“Chirping Chirping……” 0

Before long, a tender sound surprisingly came from the piece of flesh. 0

Feeling the energy fluctuations of the Blue Crystal at her wrist, Freya frowned. “Has it already catalyzed vocal cords and other organs in just twenty seconds? This speed seems more like creating a Flesh Puppet rather than an independent life form…” 0

The slender limbs and tail, the lizard-like head, and the fine scales that were rapidly growing indicated that the general outline of the body was beginning to take shape. 0

In less than a minute, this piece of flesh transformed into a living being. 0

As this creature continued to grow, Freya, wearing the Blue Crystal, faintly received information and chaotic thoughts from it. 0

‘Mom… Ma… Mommy’ 0

Suddenly, an intimate message appeared in her mind without warning, causing Freya to pause slightly. She soon Understood that it was coming from the creature on the table. 0

“Oh? Its thoughts have already developed?” 0

The lizard-like creature on the table seemed to sense her presence. Although its eyes had not yet formed, its body turned towards Freya as its limbs moved. 0

‘Mom… eat… food… hungry’ 0

The simplistic Spiritual Message piqued Freya's curiosity. Just as she reached out to touch the creature's head, its half-open mouth suddenly widened, and a row of delicate white soft teeth instantly grasped her finger. 0

“Even a catalyzed creature possesses instincts? It seems this is part of its genetic memory.” Looking at the lizard head that was continuously sucking on her finger, Freya pulled her finger back and tossed some crackers or similar food onto the table. 0

The aroma of food immediately attracted its attention, and the creature crawled towards the biscuit. 0

"Crunch, crunch." 0

A pile of biscuits. It was finished in no time. 0

After eating, the Lizard's body swelled slightly, and its eyes slowly opened, revealing the light yellow Slit Pupils characteristic of crawling creatures. 0

At this moment, the Blue Crystal, which had been emitting a faint energy aura, quietly ceased its activity after the creature's development was complete. 0

Feeling the curious emotions constantly feedbacking from this entity in her mind, Freya subconsciously tapped on the table while deep in thought. 0

On the surface, it seemed that this creature's formation was influenced by the juice of the Tentacles, but in reality, it was the mutual fusion of information that triggered a certain switch within the crystal, leading to the catalysis of life in the flesh. 0

However, looking at the Lizard, which was still only the size of a fist, Freya confirmed that this creature seemed to have lost its ability to grow uncontrollably due to some other reason that ignored energy conservation. Alternatively, this fellow might just be the most primitive version of those creatures seen in the Testing Area. 0

"The reason those creatures were created back then might have been to serve as cannon fodder. There are likely other types of beings in the entire Biological Testing Zone," Freya easily deduced useful information based on her recollection of that scene and this creature's combat characteristics. 0

In retrospect, that Testing Area indeed resembled a biological weapons factory of the Wizard Organization. 0

At this moment, besides constantly reflecting her thoughts, there was also a clear message in her mind waiting for orders. 0

"It must be because of this crystal in my hand. Does it regard me as its mother?" Freya thought to herself with a slight understanding. 0

The information waiting for a command might be the most primitive key in this creature's brain. 0

After some thought, Freya directed a command towards the creature. Then she severed the connection with it. 0

The once lively creature immediately became restless and terrified, constantly pacing on the table. Its gaze towards Freya shifted from affectionate to fearful. 0

Ignoring its struggles, Freya grabbed the creature and threw it out of the window. 0

Watching it quickly disappear into a patch of grass, Freya finally withdrew her gaze. 0

If this creature had not lost its extraordinary growth ability, she wouldn't have minded adopting it as a pet. However, now it was merely the most primitive version. In the future, it might grow into something massive, but considering the growth cycle of crawling creatures, the time required would be too long to justify her investment in nurturing it. 0

Letting it go was the best decision. 0

Having resolved that creature's fate, Freya returned to the table and picked up the Silver Knife again. She sliced along the base of the Tentacles, moving all the way to the prominent tip. 0

Instantly, green liquid began to flow from the Long Scar. 0

Freya set down the knife and inserted her finger into the center of the Long Scar, extending a faint sense of energy. 0

With a soft sound, most of the scales connected to a skin-like substance on that Tentacle were peeled away by Freya. 0

Freya retracted her hand, lightly patting it as the green liquid that had stained her fingers dripped down. 0

She scanned the open interior of the Tentacles, where brown plant fibers crisscrossed like veins within a living organism, emitting a faint bitter scent. 0

On the protrusions of the Tentacles, there were jagged white objects at both ends and in the center of the round eyeball. 0

