If an ordinary Apprentice Wizard is deprived of energy perception, it means they have lost most of their combat ability. Even though they possess physical qualities far superior to those of an average person, it is useless if they do not know how to utilize them. 0

However, Freya is not included in this category. Before becoming an Apprentice Wizard, she was already at the level of Knight's Pinnacle, and now she has reached the realm of Great Knight. In close combat, unless faced with someone of equal rank, no one can surpass her. 0

Although she previously could not sense the strength of the young man for some reason, she assumed it would not be very high. After all, if he were an Official Wizard, he would not resort to such underhanded tactics. 0

Perhaps seeing the sudden smile on the girl’s face caused a jolt in the young man's heart. His instincts honed from years of fighting made him feel a deep-seated fear as if he were facing a formidable enemy. 0

"What are you laughing at?" he asked with a slight frown. The information provided to him about Freya was limited; he only knew that she was a Third-Rank Apprentice sent from the Elgreen headquarters and had completed a mission in Katia City involving the rescue of Apprentice Wizard Bert from the Red Eagle's captivity. That was why he had been tasked with causing trouble for her. 0

Suddenly, without any response, a silver streak cut through the air. The young man instinctively raised his longsword but felt a chill in his chest as a faint smell of blood spread around him. Then his body was sent flying backward. 0

"What...???" His eyes widened in disbelief as he crashed into the wall behind him. 0

Bang! 0

The powerful recoil kicked up a cloud of dust and caused him to spit out blood. 0

Freya held a Black Dagger in her hand, calmly watching as the young man was sent flying by her strike. Her golden hair had loosened due to her swift movement and was slightly lifted by the wind. 0

Behind her, two middle-aged men in the carriage slumped awkwardly in their seats, a long streak of blood extending from their foreheads downwards. Blood dripped steadily from them, pooling on the ground beneath the carriage. 0

Previously, when facing elite apprentices like Aishebun at Abyssal Lake, she had to exert considerable effort to break through their defenses and often found herself in perilous situations. But now, dealing with two ordinary Second-Class Apprentices felt no different than killing two regular people; they hadn’t even had time to react before being eliminated. 0

The young man who had been directly knocked back by her attack leaned against the wall. After spitting out another mouthful of blood, he managed to regain some composure but still stared weakly at Freya. 0

"Who exactly are you? An ordinary Apprentice Wizard couldn't possibly have such strong melee abilities. You are not Freya!" The young man's voice was no longer as magnetic as before; it had become hoarse. Clearly, Freya's earlier strike had severely injured his lungs. 0

"Hmm? Do you still have the strength to talk?" Freya tilted her head slightly, standing in place. Although she had intentionally held back during that last attack, she hadn't expected him to endure so stubbornly. 0

"Who are you? Did that bunch of useless Elgreen find help at the Mercenary Guild?" Ignoring Freya's words, the young man seemed to regain some strength. With a cold gaze, he attempted to prop himself up with his longsword, greenish marks slowly gathering at the wound on his chest. This guy was also an Apprentice Wizard. 0

However, just as he quickly began to heal himself with a Spell, Freya suddenly vanished from in front of him, and a tremendous force surged from her abdomen. 0

A pain like a knife extended from Freya's black Leather Boots into the young man's stomach. Blood oozed from the tips of her shoes. 0

Quickly retracting her foot to avoid getting blood on it, Freya leaned down to look at the young man who had collapsed again, nodding in satisfaction. She reached out and grabbed the ring from his index finger. 0

As the young man watched the ring being taken away, his face, which had been twisted in pain, immediately changed again. 0

Playing with the ring in her hand, Freya brought it to her nose and sniffed it lightly. Then she frowned slightly; with a firm grip, the ring shattered into pieces. 0

"I thought it was a high-level Cursed Item; turns out it's just an ordinary ruby ring coated with a layer of precious Malan Liquid... What a disappointment." 0

Malan Liquid was originally a rare coating used to block energy transmission. It was often employed in experiments with strong contamination to isolate energy. This ring clearly used this method to cut off energy perception, but its effectiveness was likely limited to ordinary apprentices. Even if an Official Wizard were affected, they would easily break free. 0

Freya, who had initially expected an unexpected gain, felt somewhat disappointed upon discovering its secret. Once she understood what it was, her interest waned. 0

Casually discarding the fragments in her hand, she finally focused on the handsome young man lying on the ground, completely convulsed in pain. 0

"Stop pretending. With your Knight's Pinnacle physique, this level of injury is not enough to take your life. Besides, you are still an Apprentice Wizard; you were simply using Plant Energy and Energy Particles to temporarily suppress your wound earlier and are still secretly using them now." 0

Realizing that his acting had been seen through, the young man paused slightly, slowly hiding the painful expression on his face. He wiped the blood from his mouth, fixed his gaze on Freya's face, and spoke in a hoarse voice. 0

"Friend, since you are not Freya, I hope we can go our separate ways now. You should know that even if you are a Great Knight, offending the Blue Eagle Nest will not end well for you. Moreover, you have already killed two apprentices; consider the previous offense settled. If that is not enough, whatever Elgreen offered you, I will pay you double. How does that sound?" 0

From his words, it was clear he still did not believe that Freya was the real deal. 0

"How can you be so sure that I am not Freya?" Looking at this person who was fixated on his own assumptions, Freya suddenly found it amusing. 0

Perhaps sensing a shift in the situation, the young man pulled at the corners of his mouth, revealing an ugly smile. 0

"Because of your Great Knight strength. I have never seen anyone who possesses the strength of a Great Knight and is also a Third-Rank Apprentice. After all... human energy is limited." 0

"Oh? Then since that's the case, aren't you also an Apprentice Wizard while being at Knight's Pinnacle?" 0

"Me? Heh, my wizarding talent is very low; I only have a first-level qualification. After three years of hard work, I finally entered the ranks of Second-Class Apprentice out of necessity to switch to knight training. If it weren't for the Blue Eagle..." The young man's tone was indifferent, but Freya could still clearly hear the disappointment in his voice. 0

"Forget it; I'm not in the mood to hear your story." Seeing that he was about to continue, Freya directly interrupted him. "Regardless of whether you think I am Freya or not, I want to ask you why your Blue Eagle has repeatedly kidnapped apprentices from Elgreen's base. Don't you know the background of this base?" (To be continued) 0
