Chapter 208: 0

The Underworld, the final resting place of Transcendence. 0

However, this is merely a folk belief. According to the information that Freya has gathered, the Underworld is just a relatively higher realm compared to her own world. 0

There are intelligent beings there, and it has its own kingdoms. 0

This is due to the World Rift. 0

Many creatures in the Wizarding World possess characteristics of Underworld Bloodline. 0

As for the Hilt Goatman, if you disregard its Goat Head and only look at its eye color, it indeed reflects the main traits of Underworld beings. 0

What Freya finds difficult to understand is whether the Ruined World she is investigating belongs to the Underworld. 0

After all, everything she knows so far has been from documents rather than personal experience. 0

After some thought, she could only temporarily put away the ritual of the Hilt Goatman. 0

Outside the round ship window, the waves were already surging. 0

Dark clouds ravaged the Calm Sea Surface, and large white waves crashed against the Gunwale like ferocious beasts. 0

Even standing in the cabin, Freya could vaguely feel the immense power of nature. 0

However, this level of storm posed no threat to the Giant Ship of the Elk Family. 0

Unless they encountered the Sea Tribe, there were not many things that could trouble this ship. 0

She stood up; it was still early. 0

Freya glanced at Lani, who was dozing on the bed, and pondered for a moment, thinking about finding something to do. 0

Suddenly, a snap echoed in her mind. 0

It felt as if something had broken. 0

This made her pause slightly, and she quickly remembered the ghost she encountered in the Slave Area. 0

"Hmm? It can actually erase my mental traces?" She raised an eyebrow. "No wonder it is a descendant of Tros." 0

Originally, she had only attached the mental trace out of curiosity. Now it seemed to be even more interesting than she had imagined. 0

Changing out of her gown and putting on her white robe, Freya thought for a moment, picked up the Cross Sword beside her, and quietly walked out of the room. 0

... 0

A howling storm descended upon the deck, creating a crackling sound as if coating the deck with a layer of white mist. 0

In a hidden corner near the cabin on the deck, a young boy dressed in noble hunting attire crouched under a piece of black oilcloth, propping himself up with his hands. His green eyes squinted against the rain, and his once-smooth hair clung to his forehead and face, giving him a rather disheveled appearance. 0

He had been waiting in this spot for over an hour. 0

Maintaining the same position for such a long time was incredibly difficult for him, to the point where he felt as if he had no sensation below his waist. 0

However, for the sake of escaping, he had to endure this hardship. 0

Fortunately, if it weren't for the Fire Fairy Incident, he would never have been able to escape from that seemingly glamorous cage amidst the chaos. 0

"Crack!" 0

A bolt of Blazing White lightning flashed across, illuminating the boy's originally pale face. 0

The mark on the back of his neck seemed to warm slightly due to the lightning. A faint Azure smoke began to be expelled from the boy's body, unnoticed by him. 0

Just as the boy felt he could hold on no longer, hurried footsteps echoed from a distance. 0

In the dim light of the cabin, the boy vaguely saw a woman in an elegant gown rushing towards him. 0

The heavy rain soaked her dress, accentuating her slender figure, but she seemed completely unconcerned. 0

When she spotted the boy hidden in the corner, a look of pain immediately crossed her face, and she quickened her pace. 0

"Del, my child!!" 0

"Mother." 0

Seeing the woman appear, the boy finally could not hold on any longer and sat down on the deck. 0

She hurriedly embraced him tightly and whispered softly, "I'm sorry, my child. I'm late. As soon as we disembark, I'll take you home." 0

In the dim light, her face was revealed to be Ms. Freya, who had previously bid on the Contract Dagger at the Auction. 0

Hearing Freya's words, the boy blinked in her arms. 0

"Mother, can we go together? Father is very sad at home." 0

"I," Freyja paused, revealing a hint of pain on her face. "I'm sorry about your father." 0

Before she could finish her sentence, the boy named Del lowered his head and fell silent. 0