After surveying the area, Freya reached out to touch the eye, finding it hard, almost crystalline. 0

She knocked on it carefully, producing a hollow thud. 0

Observing the general composition of this object, she paused for a moment before directly grabbing it, easily pulling out the round eye. 0

"This simple mental attack must originate from this organ." 0

Weighing the eye in her hand, Freya suddenly noticed a strange circular rune reflected in its Slit Pupils. 0

This rune was unlike any she recognized; its shape resembled a coiled Black Serpent, with its inverted triangular eyes staring directly at her. 0

"Could this... be a special rune formed by it?" 0

Staring at the Black Serpent, Freya felt an inexplicable sense of fear wash over her. 0

However, this phenomenon also brought Freya a sense of delight. 0

The phenomenon of Elemental Rune forming within the body mostly occurs in certain special creatures, all of which are powerful beings. 0

She never expected to encounter one today. 0

However, extracting this thing safely requires not only a high level of rune mastery but also a certain level of anatomical knowledge. 0

Although she had worked as an assistant in the Necromancy Department laboratory for a while, she was still not proficient enough in anatomy. 0

If she were to proceed with the extraction recklessly now, it might damage the runes within the eye. 0

With some regret, she gently touched the eye in her hand and Freya solemnly set it aside. 0

Turning back to glance at the still-restrained Tentacles, Freya frowned slightly. A plant with an Elemental Rune is itself a powerful special symbol, and the Wizard Organization that used such a plant as material for a Synthetic Creature must be incredibly strong. 0

She felt that it was time to conduct a proper investigation. 0

There had not been much progress in utilizing the Tentacle Plant for now, but once the runes within were successfully extracted, their effects would surely be significant. 0

As for these matters, they would have to wait until she returned to the academy to make further plans. 0

In addition to the capabilities of the Tentacle Plant, Freya also seemed to vaguely guess that the Blue Crystal in her hand belonged to a biological Controller type of object, and its similar function to the Energy Gathering Array was likely just a secondary attribute. 0

Of course, she wasn't very interested in its primary function; she had no intention of creating a large number of expendable creatures for combat or deploying them on the wizard battlefield in the future, as these did not align with her interests. 0

She believed that true strength came from within herself; no matter how powerful external factors might be, they were still just that—external. While they might have some temporary effect on her, eventually, when she became strong enough, she would need to let them go. 0

Now, her mental strength was already infinitely close to the peak of a Third-Rank Apprentice, and with the help of this crystal, she was continuously refining it. Given her current age, her physical condition was also improving steadily. Although reaching the Knight's Pinnacle was somewhat challenging, it was not out of reach. 0

At her current level, she had already achieved an invincible standard below that of a wizard. 0

What she lacked now was only the Promotion Array. 0

However, just thinking about the difficulty of obtaining those materials made Freya's head ache. 0

"Do other Third-Rank Apprentices without a family feel as troubled as I do? Is there no other way besides going to secret realms or Resource Points and hoping for luck?" She frowned slightly, feeling a bit anxious inside. 0

Despite her worries, her current situation left her feeling completely in the dark, as if all information had been cut off. This made Freya understand why wizards were becoming increasingly rare in her homeland. 0

In addition to the scarcity of resources, the isolation from knowledge and information had caused the legacy of wizards and other aspects to gradually fade away, reducing them to mere stories. 0

She gently shook her head; she understood that no amount of anxiety would help. She could only endure this half-year period little by little and then reassess everything when she returned to the academy. 0

As Freya withdrew her thoughts and reached out to continue her research, the door that had been closed suddenly made a sound. 0

'Knock knock knock.' 0

"Who is it?" Freya turned with a frown. Her mood was still somewhat unhappy due to her earlier thoughts, and being interrupted now only added to her displeasure. 0

"Freya, it's me," Bert's youthful voice came from outside. 0

"I'm currently conducting an important experiment. Please do not disturb me unless it's urgent," her tone was somewhat cold. 0

"Uh..." Bert outside the door was taken aback but continued, "It's an important message from Teacher Sara for you." 0

"Hmm?" Hearing it was about Saradin, Freya's furrowed brows relaxed slightly as she walked to the door and opened it. 0

Bert stood outside, looking at her cautiously, holding a black cylindrical object in his hands. 0

"Has Master Sara not returned yet?" Freya asked casually as she took the cylinder. 0

"Yes, but the teacher already knows you are back," Bert replied honestly. 0

"Oh." Nodding, she directly pulled out the stopper of the cylinder and poured out the letter inside. 0

The letter contained very few words, just one line, but it made Freya pause slightly as she read it. (To be continued) 0
