Chapter Two Hundred Fifteen:
Five Hours.
The long sea voyage finally came to an end.
The black ship's hull heavily docked beside the port, and travelers of various attire began to disembark one after another.
Among the many passengers, Freya quietly stood on the Gunwale beside the ship.
Next to her was Lani, who was still asleep but standing upright due to a Spell controlling her body.
Opposite her was Hanks, dressed in a black suit, resembling a noble gentleman.
"Although Cloud City is a gathering place for the White Wizard, it is not entirely safe there, so you should be cautious. However, compared to the Dis Mountain Range, the wizards here are much more peaceful."
"White Harbor is located to the south of Cloud City. I spent some time teaching there; it is a suitable place for quiet study and research."
"If you're interested, you can visit Central Square in Cloud City. You will likely find many interesting things there."
The rambling words echoed in Freya's ears.
Although they had only spent a little over a month together, Hanks had an unexpectedly good impression of Freya.
Their conversations often took on the tone of an elder speaking to a younger person.
Moreover, Freya admired Hanks's extensive knowledge gained from his travels at sea.
As the last few people stepped onto the gangplank, Hanks finally stopped speaking and waved his hand.
"Alright, it's getting late. You should head down now."
"Thank you for your care during this time. After I finish my business, I will visit White Harbor," Freya said, bowing respectfully as a junior.
"Mm."
Hanks smiled and nodded gently, indicating for her to disembark.
Five minutes later.
On the stone-paved dock, Freya watched as the black gangplank slowly retracted.
On that massive ship, resembling a giant building, Hanks remained in place, the sea breeze gently blowing at his collar. Not far from Hanks, Freya faintly saw two familiar figures.
It was Ms. Freya, who had not yet disembarked, and Rost Youth, who had already woken up.
The two of them seemed to have received news from somewhere and were quietly watching Freya as she left the ship.
With a loud sound, the briefly halted Giant Ship began to slowly depart from the port once again.
Under special propulsion, the Elk's Passenger Ship soon sailed far away.
"It’s time to go to the agreed place and handle Lani's matters." She let out a light sigh.
Standing at the dock, Freya withdrew her gaze from the Calm Sea Surface. She scanned her surroundings at eye level before walking down the only main road of the dock.
Two hours later.
Under a cloudless blue sky, a black medium-sized carriage was slowly making its way across the emerald green grassland.
Freya sat in the driver's seat of the carriage, squinting her eyes as if dozing off. A gentle breeze swept through the grassland, rustling the verdant wild grass softly.
Inside the carriage were the sleeping Lani and her luggage.
According to Rand's initial agreement, Freya was heading to a town called Heiyan.
There, a branch of the Fennel Family was located, intricately connected to a major Wizarding Organization in Cloud City.
Rand's hopes regarding Lani's troublesome curse were all pinned on that place.
As for Freya's task, it was to secretly bring Lani there.
After an unknown amount of time, Freya opened her eyes from her routine meditation.
A flash of azure runes flickered in her Azure Blue Eyes.
She touched her forehead, revealing a hint of seriousness in her expression.
"Even the most basic recovery of spirit has become like this; it seems that the apprentice-level Meditation Method is really ineffective."
Mental power is the fundamental strength of a wizard and the essence of the soul.
All Spell releases and research experiments are inseparable from the use of mental power.
To enhance mental power, aside from potions or special magic circles, the most basic method is the Meditation Method.
However, up until now, continuously using the basic Meditation Method obtained from Hegel has finally reached its limit.
For Freya's current level, it is of no use at all.
Although Freya's own strength does not rely on mental power as much as other wizards, it is still very important.
Based on various materials that Freya has analyzed, her current mental power needs to increase by at least two Third-Rank Apprentice levels to reach Vaporization, and she also requires fixed potions for assistance.
Most of these resources are monopolized by the Wizard Organization.
Therefore, Freya's visit to Cloud City is not only to learn knowledge suitable for her but also to find a Wizard Organization to affiliate with.
The White Harbor introduced by Hanks seems to be a good choice in her eyes.
The Elk Family's industry itself is a huge brand, originating over five hundred years ago, established by a single Fourth-Level Archmage.
From its inception, it became a top-tier Wizard Organization with an incredibly strong presence and subsequently developed various related subsidiary industries.
In addition to maritime activities, the Elk Family also manages several other important commercial ventures.
As a result, today, the Elk Family has almost become a model for merchants, gradually forgetting the powerful strength behind this family.
In the context of such a large family background, White Harbor carries significant weight.
However, although Freya has high hopes for the Wizard Organization, she learned from Hanks that joining the Wizard Organization requires not only a token but also passing certain tests.
These tests are categorized based on the specialties of the wizards.
For example, there are categories for combat, Enchantment, runes, Summon, potions, and so on.
In terms of specialties, aside from combat, Freya excels in Runology, followed by Enchantment and Rune Engravings, with Pharmacology being her weakest area.
If she chooses to focus on her strongest area, combat, it is likely to impact her future studies and research.
Therefore, after some consideration, Freya decided to use Runology and Enchantment as the criteria for entering the Wizard Organization.
If she does not qualify in these two areas, she will then take the combat test.
Freya calmly contemplated her future path as the green plains gradually revealed a dark green hue with the advance of the carriage; it was a dense forest on the grassland.
The dark green forest rippled like waves with the rise and fall of the wind.
"This must be Emerald Forest. Beyond this forest lies the true area of Cloud City," she murmured with her eyes slightly squinted.
Suddenly, a strange and distant sound echoed from deep within that forest.
Freya instinctively lifted her head, and suddenly, she widened her eyes, revealing an expression of disbelief.
In her line of sight, above the forest, in the deep blue sky, a massive deep blue Leviathan slowly floated in the air.
This whale looked no different from those in the sea, but in terms of size, it was like a floating island.
The black shadow cast by its enormous body made the ground seem to enter a brief night.
Behind it was a thick layer of dark clouds, occasionally flashing with strands of lightning, while fine raindrops rushed down from the whale's belly.
"What is this thing!???"
Freya stared blankly at all of this, unable to express herself in words.
Even more astonishing was that on the broad back of this colossal creature, she could vaguely see towering buildings. (To be continued...)
