After some thought, she decided to walk over.
Soon, the wooden house came closer with Freya's steps.
However, when she was only about ten meters away from the house, Freya's previously calm expression became somewhat strange.
She realized that the exquisite wooden house she had seen earlier appeared much larger up close.
Given Freya's height, she found that she could only reach about a third of the wooden door, and she had to stand on her tiptoes to touch the doorknob.
If this proportion were to be calculated, then the figure in the window would likely be no different from a Savage Mountain Giant.
Freya stood still, hesitating whether to enter when the large door of the wooden house suddenly opened a crack.
The gap was just wide enough for a person to pass through.
Moreover, Freya discovered that the interior of the wooden house was not the ordinary scene she had imagined, but rather a corridor that was spotless white.
Looking at this strange corridor, Freya felt somewhat speechless.
"What were the wizards who designed this mechanism thinking?"
However, since the door was open, it clearly intended for her to enter. Freya also vaguely sensed that her distance from the Reconnaissance Seed seemed to have decreased significantly with the door's opening.
It seemed that this was also a type of cursed item similar to teleportation.
After pondering for a moment, she cautiously stepped into the corridor.
The pure white color of the corridor was somewhat blinding, causing Freya to squint her eyes.
Chapter 246:
Roy turned his head, but it was not his face that appeared; instead, it was the lifeless head of a doll.
At that moment, its rectangular mouth opened wide, emitting a strange 'gaga' sound.
Instantly, Freya felt a tingling sensation on her scalp as a cold chill spread from her head down to her spine.
Without thinking, she swung her sword.
Clang!
The silver light of the Cross Sword flashed, and the wooden doll split in half with a thud, collapsing onto the stone path.
Freya stared at the bizarre doll on the ground with trembling hands.
From the split, fresh red blood began to flow out slowly, filling her senses with a strong metallic smell.
After a long while, once the chill in her heart gradually subsided, she regained her composure.
She kicked the doll that had been cut in half and found that aside from the real blood, there was nothing unusual about it.
"What is this thing?"
This sudden change had no energy reaction or any other abnormalities.
It seemed that when Freya entered with Roy, they had been replaced.
After a pause, Freya suddenly thought of something. She turned around sharply and saw that the black door, which had been half-opened before, had vanished without a trace.
All that remained were large patches of yellow-green flowers and a solitary stone path.
Seeing the disappearance of the entrance, she did not panic. Instead, she closed her eyes, and a faint green aura appeared on Freya's face.
After a long while, she slowly opened her eyes, revealing a thoughtful expression.
"The mental connection to the seed is still there, but the distance is very far. Could it be that I was transferred by the mechanisms of this secret realm? Did I trigger it the moment I stepped in?"
Glancing around, Freya confirmed that she was indeed in the secret realm, but she had no idea where exactly.
However, from her current surroundings, although it was bizarre and unusual, there seemed to be no immediate danger.
Feeling the direction of the seed, she chose not to follow the stone path but instead walked in another direction.
Her feet stepped on yellow-green flowers, which felt somewhat soft and tender. Combined with the surrounding environment, it created an illusion of being in a fairy tale world.
Nevertheless, Freya remained vigilant in this strange place.
After walking for about twenty minutes across the vast lawn, a peculiar wooden house suddenly appeared in Freya's line of sight in the distance.
The solitary wooden house had a pointed roof and a long, thin chimney.
Circles of white smoke rose from the chimney and slowly ascended into the sky, transforming into fluffy white clouds.
Through the colorful stained glass windows, Freya seemed to see a figure inside busily moving about.
"Is someone there?"
Watching the figure moving behind the window, Freya raised an eyebrow.
After walking for just three minutes, many doors appeared on both sides of the originally empty corridor.
The number of doors was numerous, extending to the end of Freya's line of sight, and each door had a different appearance.
Some were simple colors, others had various floral patterns, and some had writings that she could not understand.
Arriving at this strange corridor, Freya temporarily set aside her original plan regarding the Venomous Lizard Flower Petal. The only thing she could do now was to find an exit first before making any further plans.
While sensing the distance to the Reconnaissance Seed, she observed the wooden doors on either side.
After a while, she suddenly stopped in front of a door decorated with various flower toys.
In her mental sensing, this room was located closest to the Reconnaissance Seed.
Looking at the door, Freya exhaled lightly, raised her Cross Sword in front of her chest, grasped the doorknob with her left hand, and twisted it forcefully.
With a 'creak', the wooden door was easily turned open.
Inside was a large room that appeared to be a children's room, as it was filled with various toys, albeit at an enormous scale.
Freya's gaze swept over these giant toys and finally fixed on the belly of a Monkey Puppet at the very top.
The Puppet Monkey was entirely red, sitting obediently with a tall top hat and holding a yellow drumstick; however, there was a door on its belly.
In Freya's sensing, behind the door on the monkey's belly was the area closest to the seed.
But the monkey's position was at the very top of the piled-up toys.
This was undoubtedly like climbing a mountain for Freya.
Freya squinted slightly, scanning the area. After confirming there was nothing suspicious, she murmured a spell and took out some powder from her waist pouch to sprinkle over herself.
As the powder dispersed, she felt her body becoming lighter, as if she could float at any moment.
However, with a push of her foot against the ground, Freya truly lifted off the surface.
Watching the ground slowly recede, Freya nodded in satisfaction.
"This Wind Element Levitation Spell works quite well, though it ascends slowly and makes me an obvious target."
With the effect of the Levitation Spell, Freya drew closer to the Puppet Monkey at the top.
Just as she was about to step beside the monkey, a strong gust of wind suddenly blew her away.
Then, a gigantic head unexpectedly appeared in front of her.
It was a cute baby with big eyes. (To be continued).
