In addition to the two leather cases of materials and books in her hands, Freya also had a regional map of Elgreen Academy.
This simple map cost her five Magic Stones to purchase.
Satisfied with her belongings, Freya silently returned to her room.
Elgreen, as one of the top Wizard Organizations in the Dias Mountains, had an astonishingly large jurisdiction.
It included three large kingdoms of ordinary people, four affiliated organizations of wizards, and dozens of significant Resource Points.
Although Freya knew the exact location of Katia, she still needed the help of a map to travel from the academy to there.
She spread the map out on her desk and quickly found the location of Katia City, which was the nearest city to the academy, located in a kingdom called Aguia.
As Freya had thought, this city was already on the edge of Elgreen's jurisdiction.
A little further ahead would lead into another Wizard Organization's border territory.
"Based on this distance, it would take nearly a week to reach there without stopping. Just in time for me to stabilize my mental strength during this period. Katia City is in a peaceful area; although it falls under the control of wizard forces, most people there are unaware of it. Except for the high-ranking nobles, their information is similar to that of Dragon Harbor. As a country supplying ordinary food and daily necessities, I shouldn't encounter any dangerous situations."
Freya calmly analyzed the information surrounding Katia City.
From what she knew, there seemed to be only one stationed wizard from the academy in that area. The others were apprentices enjoying their retirement, all with their potential drained and with no opportunity to advance to Official Wizard.
It was unclear what the higher-ups at the academy were thinking by pushing Freya into that situation.
After understanding the general information about the Katia region, Freya left messages for a few friends she had made at the academy and then fell into meditation to stabilize her recently improved mental strength.
...
Two days later.
It seems that something must have happened to the family of Franc Sith during this time, leading to a significant migration; otherwise, they wouldn't have ended up in such a resource-scarce area.
"It really feels like everything has changed."
Putting away the letter from Franc Sith, Freya glanced at the books on the table. These were all about Basic Knowledge for Third-Rank Apprentices that she had borrowed from the library.
Although the order did not specify a concrete timeline, according to the academy's usual practices, it would not exceed three.
So during this time, she needed to prepare in advance.
Katia City was a city of ordinary humans, lacking both resources and knowledge. Fortunately, Freya had already gone through most of the specific knowledge regarding Third-Rank Apprentices.
However, due to her own studies, she had only purchased two or three Spell Models suitable for her. For other Third-Rank Apprentices, this reserve of spells was completely insufficient.
In addition to being able to learn a large number of Zero-Level Spells, Third-Rank Apprentices also qualified to optimize Spell parsing.
Some particularly elite apprentices would have their families provide corresponding optimized Spells, saving them a lot of time on analysis and simplification.
She also needed information and materials related to the Enchantment Department.
"Half a year... First, I need to buy more materials used by the Enchantment Department and other essentials. I should also check if Franc Sith has any Spell Models I need..."
With that thought in mind, Freya walked directly out of her room and headed towards the Trading Area.
The Trading Area was still as peaceful as usual, with rows of shops open twenty-four hours. Apprentices moved about, purchasing the items they needed.
Freya looked around and walked down one of the aisles.
She currently had compensation provided by the Rand Family, which was enough for her to buy all the necessary items.
After some time, Freya emerged from the Trading Area.
She now had two heavy black leather cases in her hands, which seemed quite full.
In the morning, amidst the dense forest.
On the way to Elgreen Academy, a Black Carriage emerged from the academy.
The driver's seat of the Black Carriage was empty, yet the horse seemed to move forward as if following some kind of instruction.
Dressed in simple hunting attire, Freya sat quietly among the horses, reading a book in her hands.
This was a document from the Enchantment Department regarding precautions for making Cursed Items, which she was reading to pass the time.
The forest surrounding the academy was protected by a built-in warning magic circle, but it was unaffected due to the academy's emblem.
The carriage rolled along the path, making a rumbling sound, occasionally startling the Rabbit Guardians hidden in the woods.
After an unknown amount of time, she put away her book and lifted the curtain of the carriage window to look outside.
The forest outside had disappeared, and the path beneath the carriage had transformed into a wide road. Fields appeared before her, where commoners dressed in gray linen were working in the soil.
Freya glanced at a wooden sign beside the road to confirm her location and then resumed reading her book.
Around six or seven in the afternoon, the carriage finally arrived at a town called Berg.
Although townsfolk were somewhat surprised by a moving carriage without a driver, they were not overly concerned; they had some understanding of mysterious wizards.
If memory served correctly, Berg Town also belonged to the academy's area and was roughly equidistant from Abyssal Lake, just in the opposite direction.
Freya maneuvered the carriage and soon arrived at the only inn in town.
As she stepped down from the carriage, a handsome boy of about ten years old was already waiting there; he was an attendant of the inn.
With agility, Freya lifted two black leather suitcases from the carriage and pulled out a Silver Coin, tossing it in front of the boy.
"A quiet room and some food, and please buy me about three rations; the rest will be considered a fee."
"Yes, my lord." The boy respectfully replied while holding a Silver Coin, his eyes fixed on the ground, not daring to look up at Freya.
"Mm." Freya noticed the boy's attitude and understood that this was the typical fear ordinary people had towards mysterious and dangerous wizards.
Although she wasn't wearing the academy's Gray Robe, the special carriage had already revealed their identities to these people.
Following the boy's lead, Freya strode into the inn.
'Creak'
The heavy wooden door was pushed open, revealing various noisy sounds from inside.
Freya's Leather Boots made crisp sounds as they struck the inn's floor.
She glanced around the inn's environment and frowned slightly.
Under the dim light of the lit oil lamps, several warriors clad in Leather Armor were drinking, and the strong smell of cheap Barley Beer filled the entire room. (To be continued)
