Chapter 225:
The geographical location of Nasha Academy is quite similar to Hilt's Windward Bastion.
However, Nasha Academy has one important piece of information that Hilt's Windward Bastion does not: it has the second largest library reserve in the South.
This is good news for Freya.
However, Freya's previous thought was that she needed a relatively quiet area for research and study.
The locations of these two Wizard Organizations somewhat contradict her idea.
Although the discoveries of other worlds are not considered highly confidential among wizards, she still does not want to be disturbed.
So, after some thought, she decided to close off the information barriers for these two Wizard Organizations.
Next is White Harbor, an affiliated organization of the Elk Family introduced by Hanks from the ship.
White Harbor is a Medium Wizard Organization specifically established for exploring other worlds.
Given its connection to the Elk Family, Freya can fully imagine the vast background of this organization.
Moreover, with the proof given by Hanks, if she chooses this organization, there would be no obstacles to her entry.
However, the recruitment information for this Wizard Organization within the barrier made Freya frown slightly.
She discovered that White Harbor primarily recruits combat personnel who serve as guards, with only a small number of specialized wizards being accepted.
After all, exploring other worlds is a very dangerous endeavor.
If Freya, the foreign wizard, chose to join, she was unsure what position the higher-ups at White Harbor would assign her.
After pondering for a moment, she decided to close the information regarding the Wizard Organization.
With three options eliminated, only Crimson Eagle and Sky City remained as potential Wizard Organizations.
The organizational information for Sky City was significantly more extensive than that of Crimson Eagle.
Most of the content highlighted the research contributions and awards that Sky City had achieved in recent years.
Moreover, from this detailed information, it was clear that every field within Sky City had high achievements, aligning perfectly with Freya's ideal vision of a Wizard Organization.
However, conversely, Sky City's recruitment standards were also the most stringent.
"Recruiting Official Wizards specialized in runes. Requirements: Within a specified time, one must perfectly and independently engrave a defensive Rune Tower capable of withstanding five attacks from level one pure Energy Particles. Those who meet this requirement can qualify for the second assessment."
Freya knew that a Rune Tower was a specialized tool for Rune Engraving. Its function depended on the engraved runes, whether for attack, defense, or boundary.
Generally, major Wizarding Organizations would establish Rune Towers at their bases.
However, engraving a Rune Tower was not an easy task; typically, it required at least three wizards working simultaneously. It demanded solid knowledge of runes and was a test of precision.
After all, if a Rune Tower was not completely finished and even one Rune Engraving failed, it would be catastrophic.
This essentially meant that the Rune Tower would be rendered useless.
Moreover, an individual's energy is limited; high-intensity precise engraving inevitably leads to errors. Therefore, even for the lowest-level Rune Towers, at least two people are needed to assist in checking and completing the work.
Yet Sky City's recruitment standard required only one person. Even for the most skilled rune wizards, it would be difficult to guarantee success, and this was just the first assessment.
After a brief assessment of her skills, Freya decisively shut it down.
"Now, only the most mediocre option remains: the Crimson Eagle. Known for its Fire Element and Wind Element, the Crimson Eagle is located in the Crimson Plain, slightly to the west in the South. There seems to be a Trading Tower established by a Sky City nearby, which is quite good. Moreover, this organization's specialization aligns with my affinity for the Wind Element."
Having made her decision, Freya lightly tapped the Barrier of the Crimson Eagle with her mental tendrils.
In an instant, a special mark and a stream of information flowed into her mind.
After selecting her destination within the Wizard Organization and browsing through other areas, Freya slowly opened her eyes.
Next to her stood the Female Apprentice.
Perhaps due to the lengthy wait, she was leaning against a nearby pillar, engrossed in reading a book on Basic Knowledge of Plant Energy.
However, upon noticing that Freya had opened her eyes, she hurried over.
"Master Wizard, do you have any other requests?"
Looking around at the still bustling square, Freya returned the crystal she held and said, "Is there a Signal Tower nearby? I need to send some letters, and I might need your assistance with a few things afterward."
As she spoke, she took out a green circular seed from her waist pouch and tossed it directly into the Female Apprentice's hands.
"This is a reward. Is that acceptable?"
Receiving the seed unexpectedly, the Female Apprentice's face lit up with joy upon sensing it with her mental energy, and she quickly put it away.
"Of course! It is my honor to serve you. Please follow me."
"Alright." Nodding lightly, Freya followed the Female Apprentice as they walked towards the square.
The towering Signal Tower was not far from the central department, and the two quickly arrived there.
After sending some letters to Rand and a few others she was still in contact with, she purchased some necessities and a carriage under the guidance of the Female Apprentice.
Then, in the afternoon.
Having just arrived at Dartesk, Freya left the city directly.
Her destination was the western Crimson Plateau.
...
The stagnation of mental power was actually not a significant trouble for wizards.
As mental power ceased to grow, Freya increasingly felt the subtle effects brought by the inertia of her mental power.
This included not only a dull perception of the surrounding Energy Particles but also a decrease in the energy condensation level of her Spells.
Fortunately, the excellent energy compression method she learned from Freyja had little impact on this situation.
However, if this stagnation lasted a bit longer, Freya began to worry that it could have adverse effects on her mental power.
On one hand, it could greatly reduce her future mental growth rate; on the other hand, it might also lower her success rate for advancement to some extent.
This was something all wizards with hopes for the future were unwilling to see.
Moreover, if mental power were to completely stagnate, reviving its activity would require quite a considerable cost.
So, that is why Freya hurriedly set off after choosing the Wizard Organization.
Three hours later.
In a tall Redwood Forest, a brown carriage was swiftly traveling down a wide road.
The gloomy sky occasionally flashed with one or two long streaks of lightning, accompanied by rumbling sounds.
It seemed that a heavy rain would soon fall.
Sitting in the carriage, Freya looked up and clearly saw the deep gray striped marks in the sky.
That was the enormous belly of the Storm Behemoth.
This guardian of Cloud City South seemed to enjoy occasionally bringing heavy rains to its territory, nourishing the land. (To be continued...)
