Chapter 223:
As soon as Freya nodded, she suddenly felt a chilling sensation in her right arm.
This chill was not about temperature but rather an aura, as if a terrifying creature were licking her with its tongue.
Again and again.
Amidst this peculiar feeling, strands of black, snake-like smoke were rapidly stripped away.
This smoke was originally meant to be reabsorbed by Black Spot, but as soon as it emerged, it seemed to be devoured by something.
Freya, sitting on the sofa, furrowed her brows as she stared at the increasingly ominous Black Spot.
Although the power of the curse was gradually weakening, she instinctively rejected this cold aura, as if the Evil Crow Bloodline was something truly dreadful.
Fifteen minutes later.
The smoke completely dissipated, and Snape, who had returned to his original state, sat on the sofa with his eyes half-closed, seemingly digesting something.
Freya moved her arm; although she could still sense the presence of Negative Energy within it, the amount was now extremely minimal. Under the balance of her own ability particles, it would likely be expelled from her body soon.
After a while, Snape opened his eyes. His black pupils glimmered with an inexplicable sheen in the dim room, giving him an impression of sudden cruelty.
It seemed that for Freya, dispelling the curse was not a consumption of energy but rather a form of replenishment.
"Alright, give it a try. Is there anything else uncomfortable?"
"Thank you so much, I feel almost fine now," Freya expressed her gratitude once again.
Although the dispelling was quite strange, it indeed saved her a lot of effort.
"That's good to hear," Snape nodded with a smile. "We have already sent Lani to Thorn Shield at the fastest speed. They have the best specialized healing White Wizard there. I believe we will receive news soon. By the way, Lady Freya, do you have any plans next, or are you considering something else?"
Hearing Snape's inquiry, Freya shook her head.
"I don't have any specific plans for now, but I want to find a suitable Wizard Organization in Cloud City to learn and settle down as soon as possible. Currently, my mental energy has completely stagnated. Since you've lived here for so long, do you have any good suggestions?"
"Oh, I see," Snape pondered for a moment before continuing. "Actually, you might have some understanding of Cloud City before coming here, but it may not be comprehensive. Let me give you a rough overview."
"The Cloud City area is vast and includes three large countries, five medium-sized countries, and numerous smaller ones. Its area is almost twice that of our Dis Mountain Range, and the number of Wizard Organizations is also significantly higher due to fewer conflicts.
However, there are three main Wizard Organizations that hold power in Cloud City. The first is Sky City in the South, which is where we currently are. It is a relatively chaotic yet peaceful area where various Wizard Organizations of different scales maintain harmonious relationships. The second is the Crimson Tower in the North; this region is somewhat more chaotic compared to the South but relatively freer. The biggest difference lies in the relationship between wizards and ordinary people, which is not as peaceful as in the South but resembles that of the Dis Mountain Range. The third is the City of Illusions in the East; this organization is quite special as it is essentially a large alliance formed by many Wizard Organizations, somewhat similar to our Elgreen Academy. The East is remote and lacks abundant resources, making competition particularly fierce, resembling the earlier days of Dis Mountain Range and also being an area with a higher number of Dark Wizards."
"Like Dis Mountain Range?" Freya raised an eyebrow in confusion upon hearing about the last organization. "The reason Dis Mountain Range often experiences turmoil is not only due to environmental resources but also because of conflicts with underground races. So who does the City of Illusions conflict with?"
"It involves the Sea Tribe and various mutants from the Tersnibela Mountains, Demonized Creatures, and ancient Polluters," Snape explained. "You know that the Sea Tribe has had many conflicts with our inland wizards since the Ancient Wizard era. Aside from some special regions and Wizard Organizations, there are more or less wars everywhere else. In fact, aside from the City of Illusions, every few years the other two major Wizard Organizations also send teams to the East for reinforcement against the Sea Tribe; this is well-known among all Wizard Organizations in Cloud City. As for Belram Academy in Tersnibela, it's not as severe compared to the Sea Tribe since those creatures are mostly low-level in terms of intelligence; even if higher intelligent beings occasionally appear, they usually can't cause much trouble due to their limited numbers."
"Oh, I see," Freya nodded thoughtfully. "So according to what you said, if I want to choose a place to study, I should prioritize either the South or the Northern regions. Besides these two major Wizard Organizations, are there any others with substantial backgrounds?"
"That depends on what suits you best. If I hastily suggest something to you, it might lead you astray. By the way, you haven't gone to Dartesk Center to take notes yet, right? That's perfect; they often have Wizard Organizations stationed there looking for recruits. You can go check it out. Honestly speaking, if you get a chance, it would be best for you to join Sky City because compared to the other two Wizard Organizations, Sky City has the richest background and offers comprehensive programs. Even if there are dangers, they have Storm Behemoths guarding them; after all, those have existed since ancient times and are Sixth Level beasts—Sky City's most powerful allies."
"Storm Behemoth?" Upon hearing this name, Freya suddenly thought of the enormous blue whale she had seen soaring through the sky for the first time. That breathtakingly massive creature could almost stand invincible just based on its size.
If that was indeed a Sixth Level creature, then the strength of Sky City was truly deserving of its title as the best.
However, it must be extremely difficult for such a powerful Wizard Organization to allow entry, and Freya was unsure if her abilities were sufficient to qualify for membership.
After some contemplation, she decided to be cautious.
"Well, I'll just wait and see. It would be great if I could join Sky City, but if not, that's fine too."
"Hehe, if you really become a member of Sky City, I might need your help then. You know, the power of Sky City in the South is quite significant," Snape said half-jokingly and half-seriously.
"Of course, no problem," Freya replied understandingly.
The two then shifted to discussing other topics and continued their conversation.
After resting at Benifen's Black Crow Apothecary for a while, the next morning, Freya headed straight to the Dartesk Center department. (To be continued...)