The once happy family of three was shattered when a group of strangers invaded their lives, taking away his mother. Using the Bloodline to deceive his father, they had managed to sneak onto the ship, only to be captured by those despicable men in black robes and locked in a cage. 0

However, he was fortunate enough to see his mother, only to hear these words. 0

This shattered Del's heart into pieces. 0

He was no longer a child; through his father's daily drunkenness and curses, he understood why his mother had to leave. 0

The root of it all lay in his mother's connection to the Black Forest and the Elk Wizard Family. 0

He and his father were ultimately not of pure human Bloodline. 0

"Is this fate?" he murmured softly, his eyes vacant. 0

Hearing the boy's whisper, Freyja painfully closed her eyes. After a while, she gritted her teeth and pulled out a crimson dagger from her bosom, placing it into his hands. 0

"Listen, Del, even though I can't return for now, I will eventually come back to you and your father. Take this dagger; when you encounter danger, smear your blood on it. It will help you. At the next stop, I will send you back! I promise! I will return to you because I love you both!" 0

"Really?" The previously somber boy suddenly looked up at his mother, disbelief written all over his face. 0

"Of course! When have I ever lied to you, my child?" Freyja forced a smile, but her eyes concealed deep pain behind the rain's veil. 0

"Alright, my child, this isn't a place to linger. Come, let's go somewhere safe." 0

As Freyja reached out to pull the boy up, a massive shadow suddenly appeared behind her. 0

"Crack!" 0

Another flash of lightning split the sky. 0

"Well, I didn't expect that after fifteen years, Ms. Freya would have such a big illegitimate child. I wonder what old Madeline thinks about this, tsk tsk." 0

The Ancient Voice, filled with heavy sarcasm, startled the two who had just calmed down. 0

Freyja's expression darkened as she slowly turned her head, shielding Del behind her. 0

In the blazing white lightning, there stood an old man with graying hair, dressed in a green robe. 0

Not a single raindrop fell on him amidst the torrential downpour, as if there were an invisible membrane surrounding him. 0

"It’s you, Lord Sis." 0

"Heh heh, I originally just wanted to discuss that dagger with you, but I didn’t expect to encounter such a scene. Honestly, no one wants this kind of thing." 0

The elderly man named Rocis shrugged his shoulders, his gaze fixed on the two with blatant greed. 0

"Of course, regarding the reputation of Black Forest, I couldn't care less. But you should know what you need to do now. The aura of that dagger would be very helpful for one of my experiments." 0

Silently staring at the tall old man before her, Freyja's face turned pale. 0

However, Del behind her looked at the old man with pure hatred. 0

He recognized that gaze all too well; it was the same look he had seen in the eyes of those who took his mother away! 0

His agitated emotions caused the mark on the back of his neck to slowly heat up and glow. The cheeks that had once appeared normal began to stretch into two sharp lines. 0

Noticing the change in her son, Freyja instinctively tightened her grip on him and then took out the dagger she had just given to Del. 0

"Alright, this dagger is yours now, but you must keep it a secret! Otherwise, even if your father looks at me that way, he will definitely not spare you!" 0

Her cold tone, however, brought a smile to Rocis's face. Looking at the dagger being offered to him, he happily replied, "Hehe, of course. After all, the Black Forest has always been a family I admire. If it weren't for that incident years ago, I might have been a part of that family by now. Who would want to be a Wandering Wizard otherwise?" 0

Receiving such a high-quality Contract Dagger without spending a dime made him very pleased. 0

However, just as he was about to take the dagger, he suddenly caught a glimpse of the young man's profile behind Freyja, and a faint unusual aura drew his attention. 0

In a daze, he seemed to recall something. 0

'That child?' 0

He then tilted his head and withdrew his outstretched hand, once again displaying a smile on his face. 0

"By the way, Ms. Freya, I'm in need of an apprentice. I wonder if your child would agree?" (To be continued...) 0
