Good!"
Sani and Bruce nodded simultaneously.
In the distance, the Black Insect Sea gradually approached, and within one area, a massive black Face began to coalesce, larger than the surrounding giants, its gaze fixed intently on the tiny figures below.
"Ah, Advanced Taste of Blood and Flesh! Eat him, eat their bodies!"
It was as if countless overlapping voices shouted in various languages, including the common tongue of the Wizarding World.
Looking at the Black Bugs spread across the ground, Bruce lightly tapped the nearby Black Pyramid Tower while addressing Sani.
"Indeed, they are intelligent beings! Their hearts have come!"
"Of course!"
The White Eye atop the tower, upon receiving the command, slowly opened. A burst of White Light suddenly shot out from within.
'Zsh!'
Like a white laser, the Black Insect Sea that was struck seemed to evaporate instantly under high temperatures, revealing the dark land beneath.
Following this, as if it were a prelude to an attack, the White Light from the White Eye continued to shoot out in rapid succession.
Instantly, the black Insect Sea appeared to boil, emitting continuous wails of despair.
Moreover, the Giant Face that had just appeared was pierced by one of the beams.
However, despite large areas being evaporated by the White Light, there were still too many Black Bugs; the Black Insect Sea continued to surge forward at an alarming speed, rendering any delay ineffective.
Seeing this scene, Sani's expression sharpened as he took out something resembling a Heart from behind him.
While murmuring incantations, he hurled it fiercely towards the Insect Sea.
A large amount of white smoke suddenly emanated from the Heart in the air, and before long, it formed a gigantic White Steed composed of countless gas masses.
The White Steed was enormous, surrounded by swirling white smoke, emitting bird-like calls as it charged toward the Insect Sea.
"Bang!"
With a muffled sound, the White Steed immediately dispersed upon contact with the Insect Sea, and the scattered white gas seemed to possess strong adhesive properties, finally slowing down the Insect Sea's speed.
At this moment, Bruce also prepared a powerful Spell to throw at the Insect Sea.
The already slowed Insect Sea emitted a grating sound that made one's teeth ache as it slowly approached a standstill.
Brutus and Sani looked grimly at the Insect Sea, which was gradually being halted by their combined efforts, but the increasing number of Black Bugs behind them made it clear that the situation was far from over.
"Crack!"
Suddenly, a clear crack appeared in the white gas mass, followed by intricate patterns.
Warren, who had been readying his Spell, suddenly opened his mouth and spat out a red bead into the head of the solidified Lizard in the shadows.
With a hissing sound, as the Red Bead slowly sank into the top of the Lizard's head, its skull began to twist and change slowly, eventually forming a bizarre rune that burned with gray flames.
"It worked!"
Hearing Warren's shout, the two immediately rushed over and, in perfect harmony, reached out their hands to touch the rune together.
"Prepare, begin!"
Standing in the main position, Warren said in a deep voice. The two nodded, and the three of them simultaneously channeled their mental energy while chanting the incantation.
'Buzz'
The runes began to vibrate, and gray flames suddenly surged up, completely enveloping the three of them before spreading outward from their central point.
'Whoosh'
Immediately, the vast gray flames swept over the recently freed Black Swarm, and even the Black Pyramid Tower was not spared.
In silence, this group of Black Insects was quickly reduced to gray ash, blown away into the void.
These gray flames spread at an alarming speed, like a plague.
From above, it looked as if a drop of flame had fallen into a black oil pond, igniting the entire pond instantly, with large clouds of ash flying into the air.
However, when the gray fire reached the rear of the Black Insect Sea, an angry voice suddenly echoed from within.
"No! Damn wizards! Who allowed you to kill my descendants!!!"
The gray insects coalesced, revealing a figure in a black robe, its face obscured by a hood filled with insect shapes.
Taking a deep breath, he suddenly exhaled forcefully.
A large mass of black slime quickly adhered to the gray flames, and soon the raging gray fire weakened significantly before ultimately vanishing completely.
At this moment, thick ash had already settled on the ground, and the massive Insect Sea was burned clean, leaving only the figure of the Worm Man in a black robe.
"Crack!"
As the gray fire was extinguished, the strange runes between the three of them suddenly became covered in cracks, and then transformed into Black Powder that fell to the ground.
Sani and Bruce looked relatively fine, but Warren, who was primarily responsible, was greatly exhausted.
He quickly pulled out several bottles of potions from his body and desperately poured them into his mouth, trying to recover as fast as possible.
"Is that the controller behind Nest?" Sani frowned as she looked at the figure in the black robe that had just appeared.
In her perception, a dense and chilling aura seemed to surround that person, making her feel quite uncomfortable.
"Pretty much. I can sense the Hellish Aura emanating from it," Bruce quietly took out a White Rune ball and said in a low voice.
"Annoying thing! Eliminate it!"
After finishing her words, Sani clapped her hands, and a massive silhouette composed of countless ashes slowly emerged between both sides.
