It is important to note that these creatures possess such strong power even in their embryonic stage; one can only imagine what they would be like as fully matured beings. 0

Freya scanned the rows of wooden shelves, feeling a sudden chill in her heart. 0

In her line of sight, it was not just the top of the previously seen creature that exhibited such a form; some were even longer than that one. 0

Although these entities were contained within glass vessels, she immediately chose to exit the room. 0

'Bang!' 0

With a heavy sound of the door closing, Freya cautiously applied a layer of Energy Particles before finally letting out a sigh of relief. 0

"How could the experimental subjects not have been taken away? What on earth happened in this Laboratory Area?" 0

Once she calmed down, Freya fell into deep thought. 0

Since entering this place, she had noticed that other rooms had been more or less cleared out, with only the room at the end and the one she had just entered still containing items. 0

From this, it could be inferred that this organization may not have planned their migration a century ago but rather left in haste due to an unexpected situation, resulting in their most valuable data and experimental subjects being left behind. 0

However, the reason that prompted all the wizards in the Laboratory Area to choose to evacuate so abruptly puzzled her. 0

With questions lingering in her mind, she glanced once more at the tightly closed door beside her before turning to walk toward the room at the end. 0

She had been drawn over by that sound earlier, leaving her little time to look through many books. 0

And regarding knowledge accumulation, she had always placed great importance on it. 0

Once again, she returned to that clean room. 0

As Freya casually pulled out books from the shelf that she hadn't seen before, a strange sour smell slowly wafted up from beneath her feet. 0

She lowered her head and took a glance, instantly startled. 0

She discovered that several long, slim trails of slime had appeared there at some unknown time, as if some creature had crawled through. 0

At the other end of the trail was the room Freya had just left. 0

"When did this come out?" 0

Cautiously stepping back a few paces, Freya scanned her surroundings along the slime trail. 0

However, she found that these traces vanished completely after passing by the bookshelf. 0

"Disappeared?" Looking at the broken trail, Freya shook her head. "No, it's not gone; it's either invisible or hidden." 0

Nothing could simply vanish without a trace. 0

Freya stepped back a few more paces, placing herself in a more spacious area, while the faint energy of the Force Field delicately reflected her surroundings. 0

However, just as Freya was still searching for the unknown danger, a sharp gust of air suddenly appeared behind her. 0

'Swish!' 'Thud!' 0

The Cross Sword carved a deep mark in the air. A sensation of striking an object clearly transmitted from the Blade. 0

Freya suddenly turned around and looked back. 0

Behind her lay a strange crawling creature, about the size of an ordinary wolfdog, sprawled awkwardly. Half of its body had been completely severed, blue blood and internal organs spilling everywhere, accompanied by a hissing sound of corrosion. 0

However, even though this creature was dead, the tentacles on its head continued to writhe incessantly. 0

"Is this the embryo from earlier?" 0

Freya stared at the corpse on the ground in astonishment, her brow slightly furrowed. 0

What she had seen in that room earlier was only the size of a human head. She never expected it to grow this large in such a short time. 0

Freya suddenly had a feeling that she might have let something significant escape. 0

"Roar!!" 0

Just as Freya was contemplating whether to leave, she suddenly felt a sharp pain in her arm, followed by a strong sucking sound. 0

Instinctively, she jerked her arm away and then thrust out her sword. 0

However, this time there was no sensation of striking something. 0

'Thud!' 0

The sound of something heavy hitting the ground echoed in front of Freya. A dinosaur-like creature was adjusting its posture and tilting its head to stare at her, its sharp teeth glistening with fresh red blood. Above its head, a long slender tentacle swayed back and forth. 0

Looking at the creature's appearance, Freya covered her injured arm, her gaze instantly turning cold. 0

"The strange growth rate and reactions... a hundred years... perhaps I have already guessed the reason why this Laboratory Area was abandoned." 0

As that creature was under Freya's gaze, its figure began to blur and then completely vanished from sight. 0

"This creature does not belong to the products of natural evolution; those tentacles must have been transplanted... or perhaps those tentacles were originally organs of another species." 0

Freya pondered as she slowly backed away toward the wall. 0

Although it was invisible to her eyes, she could sense the creature's movements through the faint energy of the Force Field surrounding her. The feedback indicated that there were actually five of these creatures in the room, and one of them exuded a deep sense of danger. 0

A gentle airflow began to spill out, forming a slight whirlwind. 0

Suddenly, a soft sound of air being sliced through echoed, and Freya swiftly sidestepped while extending her Cross Sword. 0

"Slash!" "Bang!" 0

A cutting sound and the thud of something heavy hitting the ground followed immediately from her Cross Sword. 0

A dinosaur-like creature, about one and a half meters tall, stumbled and fell to the ground, light blue blood oozing from its side down to its legs as it struggled to get up. 0

Seeing this, Freya immediately threw a dagger, pinning it firmly in place. 0

"Its defense and speed have significantly increased... and it possesses an ability to become invisible... quite troublesome, but it also has weaknesses." 0

Watching the Strange Creature still writhing and not yet dead, Freya suddenly thrust her Cross Sword in a specific direction while launching another dagger. 0

"Clang!" "Roar!!!" 0

The dagger was directly knocked away, but it also revealed the creature completely. The sword that Freya thrust struck through one of its left limbs entirely. 0

"Hiss..." 0

A faint sound of corrosion came from the Blade. Freya felt the front part of her Cross Sword suddenly lighten and break. 0

She discarded the Cross Sword and drew another dagger from her body, aiming it at the exposed creature. 0

"Thud." 0

After a slight sound, the dagger embedded itself into its eye socket, emerging from the back of its head. 0

"No matter how hardened the skin is, weak points like the eyes can still be penetrated!" Watching the creature convulse and die, Freya narrowed her eyes slightly and drew another dagger from her body. 0

She had prepared many spare weapons for this journey, specifically to deal with such unexpected situations. (To be continued) 0
